    I saved this one so I can go back and soak up more about this. I only have a Dobyns 795 now but hope to grow my rod selections and swimbaits.

      They’re absolutely BAD to the bone!

      @Frostin_Austin yeah, I've also never had issues with the cutter points destroying a fish's mouth tbh. I've caught numerous fish between 7-10lbs on those hooks and never once did it leave a giant gaping hole in their mouth or face. If you have the right rod, and know how to efficiently fight a fish quickly, that won't ever happen. That usually only happens when you're fishing braid on a rod that's too fast.

    What happened to the massive dobyns line up of swimbait rods?

  • @jimt5683
    @jimt5683 21 годину тому

    Nothing compare to dobyns, it's not the lightest but I take balance all day. Warranty is the best in the game but Gary sold the company, what a dam shame

    Do you throw soft swimbaits as well or mostly the hard baits?

    • @Frostin_Austin
      @Frostin_Austin  День тому

      Yeah, all these rods are stiff enough to pin them and keep them pinned with single hook softies of treble hook line throughs

    I switched to the Dobyns 794-795 and 806 and paired them with the new Shimano Bantam reels and love them but tatula does have some nice rods as well.
