Marines do not call the field/work uniform “fatigues.” We called them utilities, either “stateside utilities” or “jungle utilities,” which we could not wear stateside. Delta 1/3 Vietnam 66-67
the photographs, that have survived and avail in some format, digital or printed in books and magazines, is the only way you can get inspiration, and historical accuracy.....you were never there or in the svc in that era. Great collection, work in progress. Done well.
Pretty good kit! You should try making a 1967 impression for the Con Thien area. You see more 1st Pattern flaks there though, but I’m sure you’ll figure it out.
This is one of my favorite style Vietnam War Uniforms, I own this stuff too :) . You can even see many marines up until 1967 wearing OG-107's too, especially on Hill 861, theres a picture that shows that, a young Marine with a rocket launcher, and many other grunts in the background wearing OG-107 sateens and a mix of m1956 and m1961 equipment. One thing I've learned about Vietnam is that the Marines had very inconsistent gear. Awesome kit!
Hey man nice video but man how do you use so much music without being copyright striked I like to see how much your channel has grown. Nice editing by the way!
Thanks man! Before I add a song I check who owns the copyright to the song. Some don’t allow music on UA-cam because of sanctions or something. I just use songs whose copyright is owned by a company that lets their music on UA-cam.
Nothing in your collection is anything like what I was issued in June of 1965. Most everything issued to me had a Marine Corp. stamped on it. Served with 1/9 1966 Semper Fi
Replace the fake airsoft rifle with a real M1a from Springfield Armory. It will have a beautiful stock on it. You can then replace that (but keep it) new stock with an old true to the era M14 stock from "freds stocks" or Sarco. Might take a little adjustment but would be a really cool set up and project. But the airsoft has got to go. just sayin'. Shooting and stroking the M1a feels like a million bucks! Also, sarco has a lot of odds and ends vintage stuff like you are into.
Hi great video! I'm interested in starting a Vietnam War Impression/Uniform and kit. I'm not 100% sure what i want to go with regarding branch and division as well as time period. Maybe Mid-Late war Army, but still not sure. Anyways, could you tell me what gear i should go with to start off with and what to get first. For example should i get webgear first, fatigues, headgear or footwear or personal items. I'll research what division and branch i want to do and come back to you if you answer me. Thank you! I love your videos.
Thanks man! I would definitely start with boots and a uniform, once you’ve found the unit and year you want to research get webbing. Personal items probably should come last.

Nice kit, once those utilities get faded and dirty will look even better

what state do you live in bro?
Quick question was it common for marines to only have a jungle first aid and not the m56 mod ???

I don't think he can IM pretty sure he's still a kid
@@user-fs7rd7lg6h He will be 18 someday. Meanwhile, he can buy the old M14 stock and work on it.
They are so nice to shoot. I have an M1-A, with the Bayonet lug and an old GI stock with the cutout with the fake selector switch.🪖
Ayy you got a M-14
Yessir
You need a Springfield M1A if you want to be truly complete.
And add the Bayonet lug flashhider.
