The 1800 Alfetta should be on there with the DeDion back end, transaxle and inboard rear brakes. The 1750 GTV and Berlina. I didn't see the Alfasud in there anywhere, Forget the 8C and the modern stuff no one with Alfa in their veins is interested in that. Also please learn how to Pronounce the GTAm.
In the late 70’s I worked at an Alfa Romeo /Fiat dealership in the Bay Area. A customer once brought in a ‘73 Alfa along the lines of their space age concept cars. It was white with red leather interior. It had a noticeable pointed front nose and the front fenders were also pointed , the back window was taylored to the slope of the back roof that tapered to a narrow roof line to the rear trunk. With fenders rounded and sleek. I was fortunate enough to have the job of driving it around. . He was selling it for 3500.00 to one of the mechanics in the shop. I really wish I had made a stronger effort to purchase the car, apparently only 1500 were made. The gentleman who owned it would drive through the Nevada desert to Las Vegas in the first two or three years he owned it so he could drive it at top speed. Claims it went over 120 miles an hour very easily. My dream car. Maybe someday
How can you not include Alfasud……. Arguably the most revolutionary car Alfa have ever made. 147 and 156 GTA or 916 GTV are also finally getting the recognition they deserve.
I’d have swapped the 164 for the 156 - specifically the 156 GTA. How the 3rd best selling Alfa of all time can be missed is beyond me. It’s aged much better than the 164.
The thing about Alfa's, is you could put an argument for almost any car in there. Even the most mundane in the lineup, always had "something" to lift them from the ordinarty, if not the "better". Even my 33 Green cloverleay had a fab 1500cc twin carb boxer engine that loved to be revved. My 3l 75 Veloce was just the motorway killer. Week after I bought it, was on m25. Wondered if there were police about as everyone was going so slowly. Then I realised that in top gear, the engine seemed to be barely ticking over and we were doing over 100mph! The Alfetta GTV2000 I had for a vehicle without any mod cons like power steering, was a beautiful thing to steer round a bend, steeering wheel and throttle working in symphony together to give the driver all the feedback needed. Eben my Alfasud Sprint was a joy to get in and set off somewhere on an "interesting" b road. Of course, they all broke down, expired, rotted or found unusual ways to try and kill me. But thats what having a "relationship" with a car is all about.
I have a 2011 Giulietta Veloce in Maranello red - my 3rd Alfa, after a 145 and a 156 - I love the looks. Check out Roadster Life - Matteo who runs the channel was heavily involved in the design of the lovely interior!
I've been driving an Alfa Romeo 147 for 3 years and I still enjoy it every minute! Especially because of the beautiful color Azzurro Nuvola Viva la Alfa Romeo🍀🇮🇹

I'm happy to say I have four of the cars on this list !! 1964 Giulia Sprint GT 1991 164 S 1991 Spider Veloce 2017 Giulia Quadrifoglio FORZA ALFA BABY !!!! THE KING IS BACK !!!!
i think the 156 and 159 are missing, especially the sportwagon versions, since they showed us in the late 90s and early 2000s, that wagons don't have to be boring and can also be styled and handle like a sportscar.
Amen, i'm a proud 156 owner of 11 years and keen to debunk the unreliability stuff and guff, my experience in a busy mot centre sees faults in all types depending on luck or owner care, nature or nurture .... It's almost at the future classic status surely and will continue to get better looking over time..
I had a 156 sport wagon with selespeed , it was about 15 to 20 years ago here in Singapore and it was the first model with buttons to switch gear. I really loved that car, sleek, beautiful, fast and the selespeed made it even better, although it caused some trouble toward the end. On top of that my beautiful Alfa every Sunday was carrying all my Radio Control planes in the back, what a dream and how sad to see Alfa Romeo a shadow of it former self.
Need the 155 in there as well, with it owning DTM and BTCC back in the day. My Q4 was certainly a car I regret selling, it was an amazing car for it's time.
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider and Sprint Veloces were my favorites, back in the '60s. A friend in our sports-car club raced a Sprint Veloce the season before I got into the game with my British roadster. Pretty little cars!
159 is merely looks, way too heavy, not half as nice a driver as the 156 was. Alfa Romeo is not just about looks. At least. it should not be. The new Giulia does have the right DNA again.

Alfa romeo needs to make a Tipo 33 successor with a similar small displacement V8 Doesn't have to be as exclusive, just has to look and sound incredible. Bring it back alfa.
The most practical Alfa. I suggest the 75. With the 2.0L engine. The front/rear balance is almost perfect and fuel consumption most of us can live with. Looks great in white with black trim. Window controls in the roof I can live with.
The Giulietta is my favourite, simply because I can afford one and can afford to use it. I know "real" Alfa fans will deride it, but I love it. Gives me pleasure every time I look at it :-)
I had a 1969 1750 ALFA spider that I bought new and kept for over 40 years. I also had a 67 ALFA GTV that was my SCCA race car for a couple of years. Later I bought a 2015 ALFA 4C Launch Edition which I bought new. If I had the garage space I would still have that spider in addition to the 4C. I loved that old spider but love the 4C even more. With a few minor mods that 4C is an amazing car but very raw. The old spider was a pretty practical car with decent luggage space.. It was my daily driver for a few years but after adding a beater car for daily use I kept the spider pristine. When I sold it to a collector it was flawless and better than new.
Yhe most notable missing car was the 116 GTV and GTV6, which had notable competition success and was even used by James Bond! The 116GTV was the last car along with its sibling the 75 to have the classic front engine, rear transaxle that gave the car poise and handling that was developed for the SZ.
My favorites has to be the Montreal, the Guilietta (Gen 2?) of the late 70s early 80s, the 75/90 & 164. The 80s spider & GTV6 was nice, as well as the Alfasud sprint veloce. The worse has to be the Arna ,but surprisingly the Nissan Pulsar Milano & Le Prix were nice. Those who don't know about the Arna, basically it was an Italian built Pulsar/Sunny with an Alfa Romeo flat4 for an engine and it was supposed to replace the Alfasud, eventually the 33 replaced the Alfasud.
Hi, I agree with Jason regarding the Alfa 33 with that rasp from the engine "marvellous" as a driver and an "alfaholic" I have been and still remain for many years. The 2ltr Alfa Romeo series 4 was another beautiful example and the later Alfa 159 Sportswagon for which I am a proud owner. I still remember my mother’s “duetto”, the bright red colour, the sound of the carburetors at high speed, and…the disconfort of the back seat where i almost always had to travel 😂!
Beautifully done video. I would perhaps omit the 164 and add the 156 instead. I would also omit the modern 8C Competezione for being a re-bodied Maserati and add either the 75 or the Alfetta GTV6 in its place.

Touring cars obviously are not part of Alfa sporting history /sarc
1980s Alfasud Sprint and GTV6 were works of art. The aggressive front of the 159 and Brera also rate a mention.
First rule of Alfa Club - you do not talk about Alfasud.
Gtv6 should def be in here
Every Alfa is a piece of art!
True
Stelvio isn't. Who oh why would Alfa put their name to that horrific piece of crap.
Pretty much - although the Alfa 6, 155 (first edition - the wide body version was much better), 90, and ARNA weren’t exactly oil paintings.
