One of my grandfathers had a refrigerator in his farm office out in the barn. He kept extra milk and eggs in it. And then in his wellhouse, he had a deep freezer full of his meat products. My other grandmother had a underground cellar that she kept all her canned goods in and an upright deep freezer in her mud-room/back porch. Later after grandpa passed away, she had an extra room built on the back of the house that became her pantry, so that she didn't have to go out in all weathers to fetch something from the cellar. She had shelves built in her pantry for extra appliances and her canned goods. Both of them also had refrigerators in their kitchen to keep foods in that were leftovers from meals and foods that were going to be used that week. If one of my grandmothers ran out of something, they would send us kids out to the other appliances to get more.

Thank you so much for all of this content you're creating Lisa! Such a wholesome little peek into your day to day life and projects! Feels like a bowl of hot home made soup after a long, rainy day. I know family vlogging isn't easy but you're doing it right! I like that it's only snip bits with the kids and the main focus is still on the "adult" content (DIY projects, organizing, cooking etc). Keep up the good work!

I'm definitely one that likes to be organized but no one in our family is either! 😂 One helpful pantry and fridge storage hack I've found helpful to keep organization is to use lazy susans. I store our jams, small jars and condiments on one in the fridge. I store canned goods and jars on two in the pantry. Hope that's helpful! It looks great!
    Thanks for the Kiwico link!

I have bought the KIWI co for years for my grandchildren - I just had to change my granddaughters now that she is 15 to the oldest one and my twin 12 year old grandsons to a different kind of kit since their interest has changed. Their whole family just built their pinball kit and they all loved doing it as a family and now playing it. The boys were so excited to call me on Saturday and show me their turtle robot they built that day. They have also done the planetarium and loved it.

Hi! I’m a longtime fan, but first time commenter. As somewhat of a minimalist, I’m curious what you do with all the “goodies” created from the Kiwi boxes? All I could think about what how my kids would want to keep ALL the treasure they make 😂

My 90 y/o mom had 6 of us at home. She kept a small chocolate stash for mom treats. 2 of us knew where and would judiciously share 1 piece on occasion because we didn’t want her to know and then move it. Actually that’s a bit of self discipline 🤓Such fun dejavue. Elizabeth

A thought for your pantry...if the door into the pantry swings into the kitchen you might have more storage space. I'm considering that in my home. Simply reversing the way the door swings can create more storage in some closets and pantries. Best wishes

    Your goats are so cute💖!!!
Just a tip, I used to have a dairy cow and I would always throw down the hay like that, and she was always standing under neath of it. One time the hay got in her eye and she got an eye infection. We finally got it to go away, but it happened again, and the second time she got an abscess under her eye. It was not a fun experience at all. As I was watching this I just felt like I should share that because it was not a fun experience at all. I ended up bringing the hay down from up in the barn to put it in her stall. My sister has a horse and she has had the same problems.
Anyways, I love your day in the life videos! They are always so encouraging! And I always learn a lot, thanks!!
