Hey bud. It's a really easy spot to fish. Easy to launch in all tides and heaps of parking. If you do paddle out to the buoy keep an eye out for Ferry's and boats, they come past pretty close. You can also fish along the poles if it's too choppy out at the buoy.
Hey bud. All depends on what kind of fishing you doing and where. Me personally, I like to be equipped for my favorite kinds of fishing....softbaiting, bait, stick baits, trolling etc. I have a custom made tackle box I fit to the back of my kayak with all my gear. Makes it easy to change tackle when I'm out on the water and things change.
Hi Jianyong. Nope....well, actually yes I did but not on this session, I did however lose it on another fishing expedition....hurt me bad, i loved that rod.
If you see me in the water, paddle over, I'd be happy to let you take it for a spin! Check out my kayak review here ua-cam.com/video/0FRbsi0I6eI/v-deo.html.
Wow that is super awesome those are some giants. I have launched from there twice before and I go to the yellow buoy behind the poles. I caught a 38cm there which is my biggest from that spot. I will try your red buoy next time. Thanks for the awesome video.
Glad you enjoyed it bud. With the right wind and current, you can drift between the yellow and red buoy along the channel. Keep an eye out for Ferry's and large boats. They come past pretty close.

Hi Leslie. Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed the vid.
Do you need to radio coast guard to go out there on a kayak?
Nah, not required. You can though if you have registered a call sign for your yak and if you planning to head out far or alone.
@@MadSaffer what kind of tackle do you recommend for kayak fishing?

Where do you launch from
Hi John. We launch at Okahu Bay, The Landing. Free parking and easy to launch off the Jetty.
Damn dude, this all stones throw from the beach! Well done chaps 👍
Crazy right! And we caught two, both over 70cm within a couple of minutes same spot!
