Yeah me too, but maybe is because I'm too slow or too fast and I don't balance much as I should, gotta keep my body straight and walk, but not like a penguin lolz
You have to not lean forward which is the hardest part. A slight lean is ok but you want to keep from actually being humped over. I live in Minnesota, this works for us
But at about 1:16, didn't he say "yeah, that's not working at all"? So does it work. I always pretend to be ice skating, and that usually works fine for me. I guess we have to figure out what works best for us. Unfortunately, we often don't know that until it's too late.
put socks over your shoes hear me out people will laugh and may think you look a fool but they are the ones who look the fools tip toeing taking baby steps on ice and slipping on there bums and you confidently just walk right past them
yeah no, that's not how you penguin walk, have you never walked on real ice? if it is real slick you can just push off and slide. It also depends on the shoes or boots you are wearing
I see all kind of people saying how easy it is to walk on ice and how it can be other people find it hard. For me, someone with a very bad balance it's terrifying to do that

Could your Estonian friend please upload a tutorial on how to walk on ice please?? I just got a new job where I thought they wanted someone for the doggie daycare but it turns out it’s dog walking! And I’m scared to slip

That surface is totally flat. You're really screwed on inclines and windy weather.
Yep 😂
I live in Nashville, TN; we don’t have the rolling cable and harnesses on our sidewalks. It must be cause we’re in the south.
yea we don't have them here in alabama either. such backwards undeveloped states.

So you will never walk outside when there is snow on the ground?
Ahhhhhh finally an instructional video lmao
I saw a video of UPS training their drivers on how to walk on ice.
Idk why but I’m proud I knew instinctively how to walk like that aha
Same
The Penguin is strong in this one^

The penguin walk wasn't working at all for him. The march worked fine for him.
During the “penguin walk” are you supposed to bend so far forward like he does? I’ve never seen penguins bending so far forward while walking 🤷🏻♀️

Sweet - I already walk like a penguin!
Lol watching this since I have a half mile walk home on a flat road of ice during the winter 👍🏻

probably safer to crawl, lol
No joke
I'd love to try out his rig. Looks like he's wearing something on the bottom of his feet to make that otherwise not ice surface extra slippery.
I always walk on ice by sliding. No need to lift your feet. Just slip, slide along. I learned that when I was 5.
I think he would fall either way, but can i use that harness to get out to my car tomorrow? 😅
Buy adequate footwear, that makes all the difference in the world

This is learned by the age of five, by trial and error, in Minnesnowtahh.
We didn't have harnesses or walking teachers..

The so-called penguin walk is a creation of cartoons. That is NOT how they walk in real life, as I learnt in Antarctica.
doesn't work for me. I walk on teh balls of my feet and can become very agile and fast on ice.
Was expecting him to fall spectacularly while walking the wrong way and see the harness in action.. disappointed
Using icy spikes on concrete is not a suitable option right?
Who didn’t know this
Just dont go on it
