Great video as always! There’s so many wonderful Japanese denim brands to choose from and they all offer something a little different and special but Samurai have always been a personal favourite. I’ve way too many pairs but currently rocking a pair of 19oz S510xx and as with every other pair of Samurai’s I’ve owned they’ve been an absolute pleasure to wear and the fades are beginning to look beautifully pronounced. That’s just one of the reasons why I love Samurai’s, every pair I’ve ever had has rewarded me with wonderful fades.
That is first-hand experience with Samurai!!! The fade potential is something that is brought to the table by most of the wearers of Samurai and the owner always highlights that!!

I have the 25oz 25th anniversary kirinji model and I absolutely adore them! Samurai jeans are my go to for Selvedge denim, I love iron heart, SDA, momotaro, strike gold etc but samurai have the best extra little details for me especially with their anniversary models. I love that they’re limited editions as well so not many people have the same jeans as you!

Samurai 25oz is technically heavier as it is 25oz weight in the unsanforized state, Iron Heart is 25oz weight only after sanforization.

There’s a youtuber that compares both on 25oz and says the stitches last longer on samus. He’s a legit guy.

510 are regular straight, the 710 are slim straight
Great Video, i really like the extra touches added for the 25th anniversary. I really like the denim on Samurai's. I have a pair of S710 xx. The only criticism i have of mine is, they can rub a bit on the crotch.

is the waist sizing similar to ironheart?
Not at all!! The Iron Heart is sanforized and the Samurai are un-sanforized and raw which impacts the sizing

@@rainypath96 my advice is to check the measurements in one of your selvedge jeans and pick a Samurai with 1 inch bigger in your waist, counting for the shrinkage
