I live rural and you just saved me a nightmare, trying to find an engineer, in the late hours of Saturday night, pound coin deep in the little drain between the condenser and the water pump drain tank. Well done, your a hero.
thank you so much for this video for people who have a sound from the pump !!! i sprayed it full with wd40 and yes the sound WAS GONE .. thing was making like 6 months of crazy loud sounds finaly its gone
Great, but is it really ok to pressure wash the electrical items? And aren't the fins on the condenser a bit delicate for pressure washing? Thank you for the brilliant instructions.
Thanks Gavin, and no it is not ok to pressure wash electrical items. This is a none runner I purchased to repair which as you can see has not been maintained, hence why it broke down in the first instance. I do stipulate that the machine has dried out though. This particular Condenser unit does not have Fins which are delicate as you have stated but if so you just need to know your limits with tools. Regards 😊.
Hi Amy, these Condenser units can be quite a Labyrinth and difficult to access especially if they have been neglected. have look at this video which may help you to find the source of your problem; ua-cam.com/video/CekGxr7VQXw/v-deo.htmlsi=Mg4A1JCafHFkXNtQ
High Art83, at the front of the Condenser the white plastic section, if you can bend the bottom lip up as this usually catches on the Condenser housing at the back inside. Use a pair of Pliers to bend the entire width of the bottom section up slightly, not too much otherwise the unit will not drain correctly.

Happy to help William,
glad you managed to resolve, however a £1 coin so far down is serious lack of maintenance. But well done.

Id like to know how to clean the fan part, without hosing it all down
Hi Snowflake,
try some Fairy Liquid in a bowl with a stiff brush.
@green-crocs-fixes1520 thank you, I can't seem to reach the fan part though, am I supposed to unscrew the whole front bit ? Thanks
@@orangesnowflake3769 if you’re referring to the Impeller on the Pump, I think the fan cover just unclips.
