Walk like a Penguin AD

When walking on icy, snow-packed sidewalks and parking lots:
Wear the proper footwear such as winter boots and attachable cleats.
Watch where you are going because ice can be concealed under snow.
Walk like a Penguin with your feet pointed out, knees slightly bent, and your arms straight out by your side for extra balance.
Please report icy areas on the UM and Missoula College campuses right away so that we can get the icy areas addressed quickly. Call the Facilities Services Work Order Desk at 406-243-6091 or submit an online request here: Facilities Services Online Work Order System.
In the event that you are injured while working at UM, please notify your supervisor as soon as possible. Also, you should complete the online First Report of Injury form.
