They have ones now you can get that run on little power packs.
What helps too for staying warm is USB rechargeable hand warmers. A couple of those in your bed can keep you pretty toasty! 😍 Sacramento, California USA 🇺🇸

I do the whole get it warm, then turn it off. Then it stays warm for a couple hours. If I get cold again, I turn it on for about 15-20 mins. It uses about 20 or 30 watts each time I turn it on for 15 mins. So, in a cold night, I use 80 to 100 watts for all night long. Most twin size 12 volts use about 40 to 80 watts an hour.
Get a real generator,a gasoline generator.
Old mechanic, gasoline is true power.
Then you can run a real 10 Amp draw on high, portable electric heater.
Or,charge a weak or dead car battery,with a 2/10/50 Amp car battery charger.
Don't count weak watts,like the solar crowd,count 24/7 real power,at least 15 Amps,for a small generator,like a Honda 2,000.
120 Watts = approximate 1 Amp.
100 Watt draw,is a incandescent light bulb.
Not much power
Winter snow weather lasts a lot longer than you think.

I have traveled all over the US my home base is Montana. (X10 years) I can honestly say I’d be happy to not see anymore snow!!!!! I call that snow type stuff dippin dots!! Looks just like it. I had never seen that til I lived in Montana.

So that kind of makes me sad because I can live vicariously through those who do travel. I’m glad that I clicked on your channel and I can’t wait to get to know more about your dog and your life. There’s something about your calm nature, the way you talk, and I love the background music you choose, that slow, jazzy, relaxing music.Quartzite is a wonderful place to pick up gemstones! Beautiful mountains. I only know this from the other van Lifer I follow. She would travel there in the winter as well, and go on these beautiful hikes on these colorful, play looking mountains and join the burning man and skooliepalooza type festivities 😍 Anyways, I’m a new follower. You amaze me seriously. Last night I spent in my car was in the low 30s and it was so hard. It's been years since then when I also started watching your videos. I can't believe since then I just got an 17 y.o SUV. Not the minivan I wanted but it happened to come by way and no car payment. I pretty much completed it this weekend and just working on the water situation and getting a jackery and now just hoping I can get into the lifestyle soon!

Have you ever noticed that snow brings a stillness, a calmness to the world around us. It is as though it is GOD'S way of cleaning, the environment. As the snow thaws, it washes and cleans the very dirt we walk on. Enjoy it, it is a way of protection for you from viruses that can harm you. And it is a way to water the trees and flowers we so much enjoy. Let little Joey have his time in it.

Yep it was a freak storm, I live further up the mountain about hour and half away at 7500 feet. We got 6 inches of snow.

How do you stay warm? I car camped in a wind storm once and I think it got down into the lower 40's. I was freezing! :) Loved this video. What a gorgeous camping spot and the big fat fluffy snowflakes were soooo beautiful.
