Installing Roblox and Roblox Studio does not work for Apple Mac

- No audio. It would just been me growling at it anyway. This video is about Roblox and Roblox Studio does not work for Apple Mac. I am just going in circles as you can see. Roblox have recommended I check Flash, which is a concern as Adobe will make that redundant from December. They also suggested creating a new user account just to run it. Which is clearly impractical. Removing parent controls (I'm a grown up!), updating all the scripting (none of which is supposed anymore by Safari, Chrome or Firefox). I've used CleanMyMac to scrub my mac all clean of Roblox traces then try reinstalling with each browser and restarting. Any links that would help me get this working are really appreciated.
Support asked me to check Flash. Odd, as Flash gets retired in December. I've asked multiple times if Roblox is Flash dependent with no answer. So.... all i assume from that is that Roblox will cease to work after December.
Check my comment in the comment section, that's currently the only solution to getting roblox and roblox studio to work for Mac.
I HAVE A FIX!!! If you are using Roblox Studio on a mac device and it says authentication failed or could not log in despite the fact that your user and pass is correct do this:
Go to system preferences, go to Network, go to both your ethernet (if you aren't using an ethernet cord, its still fine) and your wifi. Click on advanced then click on proxies on the tab bar. After that, disable SOCKS proxy. After that, go back and then click on apply on the bottom right corner of the window. After that, log in to Roblox Studio and it will work. If it doesn't work, make sure you disabled SOCKS proxy on both your ethernet and wifi networks. If you close Roblox Studio, you will have to repeat this process again until Roblox Studio works with SOCKS proxy. Ur welcome fam
EDIT: This will also work with the Roblox app if it keeps on saying "Unable to fetch current version" :D

And no problem, I know a lot of people are struggling with this issue at the moment, but no one is coming up with a solution so I decided that I would.
I turned off socks proxy and it still isn't working . (edit)

How are you disabling it? I"m on Advanced > Proxies. I don't see any box that are ticked, or any to tick in order to disable this.
It sucks getting the “Roblox was unable to update” message and it doesn’t even tell me why. I reinstalled both Roblox and Roblox Studio. Neither of them worked. I also tried restarting my computer TWICE, and I wasn’t surprised to see the error message again. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.
I tried this today without success: Try fully resetting your Roblox settings by deleting the settings files. To do this go to Library->Preferences and delete all of the Roblox com files. When Studio/Player are launched again, it should reinstall them all.I tried this without success today:
Mine says 'Place1' and just doesn't open at all, its been like this for almost 3 weeks I've restarted and downloaded it again but still doesn't work.

out of nowhere last week, it was working again i was so happy. i tried launching roblox today and same thing happened, it doesnt work again.
if this keeps up with u, ur best off buying a new pc. my new one is arriving in 9 days
Seems so eratic. On my PC it updates when it feels like it. Wish I could turn that off

Same process except that i can't download the roblox.dmg anymore. why? idk. My mom won't let me have a new computer because she says it's fine. Guess I'll just wait for a miracle or grind clash royale for the rest of time lol

@@sss-lk4fs Customer service fed me nothing but BS. I was unable to speak with anyone who seemed to be able to offer any advice that was coherent and I could implement. So no, I havent got this working on my mac.

my roblox studio always quits unexpectedly and i’ve been searching and searching for some way to fix it. everyone keeps telling me to restart my computer or retry it and nothing works
I'm finding too many answers from support to be just flat wrong.
if ur on a mac, look at my comment in the comment section, that's the only solution for now and it's working. If it's quitting unexpectedly tho, it's just ur computer because the apps should at least work before giving you an error. Still try my solution though
When I try use roblox studio I just get a grey screen and a message saying I disconnected from the last team connect.

im in mac, its working my cuh, I think you just need to update you're computer or PC. I have no problems right now but okay.

Maybe its because you have so many apps on your iMac Pro
i have the exact same problem...
A year on and the best result I had from roblox was that my Flash was out of date, that it was my IP providers fault, or I should create a fresh partition on my drive for roblox only. So, nothing that shows Roblox support has any real idea what I’m talking about or sincere desire to address my issue. That said , others have found the solutions on this page work for them so please read thru the other replies on this page .

For me it says “Authentication Failed Contact support if the problem still persists” I deleted it and reinstalled it yet it ain’t working

Look in the comment section for my big comment, that's the perfect solution for the problem u are currently experiencing. I've dealt with the same problem, but I fixed it with my solution. Have a read and try it, I hope it helps.

OMG same, I restarted my mac and re-installed studio twice and still doesn't work ;-;
My studio won't let me do anything on it. All I can do is just place a part down.
You're making progress at least. Have you tried their tutorials?
When I try to play roblox on my Mac it would say this, "Unable to fetch current version" then under that it would say, "An error occured and Roblox cannot continue. If problem persists please download a new version."
I've tried everything but nothing works. My wifi is completely fine but I still can't play roblox. I've tried downloading it again but yet nothing happens. Anyone have the same problem or advice?

I really appreciate your detailed and thoughtful response. I have tried this but without success. I just can't get past "configuring roblox studio". The white square with that text appears... then goes and I'm back to square one.
that happends to me to even right now and i hate it i think we have to many apps or photos or things i just THINK
I'm new to the program so troubleshooting is particularly challenging. I can get it to work on a 14.5" laptop but the work area is so small. I have a 27" 5k imac... I want to use that screen. Good luck with fixing. Let me know of you were successful.

Looks crazy, but it’s divided into zones . System utilities , Adobe suite , gaming, browsers , communication, Microsoft, web design, music. I’ve always done this so muscle memory saves me having to look .

Hi, Thank you ! It's really difficult to ask anyone about it - as a new user I cant send messages in Roblox forum, and the responses from Roblox don't maker a great deal of sense or are inaccurate.

@@aidanb36 I've tried all their advice, but even with my admittedly very limited experience I am able to tell when I'm being fed crap answers. Currently Roblox is telling me I have to contact my ISP as it is their fault it's not working. Joke.
