Jon, I've been searching for the sound of SH-16 (your bridge pickup) for a few years. I listen to all SH-16 videos on youtube including your video when modifying this guitar. 10:24 is the exact test that I want to hear. Just a simple chord with minimal or no effect at all. Thank you for making this video.
Hi Johnatan! Interesting unit, it has usable sounds, but maybe a little expensive... I liked the video, especially the background music, very very nice!
Thinking it sounds pretty good. Excellent demo. I was hoping for a little more of that Ironheart Studio sound from the unit. Like you said, maybe the lower output pickups. What pedal did you end up getting for your friends board? You mentioned you wanted something will a little more meat then Dark Matter.
I was surprised. It has 2 12AX7's in it, but it didnt seem noisy at all... though it's hard to tell through UA-cam audio. Ive heard other stuff with preamp tubes in it that hissed like crazy. Generally, I thought it sounded great, but like you I was expecting more gain. Ironheart. Right? .. You just expect that gain to be there. Thanks for the vid!
Hi Jon, I actually own the Daddy of this.. The Laney IronHeart IRT-SLS… It’s a great amp and has lots of features. I don’t play metal.. I primarily play blues and rock… it takes pedals well.."l

Oh wow!! Hahahaha who know that a video of a pedal will let you hear how a pickup sounds! Awesome!!✌️🤓
Great review of this underrated Laney solution.
Much appreciated!
You always do a wonderful review, at least the ones I've viewed, very professional, thanks
Thank you Michael!! ✌️🤓

Grazie Antonio!! It's expensive.. Probably because it's more than an effects pedal. 🤓✌️
Great informative video, Jonathan. Many thanks.
No worries!!! ✌🤓

So was I...the unit was so quiet. As for the gain, I think it would be great with a higher output guitar..maybe with humbucker or EMGs hahah

nice! I am buying one for myself soon...
Cool!!
HI :-) How would this be, after pedals, in to a snake to mixer, to do direct to FOH?
yep✌♥
The hot channel is actually solid state. The clean is tube driven
really? hmmm....

Is this true?! The distortion isn't tube driven?!?
