What you're seeing with the "reduced pressure" is the slick coated surface making moving the lighter easier over that section. This stuff works.
As far as application goes as long as you get even coverage the pattern doesnt seem to matter. CarPro most likely cites crosshatch at the application pattern to ensure new users are careful to cover the entirety of the area being coated.
Ive been introduced with Carpro not too long ago when i was trying to find a good brand in general for car detailing as there are so many out there its confusing as it is. So far i am very happy with Capro products and have lived up to my realistic expectations. When you think of Ceramic coating, one should think only a few things and that is durability, Gloss/ Clarity, ease of use, price and most importantly back end support especially for diy'ers. Call the store ur buying it from and ask all your concerns and what not. As for Thanks to @Sky's the Limit Car Care that process of choosing the right product became easier. The most benefit i take from ceramic coating is ease of car maintenance by far. Now 10 years since this last video and i have yet to see Carpro not in a Top 3 brands for car detailing. Congrats!
Nice gloss and probably protection too but i'm not convinced by the scratch test.
This video shows a different technique of application than what is said by carpro. I says apply in str8 lines not swirl motions.
In the scratch test witht he lighter it looks like u were putting more pressure on the untreated side then when u came across to the treated side u would reduce the pressure.
Finally, the scotch bright test was not a huge difference. Very minor n subtle difference.
In conclusion, I did see a darker and more visible gloss. Im sure it is giving some type of protection but not to the level that justifies the cost of this product.

Im sure it takes longer of it to harden thats why the scratch test didn't really make a big difference
É preciso deixar bem claro para os riscos deixados na pintura dos dois lados. O lado que não tem o CQuartz riscou o verniz, sendo necessário um trabalho maior para retirar o defeito caso seja possível. Já o lado do CQuartz riscou, mas apenas a película do produto deixando o verniz intacto e de reparação muito fácil. Basta polir até mesmo sem máquina para sanar o defeito. Veja em teste de atrito do CQuartz.

Where I can see an official raport regarding the scratch resistance of the treated clearcoat? I mean official=made by some testing labs...

Uma pergunta. para fazer o teste do CQUARTZ CQUK não seria necessário aguardar um tempo maior para a cura e resistência do produto? Fiz testes severos com produto aqui no Brasil, até mesmo o teste de fogo que está no UA-cam, onde coloquei fogo no meu carro mas foi depois de 15 dias e também os testes de atrito.

I wasn't impressed by the scratch test. Both sides looked equally messed up, the only difference is the way the lighting was hitting the two sides. I've heard good things about CQuartz but this video would not sell me.
Mate there was no cure time given on this video, Have you ever tried painting and then straight away tried to touch it? Of course the paint is going to mark because it hasn't had the time to dry properly, it's the Same with any Ceramic coating you need at least 24 hours to Cure. As the hours pass the harder the coating will get.
How many cars can I protect with a kit? Would be enough one kit to protect a Land Cruiser or Range Rover?
Gepettoxxx land cruiser you will need 50ml bottle, pretty big car, smaller ones 30ml will be enough.

Bulls*t. I paid for the top CarPro professional, whatever it is called, and I still get scratches from a simple leaf branch. Snake oil.
There was no time for curing, This normally takes 24 hours, I'm sure it say's on the instruction leaflet it take's 24 hours for curing.
It's like most coatings you need to let it cure, I'm sure if you had let it cure over night those test would of been different. Make another video and I bet the scratch test would be a different outcome.
