I have a 1950 cub , I'm putting on new blades and installing the sickle bar for my first time . then I'm going after the sticker bushes along the creek . can't wait to see what it can do.

that is exactly how you lose a finger to a sickle bar mower
Keep your hand out of that mower blade when lowering the bar !
So a guy is demonstrating a tractor and mower who knows nothing of what he is doing and has nothing to mow. Does not make for an interesting video!!!
