This single play is more exciting than the entire 2019 season has been. I could really just watch highlights like this every Sunday instead of the game and feel more fulfilled.
As a lifelong Redskins fan born in 1990, this was the single greatest moment I've ever witnessed. Just a beautiful play. Never been more hyped for a player than RGIII rookie season
We were on our way too. Up 14-0 halfway through against the Seahawks. But then again, Shanahan should have never let him go back into the game after he started limping on his injured leg. He sacrificed the franchise’s future for one wildcard game, and we lost the most exciting running QB since Vick because of it
As a lifelong Redskins fan, I will always love Rj. He gave our fence a feeling that we’ve never had before ever. Every week we had a chance to win. I’m too young to remember the Super Bowls
You don’t remember hearing Trent Williams when he was mike’d up? He asked RG3 if he was OK and he said “no but don’t tell anyone.“ He refused to leave the game, who’s fault is that?!
lmao I almost cried watching this because those fans especially the women would not let go of him and now he not even on the team.....I'm a giants fan btw
If he never got hurt and had a competent head coach this guy would be regarded as one of the greatest and have won super bowls, mvps, etc... Regardless of what you say about him in present day or his actions.
RGIII SHUT FED EX FIELD DOWN ON THAT PLAY......Super DIE HARD Skins fan for 30+ years and this is up there with my favorite plays EVER (outside of our Super Bowl highlights).
Those damn knees. He had a chance to be something special before those injuries. I do wish him luck with his next team. I am a Giants fan, and hate the skins, but I hate even more seeing players lose their talent due to injuries. It is a nasty game.
That wasn't the biggest problem. It was that the coach sabotaged his career. I remember the coach had 0 vouch for RGIII. It was clear he didn't like him. When he played, the offense was so plain vanilla that no QB would've been successful. Run on 1st, run on 2nd, now its 3rd and 9....Those are low odds conversion rates for anyone.
The radio broadcast where he says "RG3! ELECTRIFYING!!!" never gets old haha this guy has had a bad start to his sophomore year but he will have a bright future for the rest of his career
Still by far, the highlight of watching this team for the last fourteen years. I remember being sixteen years old super excited yelling jumping up and down when this happened, my mom was in the kitchen clapping, man rg3 was a stud in 2012.
Won't forget, when he got into the end zone I was jumping up and down hugging the Fans around me and I look next to me, at my dad, and he is sitting there, motionless in awe, jaw wide open. Hope this can return. #HTTR

I work at FedEx field and I can tell u that ever since rg3 stepped foot on that field the fans have been crazy lol. Glad to c the redskins do their thing. I want them to play my ravens in the Super Bowl one day "Battle of the Beltway"
RG3 really could of been the face of the Redskins today tbh if it really wasn't from the knee hit from Haloti Ngata & the knee injury against the Seahawks . This is coming from a Raiders fan
I remember we were at the game and were yelling “get down get down” and then less than a second later found ourselves yelling “go go go.” God damn it felt so gooooood!!
I remember this play so vividly because it’s when I first started playing fantasy football. My opponent’s QB was RG3 and I just needed him not to score a TD on this drive to win, and then this happened 😂
You should have shown the part of Jared Allen (DE of Minn) coming off the field clearly pissed having to try to chased down RG3. Even the commentators mensioned it. Funny!
Three potential Hall of Famers on that Vikings defense and RG III ran right through them. 1) Jared Allen 2) Kevin Williams 3) Harrison Smith. The Vikings had a very good defense back then and RG III made it look easy.
I miss this RG3. Can we have him back. But the way the media and system have him we may or may not. He's still the right guy for the QuarterBack job just working wit the wrong system.

Its a shame TV networks lower the microphones when fans go nuts. the audio on your home television would suck if they did not lower them, but it would give us a better feel as to how rocking FedEx really was that night
If he wouldn't have been in when his knee was already injured in the 2012 Playoffs against the Seahawks, I believe his career would still be on point. His knee folded real bad in the game. The Redskins had a 14-0 Lead, and mike Shannahan saw him limping. Why didn't he take him out for Kurt Cousin's who alresy proved he could play QB too! RGIII was never the same after that injury, and hasn't been able to stay healthy since his Rookie year in 2012. His career looked so bright. I feel for him. Hopefully he has taken care of his finances from the NFL, because it's about to unfortunately end unless he has a dramatic renaissance elsewhere this upcoming season. I don't think the Browns are going to keep him. We'll hopefully see how this plays out soon. I hope the best for him and his family.
Yea I 100% blame Mike Shannahan for RG3's injury and subsequent under performance. No reason he had to stay in for that play he got hurt on. I just remember both my dad and I screaming at the TV going "Why the hell is he still in there, he's clearly hurt. He can hardly move around!" literally a minute before he had that terrible injury to his knee. It was hard to watch and completely unnecessary. It's a damn shame.
I was at that game on the 45yd line bottom level on that side he ran the TD. I remember everybody was like "Get out of bounds!", but when he turnded that corner, everybody was like "RUN!!" LOL
do you have season tickets? if you do how is the atmosphere there. it must be great. i have season tickets for the giants and those games are a blast no matter what the outcome is. id like to go down to washington for a giants redskins game sometime in the future.
As a Cowboys fan I can sort of empathize with Redskins fans. They had what they thought to be true greatness in the making crumble before their eyes. It's hard to feel too bad, though. I think Kirk Cousins is the real deal. A modern day Theismann.
Honestly, all RG3 had to do was learn how to play smart and not take hits as a QB. That's all he needed to do. If he could've done that, he'd still be starting right now and he'd be a poor man's Russell Wilson at worst. As a Seahawks fan, I think the talent is still there... but his time starting for the Redskins is history. And even with that talent, he's probably going to flounder around with some last place teams that give him a chance to start for a couple seasons (doubtful that any good team will give him a shot - and it'll be tough for him to rebound if he keeps bouncing around teams like the Jets or Browns), before he turns into a career backup or flames out.
+hawks12thman Thing RG3 needs the most is to just have a better team around him. Not in the sense of winning or losing, but the dude had an attitude. He never knew what being a loser was like. When he first came back from the ACL stuff, that's what he was. A loser. Rather than let him be humbled, then go through the somewhat painstaking but worthwhile process of building back up, he was thrown into the fray and ripped apart by horrendous coaching. So he's still on that post-humbling step. Mike Shanahan wasn't so much the problem as it was RG3 needing that time to learn he's not immortal. But now he has Jay Gruden who wants an Andy Dalton sort of QB. Kirk Cousins is pretty damn awful yet he's the starter? Not the comparably accurate if not moreso RG3 that also can run once he's healthy? RG3's old coaching was run often, he needed a Russell Wilson style run-as-needed approach. He would probably be healthier that way. Or maybe he has glass knees. Some people just can't stay healthy but we won't know with this Jay Gruden, Redskins abandoning their QB bullshit. Shit's a fiasco in that organization. If RG3 was on the Bills or, hell, the Seahawks, we might see a franchise yet.
yes i do. Our seats are 15 rows back on the 25 yard line skins side. the atmosphere is great NOW that rgiii is here. honestly it used to suck. but most games you have to stand up a ton. and the rivalry games you stand up the entire game. only breaks are commercials and halftime. So yes the atmosphere is great and loud. Just dont cheer to much if you come. and buy in advance since i expect most games to be sold out and packed.
