How long did it take to get it?
I've had this carrier with the rimelig armor (Because fuck that hybrid shits expensive) for about half a year now. Pretty much any time i'm out i bring it. Even with the thicker armor, it's unnoticeable in most of my outfits, and i don't have to wear bulky jackets. Even my simplest button down shirts do a fantastic job making it disappear. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone. It's a fantastic feeling of peace of mind to have.

What about your side area that pretty important to protect kinda of a vital area maybe you could have a full wrap design I’d buy that. U till then I’ll stick with overt armor and my soft armor from point blank

I've bought AR500 armour in the past and the quality seems to be there but I'm concerned about the back face deformation with the thin s2 panels
That is understandable. Although all our armor comes in well under NIJ back face deformation standards, using a set of trauma pads behind the S2s will significantly decrease their back face deformation footprint.

You state it can be used but it's not intended for use with a hard plate for sake of concealment...but I feel like in that case you could remove the 'carrier' portion of this armor, and just sow the shoulder straps and cummerbund directly to the level 3a soft armor plate. That would lower the weight from excess fabric and lower the overall profile to just the soft plate against your chest?
Perhaps, but our carriers are professionally stitched to hold the armor inside of it, and not making it built-in gives people more options on what kind of armor to hide inside.

How do you find out what size you need to order.

IMHO essential for any one planning to CC. Why levae us open to being shot while drawing our pistol or after we've drawn? Which does happen I'm sure. Mis-timed shots. Whether or not we snag our pistols on clothing or not. This is if we don't want to carry a bakpack that offer a quick to deploy front plate with a pocket for a pistol. There WILL be times when one doesn't want to carry a backpack. Even if that is the best protectin 3A plate front/back).
If you get in a situation where you actually need this. You will not have time to get something from your backpack.
Is it stab proof?
The problem is that shelf that the back pad makes. Very obvious under a suit
Do trauma pads fit into this carrier along with the soft armor?
Can speed plates be used with the adaptive plate carrier for circumstances where additional protection is more important than 100% concealablity?
They do, just keep in mind you will lose the concealability.
Do safelife FRAS plates work in this? Do y'all have any plates like the FRAS? I really like that they are soft armor but stop 556 an 762x39

just ordered a safe life 3A for work, kind regretting it now that i saw this. i guess the question is, is it spike/stab resistant? im more likely to get stabbed by a needle or ice pick than get shot but if im going to wear a vest i might as well have pistol protection. also side protection
this armor is not stab resistant and your soft armor from safe life defence covers the sides of your torso aswell as a part of your abdomen unlike the limited coverage of the 10x12 plate
I think you made the best choice by far. much greater armor coverage on the safelife and safelife appears to fit the body a little better.
So the the conclement one with soft armor that one the website is the old gen version
Why velcro? Why not make it a stretchy elastic or fabric even on the straps? Make it where you can slip it on like a tank top or like under armor shirts.

No, due to the way they hard rifle plates print under clothing, these can only be used with IIIA soft armor inserts. Hope this helps!
Can you add an optional small side hard plate on top or behind the front soft body armor? Or would it just slide around? Looking for modularity if more protection needed.
I’m not quite sure what you mean? Are you asking if you can wear side plates in the front?
@@AR500Armor asking if you could run one of the side plates in front of the front soft armor. Sometimes there's a little pocket to allow for inserts for additional protection over the chest.
Oh I understand. The Concealment carrier doesn't have those pouches, it's designed to just use plates and trauma pads - side plates could be snug in there but there isn't anything in there that would secure them in place unfortunately.

Is there an XL version?
Yes, we do, however the sizing on the concealment carriers will be slightly "non-traditional".
The "Medium" size concealment carrier fits 10"x12" size inserts, which will protect someone between 5'4" and 6'3". 10"x12" size inserts are traditionally known as "Large" inserts. The medium size concealment will fit a range of users between an adult male t-shirt size "Medium" - "XXL"
Likewise, the "Large" size concealment carrier fits 11"x14" sized inserts, which are traditionally known as "XL" size inserts. 11"x14" size inserts are intended for someone taller than 6'4".
The large concealment carrier will fit a range of users who wear an adult male t shirt size Medium - XXXL

You don't use Cordura anymore???The carrier you sold me in 2020 had a Cordura tag attached. I guess I should have done more research before buying.
It depends on the carrier. This is a video for the Concealment Carrier, that is made of a different material. The Valkyrie Carrier is still 500D Cordura. Just check the specs on the carrier you're interested in, and it's listed there 👍
Is this stab resistant?
No, due to the wide variation in blade profiles (needle point vs bowie point), sharpness (dull vs sharp), and even physical strength variation in the person stabbing you, there is no consistent way to make soft armor stab resistant without adding a layer of chainmail. We recommend rifle rated plates for edge weapon protection.
3a rated or 3a nij certified?
I know you would print more, but will the Velcro hold up to 3+ light weight swimmers cut plates?
It's not recommended, the idea behind the concealment is to be as hidden as possible, we recommend the Rimelig or Hybrid soft armor
How well does it hold the weight of a pair of level 4 ceramic plate
It would be fine but it isn't really recommended as they aren't easily concealable

No, the carrier requires that soft armor panels be inserted into it before it offers any protection.
Would this be too bulky for a petite female ?
Should be a good fit. The cummerbund has extra room for adjustment and is made of an elastic material for a snug fit. The shoulder straps can be adjusted down to be quite snug as well. If you check out our Life, Liberty, & Property video that we made recently, you can see the wife character in the video put on a concealment carrier while the husband puts on a Testudo. Out of all our carriers, this would be one of the best to fit a petite female.

How much would one cost
About 450 total set up for the 11x14 which is the one I plan on purchasing.

Technically yes, but we don't really recommend it because the carrier was designed to hold soft armor, meaning that hard armor plates will likely become uncomfortable and put extra stress on the carrier.

@Steven Ohakwe These people are irrational and unreasonable. The only thing you can do to appease them in a self defense situation is die. Because anything you do to survive they will hate you for.
Prosecutors will use any excuse to paint you as a murderer if you ever use your weapon to protect yourself, I've even seen them try to claim the fact hollow points were used was evidence of pre planning for first degree murder. Think about that, HALF THE COPS IN THE COURT ROOM WHEN THE PRICK MADE THAT ARGUMENT HAD HOLLOWPOINTS LOADED AND HE HAD THE BALLS TO CLAIM USING HOLLOWPOINTS WAS, BY ITSELF, EVIDENCE OF INTENT TO COMMIT FIRST DEGREE MURDER.
Do you think for a second that prosecutor was unaware that the police use hollowpoints too? Do you think he cared for a second about the hypocrisy of his argument? No.
It was just a prosecutor going for the biggest charge he thought he could make stick, no matter how hard he had to push to stick it.
The reason you carry is to survive, if you aren't willing to do so at the cost of catching some bullshit for it, then you might as well not even bother to defend yourself.

Yes the concealment can be run pretty easily with trauma pads. They add just a little bit of thickness, but it is minimal.
I hope technology gets better where it will be able to stop rifle rounds.

Yes, its been tested. The problem is there are too many variables such as blade profile, edge sharpness, and force applied. No 2 people stab alike. Different blade profiles perform differently when it comes to separating and cutting layers of aramid. If you are concerned with edged weapons, use our new A3 plate. It's only 4.6 lbs and stab resistant.
