Eddie i remember flying in and out of Don Muang in the 90's. Cant wait for your vlogs of cambodia going there on the 20 jan from cold Ireland. Great food and beer reviews . Thanks
I wish I had visited Cambodia well before covid. But delighted to hear it s open with visa on arrival. Vietnam and Philippines need to do the same. Enjoy Eddie 👋👋👍👍
Sti) catching up, but thanks gor these videos. I want to do Cambodia and Vietnam, but it's tough to have enough time off to do it. I'd be in whatever bar that was until that downpour of rain stopped. Hope the beer is well-stocked!
Ah mate, I love it when you drain a beer and look into the camera and go “lovely stuff” I can almost taste it! Great video Ed, I love your actual travelling vids when you are on the move. “Lovely stuff!”
Great stuff. Always love to see you get to your destination with no probs, I've missed flights from Bangkok due to enjoying the bar in the airport too much! Really looking forward to your accounts...
I remember many a flight into Don Muang in my early days of going to Thailand, was a nice airport, but obviously the numbers had outgrown it. Good to see its still being used. Nice flight into Siem Reap...much better than the trek overland I think. Look forward to more of your adventures there. Have fun Eddy, all the best, cheers!
I hate to brag , or cry, but my flight home today was on a airliner so new, it smelled like a new car. Looking forward to all you new creative content from Cambodia.
Great video Ed , been a while since i was in cambodia , really looking forward to your next video . hope your having a great time .....dont mind the rain ...its raining here too ..just much much colder !
Wow . That went well eddy . I did not know the airport was so far away from Pattaya. This is the kind of video we like to see . Good information for when we get there . I'd life to see Angkor Wat . I think I will try to do it . Thanks . Have fun .
Distance between the new airport & old airport & Pattaya are 120 Km & 165 Km respectively & if no traffic problems take around 1 1/2 & 2 hours in a Taxi. Pattaya’s airport is U-Tapao & I think now they only have flights with Koh Samui, Phuket & Chiang Mai & a load of places in Russia. They still saying the speed train linking all these 3 airports will be operational by the end of 2025. What you might not also know is you can buy some airline tickets in any 7-11 or Family Mart & few other places. You can buy Thai Smile, NOK Air, Air Asia & I think Lion Air but not sure about the rest but you can always go in one & ask.
Great video Steady Eddy !! I have been to Cambodia several times , but never been to Siem Reap.. Hopefully you will put out a few videos of Siem Reap. Cheers from British Columbia Canada..
Have a great time Eddie. Cambodia is the a terrific little country. Given all the mainland Chinese are strapped in back home, Sihanouk might well be worth a looksee! Cheers, Archie
Sean Flynn was portrayed in Michael Herr’s great book Dispatches.A courageous man who had so much to give but was cut short. Like so many other Great Young Men.
Glad to see you're not glued to Pattaya! Too many sad people arrive and never leave. Should have checked the weather forecast, though, and gone to Chiang Mai. Its depressing when it's raining and cloudy for long stretches. Follow the sun!!
Good info. Eddie complete journey travel , prices & schedule Pattaya to Cambodia flights will come in handy on my next trip in February, for those prices & comfort saves the hassle of border crossing
I remember doing hour flights in Thailand always surprising how much extra time you need travelling to and from airport waiting etc, best airline I used was Thai smile Looking forward to move vids
28 days in Siem Reap? Hopefully a tour of Cambodia coming up. Some great bars in Phnom Penh to visit. I have a sneaky suspicion you'd enjoy kampot as well. Looking forward to your upcoming vids!
I live in kampot he won’t be disappointed at all it’s amazing loads of bars and floating bars river trips bokor mountain I live in a jungle village mud roads quite a few expats 5 mins from town
I've spent too much of my life wating in departure lounges. Sent a chill down my spine. I took a train from the main Bangkok railway station to that airport. Cheap as chips! Took forever but a very enjoyable journey with very friendly passengers including chatty monks. The King's car (he was still alive then) drove under the overpass when I arrived at the airport preventing me from going to departures for five minutes or so. Ed don't put down Dary Queen. Can't buy it in Oz anymore so I'm grateful to get my fix in Thailand. Amazing how many people still wearing masks. Enjoy Siem Reap. Lovely town.
Hi Eddy...! How are you doing Mate. I hope you’re having a great time out there in Cambodia. I really enjoy watching your blogs especially those from one place to another like this one..! Very entertaining and interesting with your own personal style and cracking sense of humour. I’m going back to Thailand myself next month. Honestly I can’t wait any longer. Freezing cold weather all over England and depressing news every single day. Keep the hard work coming Eddy and enjoy your tasty food...! Drinks and everything else...! Thanks again for your Videos and keep safe Mate..!
So much looking forward to seeing this part of your travels over Thailand which has been done to death. Can't wait to see what you get up to in Cambodia. Take care sir eddy i'm back on this account after getting everything unlocked and a brand new lovely mobile. Carl
hoping to see the young lady in the black dress from ' sad to leave Cambodia, ' where the final meal was $13, inckuding Cambodian whiskey. You are the Magical Mystery Tour of vicariosity SIR EDDIE
Another good vid, Eddie. Interesting seeing how to fly there, as I live about an hour from border and usually ride/taxi there. Enjoy the cheap booze, mate!!!!
Great review. Have a funtastic trip. I left Cambodia on the last flight in 1975. It was chaos. My house and cars are still there in Phnom Penh. A guess a Khmer rouge guy has it.🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿
Really miss Thailand and Cambodia. Good to see you made it okay Eddie.. But for $5 bucks more, you could have gotten the Ordinary Visa... which can be extended three, six or 12 months. But you "might" be able to extend your visa for an extra thirty days. (I can't remember) Stick around there for another 12 months..... and we can meet up for lunch. I'll be renting a $100 dollar a month apartment again.. Going to stay and live there for the rest of my life... with side trips to Thailand now and then. Best wishes...
Alright Ed, had a really good tour with Bangkok Pat the other day, he’s a really nice down to earth bloke, like you mate😂 will be off to Koh Chang if a couple of days, hope to bump into you in the next couple of months👍
Wrapping up a sojourn in Cambodia, a very fufilling and worthwhile session.Flying from Phnom Pehn on the 14th into BKK. It’s my understanding that I am allowed 2 land entries per year but unli ited fly-ins.At any rate it was great to be in Cambodia again.
SIem Reap airport is one of my favourite to arrive at. No imposing steel structure. It blends in with the culture of the country. Also, if you have planned your visit to Cambodia, with flights booked, better to do your visa beforehand. Saves queuing…
Yesterday I made the same trip but by land; I leave the datails: 60 bath moto taxi from hotel to van station (south pattaya road cross with sukumvit road), 250 baht van to Araniyaprathet border, 400 baht shared taxi poypet-siem reap hotel. Started 8 am arrived 18.30....I cannot raccomend the evisa, it costs me 50 euro!!....Hi Edward I hope to recognize you if we meet in Siem Reap😀
Eddy...I haven't traveled as much as you, but no delays yet. My problem has been getting in a rush and misplacing things. So need to start early and slow down...sabai sabai. Anyway, there is a nice snooker hall there with ladies serving food and drinks. But a few years ago, so maybe Google it.
I’m sure you’ve already got a room booked in a hotel, but if you decide to extend your stay, we got an Airbnb where we rent out rooms and it’s located about a three minute took took from pub Street.
Any chance you could visit kampot? Its got a great small entertainment area,, the bridge across the river was bombed by america and 2 rebuilt sections can clearly be seen....
Any chance you might be going down to Sihanoukville for a few days , they say it's undergone a real change in the last ten years ( don't know if that's for the better) . Good to see Don Mueang airport again.
First day in Cambodia and you have a video filmed and edited already! that's dedication 👍
Still got one to come from Pattaya
Nothings ever cheap at airports is it. Great video Eddie. Looking forward to seeing you in Cambodia 🇰🇭 Thanks for sharing!
Good to hear from you, mate.
One of your best vlogs.... Much better than 2 hour boring live stream.
I hate live as well
The rain at the end is so calming. Cuban Cigar and a beer and just hearing the rain fall on top of the metal roofs...orgasmic.
It's always great travelling vicariously with you around Southeast Asia...Ed...Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪☘🇮🇪

The Giant Ibis bus from Siem Reap to Bangkok is a nice trip... and cost a lot less than a flight. Just my opinion....
Don Muang has been renovated. So pretty now.
