Ikr. When I started getting into game dev with my friend he always wanted to get directly into 3d stuff and couldnt understand why i wanted to do things like platformers more. To me the atmosphere and feeling of a pixel game will always be superior to all other forms
Eastward is the kind of game you feel sad when it's over, cause it could last forever. A masterpiece, highly recommended. From character development to soundrack, everything about it is so cool and engaging.

Let's Build a Zoo has so much depth if you read the text of everything or get into fine management. I made an evil zoo on my Twitch stream and we couldn't believe how many pop culture references the game has. 10/10 Great management sim for both beginners and experts depending on how you like to play. Traveler's Rest was the very first game I streamed. I still love it--even after the original guy developing it passed it along to another team. They stayed true to its vision. The game is still developing. Updates on it are slower. I cannot wait for them to release the full version. It's a work of love. As a brewer, I appreciate the detail for the recipes you can craft in your tavern.
Potion permit is also a pixel-art game (kinda like stardew valley) in which you are a chemist in a rural town. Your goal is to heal villagers and gain their trust. I recommand it (you have a little cute dog in the game so it's another good point for it)
9:47 Wow, Skul's flame dragon summon got a massive upgrade since then and looks way cooler as it takes up almost the whole screen and for a longer time.
@@pres3498 Yeah! It's pretty good. I have the love for games the way a squirrel loves nuts. I'm gonna find some, nibble on em to see if they're any good, put an away for later. In short, I put a good amount of play time in for what I could squeeze in in a couple weeks before moving on to find my next digital nutty treasure but when I'm ready I will definitely be coming back to fully finish it. Things I love about the game 1. How bout them graphics? 'Nuff said. 2. I was impressed but the combat, everything from the enemies, the fluidity of your own actions, the weapons, controls. It's one of those experiences that's better had than heard of. You'll be saving clips. 3. The story is WOAH. I'm not going to spoil anything dude, I would love another game from these developers. 4. The background ambience, scenery and music score, the traverse system. . you may find yourself saying "Forget quick travel!" As why would you want to blank out one moment of exploring through this game by foot, which leads us back to the graphics. I feel the game is a little ahead of its time, like there may be a remaster with more costumes and gear, (oh yeah, forgot to mention the cosmetics and weapon stats earlier but oops). I get the feeling that there is just a little something missing, like even the developers initially dreamt of something juuuussst a little more, and then the game itself wanted to become that dream when it grew up, but I can't put my finger on it, all in all I would give this game a good 9.5. A "must have" recommendation

@@pres3498 I could scrounge up a list for ya as I have way too many games for my Switch. First start with Akane, if you haven't gotten that one already, good little arcade hack and slash shoot em up but more like asteroids in the arcadey style gameplay and its a good scratch for the pixel itch in a small waiting period, plus you might pick it up just to try and get better at it and really put some hours of frustration and triumph in. And then Trove, I'm sure you've already tried it, but its like World of Warcraft meets Minecraft? Only more pixely! And free to play. I was addicted for a while and im afraid to pick it back up again. Personally I'm really wishing I didn't ground myself from spending on games for 6 months this year because I really want to get Dead Cells, they JUST released a new DLC that is a big collab with Castlevania. I'm not gonna spoil the seed on why the collab makes that game even more appealing to me, but it was already a contemplating item on the wishlist and now I'm dying because I couldn't stop spoiling myself with games as I spoiled my family with Christmas haha I'm 32 and grounded myself from buying games and I'm throwing a tantrum because of Dead Cells. Akane Trove Dead Cells Obviously TMNT Shredders Revenge, DOOM and DOOM II the originals obligatory, (I'm literally scrolling my library as I type this) OOOH Streets of Rogue is fun! I would call it a must have. Skul, The Hero Slayer is a true gem, OOOOOOOOH YES! THE SURVIVALISTS. I was FLOORED by The Survivalists and snagged it pretty quickly when I discovered it and I played it again just recently, it was even better than the first time I gave it a go. It really. . .go get The Survivalists its the cherry to the top of my pixels collection, then there is the game called There Is No Game, thats worth having for pixels and chuckles, and these aren't pixely but I feel you'll enjoy Toe Jam and Earl Back In The Groove, groovy reboot of a funky classic from the 90s and then Cult of The Lamb. They both scratch an itch the pixels scratch lol at least for me. Now I feel itchy. OKAY SO Akane Trove Dead Cells TMNT DOOMs(oh! Get DOOM 64 as well, it was more of a Doom 3 than Doom 3 was, considering Doom 3 was kind of more like Resident Evil 4. . the Doom that wasn't Doom) Streets of Rogue Skul Survivalists There is no game Toe Jam and Earl And Cult of Lamb. Please excuse my stoner rant and lack of editing so as to give you just the list. Its a lot of back spacing and starting over also doesnt sound fun right now lol I hope the list provides some good titles :p it would be interesting to learn how my taste in games is lol

Как же я люблю Phoenotopi:Awakening, даже оригинальную флеш игру прошёл. Не понимаю как такая отличная метроидвания с множеством дополнительного ненавязчивого контента остается в достаточном андерграунде даже за рубежом.Прекрасный проект,пройденный мной три раза
1. тупое управление 2. отсутствие карты. как результат - высокий порог вхождения чтобы полюбить эту игру. я потратил в игре часов 15, но так и не полюбил, не сыгрался, хотя смотреть прохождения этой игры было вроде как здорово.

С тупым управлением уже сложнее.То,что Гейл перестает бежать после прыжка,даже с зажатой кнопкой спринта минус,но в остальном хз.Платформинг в игре изичный, и когда помирал не было ощущения,что всё из-за управления Как-то мало для высокого порога.Просто однотипные пародии на Hollow knight получают и то больше огласки.А проекты чуть пооригинальнее не выдерживают конкуренции.Ну тип серьезно,где пародии на metroid dread?

Surely if you're going to count Inscryption as a pixel art game, it would have made more sense to use footage and music from the third of it that's actually a 2d sidescroller, instead of a trailer focussed entirely on the standard 3d fp first act.

Не все знают англ на хорошем уровне и играть в игры что бы постоянно испытывать дискомфорт от незнания языка не хочется. По этому при подборе игр я попросил указывать имеются ли в игре те два языка или нет
