With it being based on the 75 I’d imagine it’ll have a transaxle? It’ll be how it manages its 50:50 weight distribution, the 75 was renowned for its handling and balance. Also if it’s same as a 75, if you take the wheels off you’ll see the brakes are missing, it’s got inboard discs to keep the unsprung mass down
I always hated changing the rears on my 3.0L Milano Verde (US Model Name) because of just that, but loved the exhaust note. And once I put on the spherical bearings from the ES30, I loved the handling too. Nothing sounds like the Busso V6, the only other V6 that compares might be the Yamaha 3-3.2 liter from the SHO.
I bought mine 10 years ago, and never regretted the buy. Many other cars have come and left my collection - this is a keeper. It’s quick, nimble, corners nicely, it’s fast, but quite comfortable. Maintenance is simple, because it’s based on the AR 75. They are still great value for money, many are for sale in the region of 60k Euros. You pay much more for a 911 of the same area, or a F 348/355.
I know I’m getting on a bit when I can remember seeing the SZ at a motor show when I was a kid when it was just launched. It’s was as insane back then as it is now. A guy in my town has one and in the flesh they are insane.
My dad had a 75 when I was a kid in the early 90’s so I grew up an Alfa fankid I had 1 of these, it was my favourite car in my toy car collection but I don’t think I’ve ever seen 1 in the wild
92? The N plate would be a 95/96 registration year. Regardless, I too LOVE the SZ ❤️ I’m not sure you mentioned the fact it has a transaxle similar to the 944 😘 hoping you end up with this,, its just what your collection requires 👍👍👍🇮🇹🇬🇧
Great content Tom, stick with it. Love the SZ. Won’t be bidding on it as having owned 3 Alfa’s I’ve spent enough time already in the company of AA low loader drivers 😂
That V6 engine is very reliable and it just needs care, check the oil regularly and it should cross Europe without missing a beat. Check Davide Cironi's channel on that car, he drives it really hard.
Damn, i hope you get to buy this car. One of my absolute dreamcars of all times. Would love to see you making great content with this beauty ! A Iconic design for all time. Crossing everything that this will be yours !!!
@TGE TV actually got a 987 Cayman S as a result of watching your classic car endeavours and I must say I absolutely love it!! Yeah sure, it is not a a 911 of any sort, however value wise I think these are absolutely top notch if you happen to find a very well looked after nicely speced piece, which I have so thank you so much ror so much coverage of the classic Porsche models, never thought I would find any "older" car as cool as I find them now. Your Testarossa and older 911 content is absolutely gold by the way! Totally unique 🙏 always had a huge appreciation for Testarossa's and now I finally get an idea of what it is like to own/drive one 🙏 good stuff as always, keep it up!
Being an old bugger , my first three cars were all alfas - two alfa suds and an Alfetta GTV - so I absolutely love the SZ and that is a beautiful example and I wish you luck in the bidding and hope you get it . I think they did an RZ which was a convertible so get hold of one of those as well if you win it :) Good luck
I saw one once in a bay at a local car stereo installation firm, I nearly wet myself and drove around the block parked up, and went and had a look, this was decades ago when it was first released, never seen another on the road since.👍👍👍
Epic piece to add to the collection.. these will fetch mega money in twenty odd years ;-) Art and rare Italian cars always go up!! This will definitely scratch your obscure off the beaten track itch.. now all you need is a Lancia 8.32
Zagato SZ, what a car, loving the content the last few years, just so much to watch than new super cars, still would like you to buy a 190E 2.3-16V Cosworth, and renovate if required, manual of course.
This would be the best car in your fleet ! It's a stunning car . I have owned two alfas and had issues but always put the biggest smile on my face and loved them to bits.... Top choice 👌👏
A very fine choice. I also admired these from new and in later years often passed one just off Park Lane in London. Fingers crossed for TGE come the auction. Some excellent cars on the channel of late. Proper vehicles from a great era of motoring. Thank you.
WOW LOVED IT WHEN IT CAME OUT.Only Saw IT once OR twice in real LIFE.Played the heck out of IT on NEED FOR SPEED end 90s on PS1.Great taste man👌🏽👍🏼❤️LOVE YOUR WHOLE GARAGE👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👊🏽
Love the Zagato. It’s one of those cars that splits opinions. Is it ugly,is it beautiful? It’s a Beautiful Ugly car in my opinion. If you can sneak the Grey E Type out and get it to me,I’ll look after you with a big drink
I absolutely love these! Awesome to see one on the channel. Fingers crossed you get it 🤞👌 I love this kind of video too. Loads of info about the car. Top video 👍
Got distracted by the 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider on their site, what a dream. Get an Alfa though, they're car royalty and you need to have owned one (maybe you already have?)
The fact you read all the comments and react is top notch Keep up the good work mate Also loved how you praised that 928, please just drive one you'll love it
Money very well spent. Always loved this. Been recently wondering what a current lightweight Cf body pannels would do to the performance of one of these. The fibre glass pannels are seriously chunky. The suspension buttons raise and lower the car, front and back.
I remember one of these in Red driving past my home in central London every night as a kid. Used to stop and stare. Great car. Good luck with the auction! 🤞🏻
You gotta get that Sprint Zagato, ‘il Mostro’. Legend has it that it got the name because when it was unveiled to Alfa Mechnaics/designers, they smiled and laughed, shook their heads and named it ‘il Mostro’. It’s always been one of my favourite cars and I had the chance to buy a mint one in 2010 for £22k, however, head ruled heart and I bought a new daily 5 Series, stupid head, I will never listen to it ever again, the same bloody car sold quite a few later for £70k. 😭, buy now before they become £250k Classic!
@Martin I’ve seen really good low mileage cars for sale for £90k, the market on them goes up and down but I suspect this one will get a lot more than £40k, they are rare and rare Alfa’s are collectible, I think the thing with these is that you either love them or hate them, most people just don’t get them, i personally love em and I think at some point these will go through the roof.
One of my customers swapped his Mercedes 190 Evolution 2 for one of these, think it was £28,000 back in late 90s which one would be worth more now? The Evo 2 was what you would describe as chaos! But totally impracticable for picking his kids up from their prestigious private school.
Classics are the heart and soul of where it all began, real cars, always be the life of any true petrolhead, leave the hairdryer to the nerds, gadget freaks. 😁 🙌🏼
F@@k the views, I’m liking it 😆 that would be a great buy, owned a few Older Alfas, my GT Junior was great, never had too many issues, they are easy to fix and plenty of knowledgable people and specialists, the SZ is on the bucket list but I can’t see these going anywhere but up and up 👍
I e never known what to make of these How can I put it , challenging styling but at least it’s different And it’s got that lovely v6 👍🏻 That 190sl , 🥰🥰
Brilliant car I used to go mad for them when I was little hope you get it it sold for 53000 just checked the results hope to see this again on your channel ;)
These are a beautiful car. I've only seen one in person and had me drooling. Definitely a great car to add to the collection. Also agree with your comment regarding current day supercars. There's no soul. Good luck bidding
I first saw this car in the anime "Sailor moon" and gosh i fell in love with it, searched for it and i really hope to at least see it with my own eyes in the future!
I have a 75 Veloce in my own collection of cars, unfortunately not currently on the road (so often the way on old Alfas) these cars have incredible handling like nothing else!
Absolutely beautiful cars, always had a soft spot for an SZ. You'd be in trouble if I had £40k spare because I'd be fiercely bidding against you. Good luck, I'm really hoping you win the auction because I am desperate to see more content on such a beautiful and rare beast.
I remember seeing this in Top Gear magazine or something, never mind the car time forgot it never knew it to forget. I remember it being ludicrously expensive but considered a bit of a weapon.
I’M FINALLY BUYING AN ALFA ROMEO- ZAGATO SZ
Hit www.historics.co.uk for the full listings this Saturday!!
Thought they costs more money.a lot of people dont like them.so i hope you can get IT.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼LOVED the yellow ones also 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I loved these growing up, so ahead of the time! Is that the new Bond seamaster you're wearing?
Nothing looks like this car. So 80s - early 90s. The 75 is good handling car so this must be awesome. One of my favorites since my youth as well!
Not for me but still a lovely car, all the best Tom
Your not a true petrol head until you’ve had a Alfa, I love the fact your so into classics and things I have never seen before! It’s epic
I love the route your going with your channel Tom. Loving the classic car content, so much more interesting than the soulless modern cars.
"who gives a flying pizza about the panel gaps, sit down and have a drink" - Zagato
Finally a proper car for petrolhead. Looks amazing 🤩
Ferrari 550 is my favourite modern(ish) ferrari. Wanted one so much as a kid
With it being based on the 75 I’d imagine it’ll have a transaxle? It’ll be how it manages its 50:50 weight distribution, the 75 was renowned for its handling and balance. Zagato + NTTD Seamaster = Class
What an amazing choice! Absolutely love it!

Making me want to listen to Stevie Wonder after seeing. No copyright © strikes?
Yeh it’s got a strike haha. I don’t care
Patiently waiting for you to add a 928 and a 964 to the garage. Good luck with the bids, it’ll be a great addition to the garage!
Nice choice! I have a 87 Milano(75) 2.5. Fun cars to drive!
My dad had a 75 when I was a kid in the early 90’s so I grew up an Alfa fankid
I had 1 of these, it was my favourite car in my toy car collection but I don’t think I’ve ever seen 1 in the wild
Me and my brother always say to each other how much we love them when it comes across.
I’ve got a black Alfa 75 V6 which this was based on. Also a few others. Lets stick them both in a vid
OMG an SZ absolutely love them since they launched hope you get it
Never seen this car you’re passion is immense, definitely a beauty and on the wish list!
Please buy it
Alfa Romeo has always been the brand for me
Saw one of these in the flesh last year and last my mind
Sick car my dad had a 75 3.0 back in the days
Finally, it's the first car that everyone have in his heads, definitely. A very normal choice :)
The suspension adjustment doesn't stiffen and soften it, it raises and lowers the ride height.
Good luck Tom, I hope you get it!
The wheels on this car are absolute cash. Always been a firm favourite. People used to run them on their R53 Minis and caused carnage
That V6 engine is very reliable and it just needs care, check the oil regularly and it should cross Europe without missing a beat. Check Davide Cironi's channel on that car, he drives it really hard.
My neighbour had one of these in the late 90s, took me for a spin in it a few times. What a car!
You get that, it’s a big win, caaaaaash 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
actually never seen or heard nothing about this car, but quite interesting to discover new things!
Love these kind of contents✨
This is a dream car! Crisps and Conny deserve an icon
Damn, i hope you get to buy this car. One of my absolute dreamcars of all times. Would love to see you making great content with this beauty ! A Iconic design for all time. Crossing everything that this will be yours !!!
Love it, they do a slightly larger version of the standard wheels that look amazing but take it away from standard, buy it.
Just an amazing car! Never seen one in person but just look at it 😱😍😍😍😍
@TGE TV actually got a 987 Cayman S as a result of watching your classic car endeavours and I must say I absolutely love it!! The 190 Mercedes is also a favourite of mine. I like it more than the 330SL.
I drove the Alfa SZ many many years ago.
Buy it.
Love alfasuds. My first job was in an Alfa main dealer in the 80s. Saw quite a few.
I saw one once in a bay at a local car stereo installation firm, I nearly wet myself and drove around the block parked up, and went and had a look, this was decades ago when it was first released, never seen another on the road since.👍👍👍
The SZ is amazing, one of my dream cars! For now I'm fine with only my Busso engine
One of my first Matchbox cars. So cool. And there's currently one for sale in Australia...
Lovely car lad I remember them when I was a young lad as well this and the bmw with the doors that slide down. Hope you get it
Fantastic car, awesome, probably be best money you could spend. My dream classic car. Good luck hope you get it.
Thank you.
Love the SZ Tom and is a Alfa that is often forgotten. Mega mega cool and I hope you win it as I'd love to see it in your garage and on the channel 😎🤞
so many cars pulling at my heart strings . BigCheers !!! love that very dark green paint with the cream .
i want that white RUF #dreamcars
i was 18 when the Zagato arrived . basically my head exploded when i saw it . late 80's for the WIN .
I had a 1:18 scale of the Alfa, love that car. Hope you win the auction 🤞
WOW LOVED IT WHEN IT CAME OUT.Only Saw IT once OR twice in real LIFE.Played the heck out of IT on NEED FOR SPEED end 90s on PS1.Great taste man👌🏽👍🏼❤️LOVE YOUR WHOLE GARAGE👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👊🏽
Tom do it Lad this is one of the most iconic Italian cars of all time you need one in the garage
i like it - not everyday you see one
All I can say is….. get it bought !!! Good luck it’s a touch of class ☘️
This and The Montreal are fantastic. I was lucky enough to have a 1969 Spider with the boat tail which was also very special. The SZ is just so cool,
Would love to see an E39 M5 addition
Buy a 2 door sierra Cosworth, Channel needs this
Like what you are doing on your channel. Rare Alfa would make a fascinating addition to the TGE stable. Keep being unpredictable!
There used to be one in Bristol. Great looking thing.
Just love all the classic content. Keep it going Tom 👍🏻
Love the Zagato. It’s one of those cars that splits opinions. Is it ugly,is it beautiful? It’s a Beautiful Ugly car in my opinion. If you can sneak the Grey E Type out and get it to me,I’ll look after you with a big drink
Ok according to sir j clarkson you are a true petrolhead when you own an alfa and you are sir tge from now on. Congratz.
Real nice car , great vid. , hope you can buy it , take care buddy !👍🏻
Love the 928 as well, great colour combination
Was at a launch night for these as a child. Love them
Niccccce. Love these purely for just how mad they look.
Love all the classic content recently
I absolutely love these! Awesome to see one on the channel. Fingers crossed you get it 🤞👌 I love this kind of video too. Loads of info about the car. Top video 👍
Me and my mate used to take out his brothers Alfa 155 Q4 turbo and then eventually swapped for a 106 gti if only we knew what we had back then!
Got distracted by the 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider on their site, what a dream. Get an Alfa though, they're car royalty and you need to have owned one (maybe you already have?)
theres a black CZ around the queens park/madia vale area in london. looks sick IRL
Mate that's a choice and a half Love it!!!!!! Where's the 928 s4? Your killing me 😀
The fact you read all the comments and react is top notch Keep up the good work mate Also loved how you praised that 928, please just drive one you'll love it
Good luck Tom fingers crossed you win the auction. Stunning car 🚗
Money very well spent. Always loved this.

Definitely not junk, part of the 90s wedge club, can't beat a wedge, VW Corrado's (VW's coolest car), Alpha GTV, Lotus Elan..
One of my customers swapped his Mercedes 190 Evolution 2 for one of these, think it was £28,000 back in late 90s which one would be worth more now?
The Evo 2 was what you would describe as chaos! But totally impracticable for picking his kids up from their prestigious private school.
What’s a 1992 Car doing on a N plate which is 95/96? Shouldn’t it be on a J/K??
Loving where the channel is going LAD. Top notch 👌🏻
Classics are the heart and soul of where it all began, real cars, always be the life of any true petrolhead, leave the hairdryer to the nerds, gadget freaks. 😁 🙌🏼

Didn’t see this coming. What a car though
That 190 SL is gorgeous!
That weyglobal add is the best thing you’ve ever uploaded 💼 💼💼💼💼💼
Love it! Has to be one of the best and well thought out collections on UA-cam. Well done!
I e never known what to make of these
How can I put it , challenging styling but at least it’s different
And it’s got that lovely v6 👍🏻
That 190sl , 🥰🥰
I’m loving all the modern classic content at the moment. Good luck in the auction, I really want to see this on the channel.
Brilliant car I used to go mad for them when I was little hope you get it it sold for 53000 just checked the results hope to see this again on your channel ;)
Alfa Romeo’s are awesome. Yes they have issues but driving them is pure fun. Love the look of this one
These are a beautiful car. I've only seen one in person and had me drooling. Definitely a great car to add to the collection. Also agree with your comment regarding current day supercars. There's no soul. Good luck bidding

Love it. So niche. Had a toy one in exactly that spec
Best buy on the channel🤭😍😍😍😍
My father used to have this car, it was big fun!
I remember seeing this in Top Gear magazine or something, never mind the car time forgot it never knew it to forget. I remember it being ludicrously expensive but considered a bit of a weapon.
I love the SZ but that Countach 'flat pack' would be pretty cool
It looks so odd, yet it's still so beautiful. Your taste in cars remains very high
Wow 🤩 Super cool car well done lad👏
