Hello Chikako! Good luck with the move! I'm sure you'll meet lots of nice people there and make new friends. It's so nice to see how much you value human connection and also how much you do create those connections, without expecting others to do the work for you. It's like you said: "I should open up first." That was honestly such an important life lesson for me as well. Good luck and even if things get hard, know that with persistence and kindness, you can do it!

Thank you so much for a lovely video! I think a lot of us can relate to the unsure thoughts and inner dialogs - it's not always easy or even apparent where to go. I think your library of videos, so far, is quite wide in topics and I think that's great - i think it's pretty obvious that you are a creative person and doing one type of thing always probably wouldn't be the most rewarding thing for you long-term. But I think you hit it on the head when you connect art, learning, creativity, etc. with other people - for me that is absolutely the most rewarding thing about the art journeys that people are on - the people you meet and even walk with along the way. I had a relatable (but different) experience at one point in my life that was akin to leaving my friends as I moved on to other places - and that's really hard. It's not always easy to find new connections, especially when we get older, it seems. We need more playgrounds for adults!! Kids go to a playground and have a new best friend after a few turns on the see-saw!! Haha! I'm very to have met you, Chika! I hope we can continue to share creative endeavors!

I think showing up on UA-cam is already a part of that; we’re taking our first steps (and congratulations on your video being the 50th!very soon!).
So far, I’ve been focusing on art-related content, but if I limit myself to just acrylics for an example, I might not stay excited about creating content anymore haha😅
Connecting with a business idea feels a bit too broad for me at this stage, but I’m still figuring things out.
I’m excited about my new daily routine and will try to update UA-cam at the same time. It would be great to build a local art community! Let’s see how it goes! 🧐
It might be only two suitcases; but, it's almost like you're bringing all of us too!
Hehe, yes! Since you told me you are interested in this city, I am excited to share what it's like, too💪 So far, I am experiencing strong sunlight and a hot summer hahaha☀️ It's a very different experience coming from a rainy city. Let’s see how this journey goes! ✈️

oh boy winter sure is something huh??? I've been slowly gathering winter gear, layers are definitely your friend! wool is the warmest, but i wear my ski pants for wintery walks- I've found that to be the best most simple way to stay warm and dry 🥰 sometimes i even dont get out of my pyjama pants even😆 just putting that snow pants on top.
enjoy summer for now tho! it won't last too much longer 🥲 hahaha

Hi Chika! Best of luck on your move! I have moved across my country several times in my life, and I find it difficult to make friends too. I really liked what you said about everyone changing over time, because I found that to be true as well. I am so happy to have found your channel, because it does indeed feel like I have an art friend hanging out with me when I watch your videos.
I am also working towards being more authentic and open in my life. We can cheer each other on no matter what stage of life we are in!

Chi-Chan…. Talking to camera without script? It’s almost like a Zoom call!! :D I think you did amazing because it does feel like you’re having a conversation with your subscribers and viewers. You’re right about people changing, and you know that I moved a lot in the last 20 years… I still keep in touch with some of my old friends, but like you said, it’s not really the same anymore. But I believe life is full of chapters, and you need to finish one chapter at a time, and move on to the next…. It’s okay to re-read the previous chapters, like visiting, but never get stuck there… it’s all about knowing how to let go, and opening up to grab new opportunities, experiencing new things in life… exploring new chapters :) So I hope your next chapter is going to be awesome, and that you’re comfortable enough to share your experience with your friends here, a safe space you created. Speaking of safe, be safe when moving, and can’t wait for your next video. Ki o tsukete ne!

Your words resonated with me; revisiting past chapters without dwelling on them feels positive for the long run.
I understand that you sometimes feel the urge to change locations, and I hope to have that feeling eventually by sticking to one place.
Now it’s time to make this home more comfortable! ( I still don’t have tables and chairs😅. I am using carbon box to survive haha) thank you as always supporting my journey! I will see you later!! 👋
@@ogawachikako Ahhhh yes...the days of a new home without or with very little furniture, like foldable camping chair or cheap temporary stools you can get from discount big box stores...and the good ol' carboard boxes as tables/desks... I remember those days very well, and sleeping on hardwood floors on thick sweaters for cushions... It's part of the experience, and will help us to understand what's important, and what we need for our everyday routines. There was even a point where I had to wash my clothes by hand for months... and now, the washing machine and the dryer are my favorite appliances in the house, and I love doing laundry and folding clothes. It's funny how little things that we have and use everyday have so much impact in our lives...and we don't know how much we miss them until we lose them. Moving teaches us to appreciate what's missing :) Have fun putting new furniture together, and can't wait to see your new studio.
it's so hard to meet people as an adult. And then maintain the relationship... Even harder! It's so much easier if you have an in person job or are a student. But you don't wanna just be friends with co-workers either! If I had the extra *cash* I'd take a class in ceramics or jewelry making! Or in Canada there may be like figure drawing meetups / or other sketching meetups!
I totally relate to that! Taking a class and going to places where you can meet people are also big commitments. I am still on a journey to find a good balance between my personal time and social time. Good luck to both of us in finding better and better art communities to belong to💪
Hii! Moving out might seem like a scary process at first, but you'll settle right in. My advice would be to join an art club or community perhaps? somewhere where you'll feel welcomed. And honestly you posting just makes my day so much better, i love your optimistic perspective and it really makes me share the same view as-well. :)

Have you considered starting a Discord server for your UA-cam community? Also, Patreon is a good way to build a community as well. The best part is that both allow you to be supported as an artist and as a UA-cam content creator.
genuinely curious - I can understand patreon because you can offer other like perks / digital stuff. But wouldn't like a membership on youtube be the easiest thing to start? And I'm so out of the loop, I don't understand what discord is besides a giant chat group.
@@HannahMorenDraws I can understand what you mean. It appears to be vague and confusing initially, but as it turns out, Discord has a subscription capability. That allows you to monetize your chat server.

Oh, it could be a future option for me! Until now, I have been very focused on creating content as it takes time for me to learn consistency!😅
