Drew, thank you for making such a wonderful video about Japan. As a Japanese person, it makes me very happy. Please come back to Japan and enjoy your time here again! I also hope everyone from around the world will come and visit Japan🤩
You don’t know how much I appreciate your content, bro every other fashion influencer just shows a video of them walking through Japan, but there’s no type of structure so ou don’t know what you’re looking forward to, but you go into depth and detail and section out every interaction so well it feels so well paced. I really hope you keep making this stuff because in a sense it almost feels like you were so grateful for the trip and you savored every last bit of it and getting to relive it with you honestly put me in a gratitude type of mood for real 🙌🏻 Keep the good stuff coming bro I hope you travel more too
I watched your videos today for the first time and I loved them. And I think you have a voice of 1/f fluctuation. Your narration is so soft and makes me relax. Thank you for visiting Japan and introducing our country so beautifully.
Didn't you feel more fond of Japan and its people after visiting Kojima? I think this visit was very worthwhile. America's valuable vintage denim is concentrated in Japan. Japanese people are reevaluating it because they know it is very meaningful. "Tateochi" and "Hige" have become common words around the world. I hope you will come back here in a few years with nostalgia. Sorry for my poor English.
Loved this video, and your journey, I have been following since October of 2023 and have not missed one single video. I actually recieved my first pair of quality jeans from Naked and famous recently, would not have happened without you. Thank you.
I loved this video. Thank you for taking the time to create it. The main reason that I’m interested in fashion and in your content is because I am a home sewist who loves to sew workwear. I have sewed one pair of jeans so far and it was a blast. How cool that people who aren’t into sewing can still experience a bit of it there in Japan. Attaching the hardware at the end is the icing on the cake and the most fun part of sewing jeans. Well, I actually really love the top stitching too. I would love to get my hands on some of those flowered rivets.
what a beautiful representation of this area I went from never knowing this existed to now adding this to one of my must goto spots when I got to Japan
Dope! Similar to your interest in denim, I'm going down the fascinating rabbit hole of Japanese made leather jackets. My next visit might be a very costly excursion and I can't wait.
Hoenstly high key, the staff at Raw denim stores(i've mostly spent time in Osaka) are what keeps me into raw denim. It's fun just talking clothes, geeking out on denim and sharing fade pictures.
I went to Tokyo couple weeks ago and bought some jeans. Couple raw denim and couple one wash. So I’ve been watching videos to learn how to shrink the raw and take care of them. I really enjoyed this video. Great work.
You definitely should've hit up the TCB factory, my wife and I went there last yr and that was for sure the highlight of Kojima. They gave us 2 free selvedge tote bags and some other goodies as a thank you for coming out on our honeymoon. I'm a TCB guy for life now ngl. Glad you enjoyed your time in Kojima, really wish it got more love!
Great to see your journey within the Japanese denim mecca. I'm guessing you're a denim head. On that note check out some of these brands: Iron Heart (Japan), Samurai Jeans (Japan), Imperial Denim (Australia), Kerbside (Singapore brand but Japanese denim). I also resonate with Maiko's sentiments. You have a great look that can resonate with the Japanese audience. You should do more Japan content.
Just have been to jeans street 3 weeks ago. Nice Video! For next time you visit Kojima, I can really recommend the Kapital store. Its their main store, and right now there is also a small bandana museum run by them.
I loved that place! I walked away with 3 pairs and a jacket, Japanese people are so beautiful I wish people back home would be like Japanese people , so polite and humble.
I never had the chance to go here. But I will next time I go Japan. Also your denim fits are so nice and it’s inspired me to definitely try new styles and fits.
Great episode! You’ve inspired me and my family to visit Jean Country to get custom jeans this fall. Thanks for posting. I subscribed. We’re excited about the trip. Great video, keep them coming!
i needa get my money up so i can get some good denim. i been interested in that side of fashion for a while. heritage, quality, craftmanship-forward brands are so much more personal and important than the average new/newly trending brand to me
Bro thanks for taking us down there to show us a tour or the denim in Japan. Makes me wish I woulda stepped out of Tokyo instead of just sticking to the metro areas. Keep inspiring 🫡
Hey Drew, I think I've been subbed almost since you started consistently putting out videos. Your passion and sincerity really shines in this video, so stoked you got to live out a denim-dream.
Drew, your content is just about the best going around and this one was no different. Been following along the journey for a few years now and recently just picked up my first pair of Japanese selvedge, coincidentally they happened to be from Japan Blue Jeans! Awesome to see that the staff and the shrine of fades as that only makes me appreciate my pair from the brand even more.
Amazing video man! I have heard of Kojima Jean Street before but I appreciate you vlogging and sharing, hope to go there one day myself! Feels like a right of passage for denim heads
Great video! Love Japanese Selvege denim! Hey what are the boots you are rockin? They look super cool and quality. Appreciate all these great videos. Thank you.
Thanx soooo muchhh Drew I watched till the end..the whole 20.58mins & did the 2 fist pumps with u👊👊😂🎉 I have learned sooo much about denim, esp Janpan's ones Never had an intention or desire to go to Japan But ur vdo has inspired me to go there Thanx soo much Peace 🙏🏻😍 Watching from New Zealand
I really love your Vlog, i owned some Momotaro jeans, Iron Heart, Pherrow's, Orsl0w, they'r just pure piece of art. Anw what's your blue jacket you'r wearing? Looking dope
Went here in 2014, went to Klax-On (The Strike Gold & Tenryo Denim), Momotaro and finally eating at Wagen restaurant (which I had a conversation - was an employee of Big John!)
First time here. Going to subscribe. I loved your presentation but I thought you might have mentioned the book Ametora , how Japan saved American Style by W David Marx. There is a chapter on the fabulous history of denim and Big John. Worth a read.
Japan Blue Jean shop host was so nice!! I love how in Asia they actually enjoy doing their job, whereas the most in America just do the bare minimum. They really care about who their customers are.
Drew - how did you go buying jeans at 6'4? I'm also at that height and struggled with everything in Japan last time I was there. Were there any stores that you found there was a good range for your height? For me Evisu was the only one.
I just came home from Japan a couple of days ago and it was only after watching this video i realized that i thriftet a pair of momotoro denim shorts for only 37$
I've been there in last year and it's quite a long way from Osaka~~~ I would recommend to visit Kapital shop, the interior decoration is amazing. The only bad thing is that no tax refund provided lol
Apologies for my pronunciation of Momotaro, I kept saying Momo-TOE-ro when it is indeed Momo-TAR-o
My bad
I think I’ve fallen in love with the Japan Blue Jean shop teller 😂
Same she is very pretty!

Mako was awesome! Also, what a cool experience to help assemble Lauren’s skirt. Loved this one, Drew.

Zimbabwe Cotton?? WOW.. I never knew that.. WOW thanks Drew
At Momotaro, Zimbabwe cotton is their standard. Their item descriptions also state this. So expensivest though 😂
Japan Blue Jean shop host was so nice!! I love how in Asia they actually enjoy doing their job, whereas the most in America just do the bare minimum. They really care about who their customers are.
love from quito, ec. japan is on my bucket list now

I am wearing Yohji Yamamoto 5 pocket jeans! They are a straight fit but pretty wide by normal standards
Drew - how did you go buying jeans at 6'4? I'm also at that height and struggled with everything in Japan last time I was there. Were there any stores that you found there was a good range for your height? For me Evisu was the only one.
