Nice and same here, my daughter couldn't allow anyone to feed her apart from her mum,after signing her up for daycare she's able to feed herself,even putting on the socks and shoes at 1year 6 months. Many thanks to those mothers taking care of our kids
I Work as an early childhood educator in Australia, its lots of work but its fulfilling especially to see the children grow right before you.❤❤❤
She is too cutteeee! She has your complexion and her dad's looks =-she is a beautiful baby! I too took my baby but to school a bit early (called baby class in Kenya) and it made all the difference. She used to cling onto me and even learnt to walk a bit later because of this. Taking her there made all the difference - was potty trained early, learnt to eat well, could make friends and learnt her sounds of alphabets and numbers early. It helps if you take her to place committed to kids. She had a school diary which we discovered like a year ago (my daughter is now 14) and all it had was notes on how see fed, if she relieved herself, etc - her school bag only had food and diapers. She has come so far from then. You made the right choice. God bless your daughter immensely.

Daycare helped with putting my kids on a schedule, feeding independently, potty training, pacifier addiction, improved their social skills, be more independent, the only downside for me was my oldest getting sick every week his first 6-12 months of daycare, but that helped with building his immunity and also helped his younger build his too. So I'm thankful for daycare. That potty training part, I didn't even know how to start.
OMG! This is me right now, I have no clue where to start with potty training. Sigh
That was really good , i had such experience, i put him in a day care and he is now a lovely and independent boy.
That decision to send her to daycare worked for you and definitely for her. My son started daycare at 18 months and I realized I should have let him start at like six months. Not that it would have been easy for me oh! But I feel he would have been eating solids especially much quicker. My son didn’t start eating rice till after he turned 3. Now he will even tell me he wants jollof or fried rice.
I also had a very nice home daycare provider for my son when I came to the US. He was 1.4 years old at the time. The woman and her children love taking care of people. She is African American, and honestly, if I were to have another baby, I would take my new born to her from day one.

Thank you for this. My son is 15 months old, and he is more clingy to his dad than I. I plan to take him to daycare, but my issue is i can't find any Nigerian kind in the UK 😢. But I've already thought him how to eat swallow and others. He also takes cerelac, thanks to my mom.

Well done on dealing with the finger sucking. It can lead to misalignment of teeth, changes in the shape of jaw structure and potential speech problems if it happens beyond the age of 2.

My son is two years old plus… and I really don’t know where he will belong. Is it daycare or their home or preschool ? but what I pray for is a good school that could teach him the principles that he needs to grow. This video helped me and encouraged me.

My cousin in her 20’s stopped sucking exactly the same way. Her fingers were like Chineyenwa’s. We call the day home childminding here. I put my boys with a childminder when they were little too. The small setting makes a great difference to their social life etc. well done Neze for the courage
Bitter leaf is what they use back in the day . So when the child notice that bitter taste he | she will stop. Wow thank God that Chinenyenwa is now well integrated and the changed is Beautiful. School is always great change as a baby I was clingy and not playing or follow others too. But early school helped my parents change all that. Congratulations Neze my dear. I m happy for Nenyenwa.

Daycare is good as a working mum all my kids went to daycare from 3 months old. However my 4 years old son still sucks his lower lips and plays my breasts once his is home from school I am still struggling with stopping these his habits for good. I need help.

When babies bite their fingers to that extent, you have to get them a dummy to suck on cos it could be their gums are itchy due to teething. You can then wean them off the dummy gradually. Thanks for good daycare🥰

Shout out to that woman, mine was not memorable, inface I almost lost my son when I was dropping him off at a home care, which made me to stop everything I was doing to stay at home for my two kids. My hubby was the only one working. Never again.

My daughter is 12 years now and she stil sucks that 2 fingers I did everything possible but not working infact I tire 😂
Same here! My daughter started sucking her two middle fingers from the womb ( saw her on ultrasound) now she’s going to be 12 and still suck her fingers when she is asleep
My baby girl always put her hand inside my tops too,I was just laughing when you mentioned that.shes 18th year now.
For me day home is the best. My daughter was in a day home and I had no issues. Guess what, my daughter is now 18+ and still in contact with her caregiver who is now retired. She even came to my daughter’s grade 12 grad last year. She was the one who taught my daughter my cell number. There was a year when her caregiver went on a month vacation in her home country and my option was to take her to a day care. Her first day at the day care, she was bitten by a kid two consecutive days and that was the end of being in that day care. We kept her home until are day home caregiver returned back to Canada.

Have been in this shoes before my daughter used to suck her thumb, she got infection from the daycare I bought lot of things oo it didn’t help but thank God for the dentist that how she stopped sucking.
God knows your intentions, prayer is the key.
lol I can relate with my first it only stopped when she started nursery at 2. Exercise of 1hour will take me 2 hours because I have a baby on my hip

It was the most difficult phase of my life because my baby was just 3 months old..
I prayed and God led me to a school Creache, the care giver is an angel in human form
She took care of my baby like her own, she helped me conquer the anxiety seperation.
My daughter goes to Creache happy everyday
She will be starting preschool in September and I must say, her nanny did a great job and we're missing her already..
To say I almost wanted to quit my job because I don't want to take her to Creache at that young age
But I'm glad God answered my prayer and sent me an angel in the form of a nanny

Once you permit a baby to suck, especially at 3 months, it becomes a great issue. Nursing baby is not a child play but it is worth the stree later. Thank God for the Day-care giver.
Please at what age did you do the bandage on her fingers to stop sucking? How long did it take before you could stop putting the bandage? Also did she wake up more overnight during this time? I started doing this today for my 11 month old and it’s working so far but I’d like an idea of how long it will take to forget sucking his fingers completely. Thank you

Sucking of finger is what i regret till now. My daughter is 13yrs plus and still sucks her hands while sleeping. Few months after she was born i was going for my exams and I saw the relief she gave me then when ever she sucked her two middle fingers. I could read for long hours without her waking up to suck breast or distracting me from reading but now hmm am regretting as we have tried so many methods to stop her but to no avail 😢. She doesn't even know she sucks her hands while sleeping until her dad took pictures of her hmmm it is well.

That is the same thing I am going through. Suckling of her finger, putting her hands in my armpit etc
