- Take a virtual passenger ride in a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS fitted with the Manthey Kit, as it goes on a blast around the Nordschleife at the Nürburgring.
Designed to enhance performance on the track, the all-new race kit takes the already remarkable Cayman GT4 RS to new heights. With Porsche Brand Ambassador and former racecar driver, Jörg Bergmeister, at the wheel, the kit helped deliver a time of 7:03.121 on a lap of the Nordschleife, a six-second advantage over the Cayman GT4 RS.
The result of a close collaboration between Porsche Motorsport engineers and motorsport specialists Manthey-Racing, the kit is a track day game-changer.

@@AlbinAliuRacingnah the AMG ONE is not that much faster than a GT2 RS MR for the HP and techno difference. A 992 GT2RS MR will match the amg one or the Mission X

This was not meant to break the records of superior cars like the 991.2 GT2RS, or the new 993 GT3RS. It is however setting the record for a car that would qualify for GT4. Maybe you should learn your Porsche variants better?

Notice a few apex were more of a curve than a chicane, letting off the throttle and then throttle will be fine, rather than throttle, brake, throttle. More perfect practice for an entire perfect run.
There are spots where you want a touch of brake to load the front up more. Though the GT4 does like smooth lines.

Awesome run and only (up to) $150,000 USD over stick price in the USA market. You are effectively competing with status of the Ferrari 812 Superfast, McLaren 765LT, Ferrari F8, Lambo Huracan, Aston DB12, etc. due to those excessive dealer markups. Thank you Porsche USA management for continuing to do nothing.
We don't have Markups in europe, they are all MSRP. They are illegal here, in america dealers are just allowed to do what they want.
Order car in Europe, do track days at the Nurburgring ring and then sell it

They rented the track. All factory drives by manufacturers where they set an official lap time are rented out so they can achieve the best possible time.
@@redrider1258 thanks, but I’ve read that factories often add the times through unoccupied corners to project a good time. I just get a little nervous in this day of games having the power to be virtually indistinguishable from reality. I think shooter games are a farce because my FBI agent uncle told me that in a real firefight: “If you can reach out and touch him, you can probably hit him.”
He missed the very first corner by A LOT.
Car had understeering due to unexpected dampness of the tarmac and rubber. Fact: The car itself did not expect this either.
As good as the GT4RSMR is (assuming I couldn't get an allocation for a GT3RS), i'd rather buy a GT3MR as my track day car as it has a better front end, rear wheel steering and more downforce

It's a shame Porsche GT cars are unavailable for enthusiasts in the UK unless you A) swallow a disgraceful mark up on the 2nd hand market from people flipping them or B) bought enough taycans/cayennes/fleet vehicles to get an allocation. Porsche GB is a Joke.
With how much Manthey actually changes, picking up 6 seconds over a7 minute lap is underwhelming. Not saying this isn't a great car or driver... Would just expect to see more of a gap
