- Springfield Armory launched their popular Emissary 1911 in all black. This is one sweet 1911 and all the attention to detail and all the features make it one of my favorite 1911's of 2024!

I started typing and ended up with a paragraph...basically, if you're on the fence about buying one, just do it. Never felt or shot any 1911 out of the box like this! It'll "outshoot" about 90% (maybe more) of practiced shooters. Best handgun I've ever purchased hands down.
They are extremely nice!
it's 4.25" standard commander size, the longer barrel is 5" . There is no 4.5" . I have the 5" Emissary in 9mm, it's sweet.
The trigger is a polymer trigger.
The downside on it is it's not optic ready. BTW, they don't make a 4.5" version despite him saying it multiple times.
Red dots and flash lights are for wanna be GIJoes - no one uses them except on UA-cam. It’s 4.25’ - I own the five inch and it’s phenomenal
@@jjames2162 "No one uses them except on UA-cam" is such a silly statement to make, especially considering the massive amounts of money optic manufacturers make every year selling them to non UA-camrs and comp shooters. You really think it's a good business model to manufacturer a ton of pistol optics for less than 1% of the gun purchasers that have a UA-cam channel? Come on now Karen, you could've just said you personally are not a fan, w/o the emotional response of a woman on her menstrual cycle lol.
@@Desmo1 no one uses optics unless they compete. Optics occupy a small niche market that isn’t growing as much YT’ers would lead you to believe. They have already peaked in sales. The market will shrink but quality will improve like other fads. The gun market and the gun accessory market is a tough playing field.
Iron sites are more reliable, don’t get dirty from powder, don’t need to be recharged, and are more comfortable and less printable.
Desmo - you have to do better than employing a Karen remark. Try something original. Be authentic instead of a fan boy. I have no doubt you have red dots all over your pistol with a $300 flash light and some kind of dumb ass bumper sticker about freedom
@@jjames2162 "No one uses red dots except YT's" "No one uses red dots except comp shooters" lol, come on man you don't understand how you keep moving the goal posts? Let me ask you this, why would a comp shooter use a red dot? and how would that transfer to self defense? You made a lot of claims that are simply personal opinions. Also, you do know that iron sights can still be utilized with a red dot installed right? And if you must know, I run my pistols with and w/o red dots, for instance my SA Prodigy has no red dot, but my Shadow Systems does. BTW, a lot of manufacturers are making optic ready pistols for what you describe as a dying market, someone should tell them! lol
@@Desmo1 of course they offer them with optics ready. That’s how the industry works. It’s not always about what’s practical or even sensible but about what sells.
Hope you like your Prodigy, I own some SA too and several 2011 and custom Tanfos. None with dots.
I didn’t say it was a dying market but a shrinking market. Manufacturers would sell you molle for your shoe laces if they could make money off it. Just like any other market, they are competing for your $$ and Americans love a short cut.
For those of us who enjoy shooting, compete occasionally, and don’t need to carry every day, RDs are a waste of money and a headache
Don’t get me started on the asinine bs of YT putting them on lever guns. Remember this place is for entertainment and click likes
Looks fantastic. Thought these were supposed to be 4.25" and a 5" ??
The new models are 4.25 and 5”
@@MOE-0269so not 4.5 that he states in video?
@@toddparsons2980 correct, 4.25” for the commander with full rail
Hey buddy, the guy talking just made an error. The two new models are 4.25” and 5.00”.
Most all Black Emissary reviews are .45ACP. I wish they’d do 9mm (blasphemy!).
I live here in Los Angeles. Can I purchase this in California?
I would think so
Just wish it was ds
That’s basically the prodigy
I seen the full size at my local FFL, loved it and even more than the original but o decided to wait for a commander for all black it’s a sexy piece of steel
Hey guy. It’s 4.25 not a 4.5”. You don’t know your 1911s
Humans make errors. Talking on camera isn’t always perfection. Thanks for watching
@@outdoornewsamerica oh I know. I only wanted to make one video once and it was a lot of takes. However in this case only a non 1911 person could make this mistake. 1911 main 4 configuration is officer, commander, government and long slide. Granted some other odd configurations happen sometimes. But those are rare.
Just purchased one brand new for $969 plus tax
Where ….i can’t find one. I’ve got its sister at home in safe. Wanted that one when I bought other but they weren’t making it yet in 4.25” with a rail. So I settled and got one without knowing it will be out soon enough. And here we are …
