I play with the Fractal FM nine which has plenty of sound options. I’ve learned to practice with the older church live streams rather than the actual tracks so I can dial in the sound to fit with the actual instruments and sounds I’ll be playing with.

Great lesson! Thanks for sharing. Especially like the part about using the volume knob to go from clean to drive instead of trying to hop on a pedal the easier the better.

Thanks so much, bud! I’ve used the volume knob that way for years. It definitely gives you more options quickly. I always appreciate your comments. See you soon.🙏

As an older player, I love tastefully bringing in techniques and tones from back in the day. A new usher introduced himself Sunday and said he so appreciated seeing someone of my... um... experience on the team. It's easy to forget that people my age created the genre. But it's neat to see how far this kind of worship music has come, and I'm blessed to still find a place to contribute in it. Thanks for the content!

Brother. I'm your amen corner. I experimented wish so many effects, pedals and processors. I always ended up getting the best results from keeping it simple with reverb, delay and OD and using the guitar dynamically.

Love it! Thank you, brother! When you dial in your tone for your amp/guitar/pedals do you eq to a particular pickup? I know people do it differently so just was curious your process. Blessings!

Thanks Mitch! And you’re welcome. And most of my guitars the neck pick up is darker. I will dial in a lower gain pedal that works with both pick ups. That way I can easily go between them. And then stack a few different petals on top of that when needed. Which isn’t that often. I’m really riding my volume knob. On six or seven it’s cleaner and then when I turn it all the way up, it adds a little bit of hair to it. I need to do an updated paddleboard, rundown for sure. Good to hear from you and thanks for the comment.🙏
