What is with the double voice over? Right at the most important part that covers why and were the problem lies, there is double conversation. It renders this video useless for a DIY to fix an issue.

Could re do the sound, chit chat in the background. Did you grease the new ring seals and cone seals?

Have you seen the motor on top of the drinking water filteration unit leaking water from the two small holes in the back of the motor?

The K5 has not got a pump but are you describing the cylinder permiate mounted on the top beneath the top cover.? If so, it is quite a common problem and the whole cylinder has to be changed. It is more apparent went the the shut off happens when the taste and odour filter comes to the end of its capacity.

Contact your local Kinetico dealer. In the UK you can get from Kinetico Aquacare.

Hey there! I've got a Premier Compact XP, and I don't know if it's behaving properly. We set the XP meter to our water hardness, then started the regen cycle. It seemed to take the right amount of time, but nothing moved? Even the meter. The manual says to only set XP when the meter is "home", but it says that on the last page so we didn't check, but set it straight out of the box. I was under the impression the meter span, although I can't be sure - it doesn't look like the older ones in most videos!
Is there a way to make sure we've not messed up the meter? Is it meant to spin, or does everything just happen internally now?

@@TheWaterBoyuk I bought it online from a Kinetico Dealer, however they're the other side of the country to me so I'm not sure they can send anyone out. It may well be doing what it's meant to, it's just that I don't know if we had it in the right position when we set the meter. It said "NEVER set the meter while the indicator is in the black section of the disk"......except the whole disk is black, and we can't remember what it was set to. We did it straight out the box. The manual is unbelievably unhelpful - the regen took about 10-11 minutes I think, but nothing moved so I have no idea if that was metered or if we were lucky!

The dealer who sold it you has to support it for regardless of where you are. Give them an email and they will help - it has a long warranty. If you do not get any help, give Kinetico UK a buzz and their tech guy will help.

@@TheWaterBoyuk perfect, thanks! It seems like it's a fairly new design - which is good to have the latest advancements, but bad as there's almost nothing online - not even a video of one regenerating or metering

@@MarkyDeeMan it was released last year, and it is not a product we sell anymore - although I have just fitted one for another dealer in a local hospital. I am sure it works well, but my first impression was that the XP valve didnt compare in quality to the old Kinetico valve. The old valve was pretty much bomb proof and well built. From what I gather, the Infinity water softener by Kinetico uses the other valve still, and that is being distributed by Patmore Water Softeners based in Ipswich.
Buying online is always a risk - because support is difficult, especially with a product that is newly released, and dealers are experiencing problems. My advice is to always buy local
