In today's video, you are going to see how to fly a Boeing 737 Circuit Training Pattern.
The Circuit training is accomplished by the student pilots that just finished the Type Rating and for the first time get the possibility to fly the real plane.
This is going to be a Flaps 5 Take-off at 400feet AGL you turn to downwind maintaining FLaps 5 speed.
Level off at 1500feet and perform the After Take-off Checklist, descend, and approach checklist.
Once abeam the landing runway start the time and once that 30 seconds have elapsed select gear down and flap 15, wait until 45'' and start the base turn, select the Landing flaps, and descend with a 500 feet/min rate of descent.
Align yourself with the runway centerline and keep the papi on your scan.
On the touchdown set approximately 60%N1, set Flap15, and the stab trim between 5 and 6 units, advance the thrust to 85% N1 and at Vref rotate to 14 degrees pitch.
Start all over again.

Great video. I have done countless touch and goes in Piper and Cessna aircraft both dual and solo. This video was so much fun watching this being done in a B 737.
Yes, I still remember the days with 8 or more take-offs and landings...😂 Thanks for watching!!
Thank you so much for this Captain! I really appreciate your hard work. I am learning in-depth about the B737-800/900 so That I can fly as professional as I can in the sim. It will be my first time flying airliners . I have even joined vUIA so that I can increase the level of professionalism while flying even more!
That's great!! You are more than welcome !!
This is a great video and easy to understand!!!!! Bravo!!!!!
Thanks for your support
Great video Captain . Now I could know everything in detail . Thanks !
Glad to read that the video helped!! You are very welcome
Super video! You use best altitude 1500 feet(airliner) and do all checklists, super 🙂
Thanks for watching
Hi Gabriel, I'd like to ask you about this procedure. Timing 30 / 45 sec is common rule procedure for CAT C AC? Or each operator could have its own timing for flying visual circuits? I'd like to be well prepared for Type Rating, so just for reassurence. Thank you very much.
Hi Lenka, nowadays is not that common, we usually fly ILSs with radar vectors, RNAV approaches or Visual.. I wish you best of luck with your Type Rating
@@PILOTCLIMB thank you very much😊
Hi buddy ...you're full of information and a good man. So helpful and kind.Thank you .
However, your efforts are not getting due credit due to your accent. People unusually exit your video after 2 mins. I understand english isnt your first language. Could you please do something about it. I can suggest getting someone else to do voiceovers.
I just don't like it,when someone's effort goes waste.
I know i sound mean but I mean well
Many thanks for your feedback
Thanks for the video
You are very welcome !!
bel video interessante! immagino che i piloti reali avranno le difficoltà maggiori dopo il touch-down e la relativa configurazione per il nuovo TO..
Sono contento ti sia piaciuto!!
11:19...you retract the flaps? I thought you were supposed to add flaps
Hello again it is a great video but I confused about something:) when you do the turn the final you flew straight at 2 point not like turning directly 180 degrees, when I fly on the xplane and I turn the final runway stays on my left so I should’ve flown a bit straight as well until I catch the final part ? What is your suggestion while turning the final ? Thank you
You are welcome! If you can make a nice 180 deg turn would be better from my point of view
It can be super cool if you do a visual traffic pattern 💕💕
great video!
Thanks for watching!
Can you make a video about why an aircraft could sideslip or slip to the air when we accidentally roll the aircraft?
Hey, thanks for watching, check the following videos:

Hi Capt brilliant video thank you. I have a question about the map diplay, how do you set the abeam point and the runway to display on the FMC thankyou sir
You are welcome!! You do that from the fix page...
@@PILOTCLIMB can you provide the steps to input the dotted line abeam the landing threshold .
Thank you Captain, great video as always, my head was exploding with the workload 🌋. This makes the Cessna 172 look easy!
You are very welcome!!! I still remember the c172 circuits...the best!
Awesome Capt
Thanks for watching!
Great job, Sir. Thank you !!! Just one question: Are you alowed in real life to set reference points in FMC, as runway extention line and green RW treshold line, or you should to perfom any maneuvers visually without any look on navigation display ?
You are allow, no problem!! Thanks for watching
@@PILOTCLIMB Many thanks for the reply ;)
Whats the power setting , whats the pitch ? Why turn at 400 ?
Hello captain! Great video as always!
I had a question about the approach, I've seen from pilot reviews from the current assesment that I'm going to attend, they were doing an approach in Kuwait, they followed an NPA and they ended up too high and the reason they said because it was too hot. They had a similar issue when approaching in to Budapest because it was too cold. Is there a way in 737 to get the appropriate VS required to stay on the glide with extreme temperatures?
You can add the temperature correction on the FMC, that helps a bit.. than when you are visual I suggest to follow the papis. Goof luck with your assessment
@@PILOTCLIMB thank you captain!
