048 - Old Faithful Covers version of "You're Only Lonely" by J. D. Souther. The song is a multi-track cover on which I played and sang all of the instrumental and vocal parts I tried to sound as close to the original recording as possible.
This is a great song by a talented singer/songwriter. He wrote or co-wrote many hits for the likes of Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, the Eagles ("Heartache Tonight", "Best of my Love", "New Kid in Town"), Don Henley ("The Heart of the Matter"), and others. He and friend James Taylor had a hit with "Her Town Too".
No drum machines, harmony generators, plugins, quantization, MIDI files, sampled music, borrowed / bought / stolen instrumental or vocal tracks were used in the recording. I played or sang every note in this cover.
