I have this headset and i personally really like them. No echoing or crackling, and everything sounds pretty clear. He is right about the comfort as well, it fits comfortably, no slipping or sliding down on ur head. My friends that i play with say i sound really clear to them also. If i had to rate this headset, i would give it about a 7 to 8 out of 10. Considering they are better than the other few headsets i have owned.
So why are you giving it only 7 or 8 out of 10? It does everything you want. It's comfortable. Why not call it 10 outta 10? Don't compare it to other headsets because it's not. Just rate the one you have with a legit score
FIRST ENGLICH REVIEV OF ALPHAS THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!
_GroX _ 😂 i know plus English title gamer geek did the same and even their name is in English 😑
Martin Duprey sorrry sorry bro my mistake NOT englisch but englich SORRY SORRY
Martin Duprey u think alphas are better???
_GroX _ netter than what ? I had the cloud pros they do the job but sound muddy needs a mix amp sound card or dac which ever to help my sons beats do the same thing I had turtle beach xo seven with the adapter which does mic monitoring and has eq peresets but plastic lasted 5 months side shots sound directly in your ear want a headset like that but which one.

5:39 minus heart :D
I've tried them all, these are by far the best!
Have you tried the Razer BlackShark V2?
@@TexasIronLegend yup, hyperx cloud the best.
@@kylemc8851 so the HyperX does have spatialization capabilities correct? Like you’ll be able to hear enemy footsteps above, below, in front, behind, and to the sides of your character?
@@TexasIronLegend correct
@@kylemc8851 alright thank you, people on Reddit weren’t able to answer that one simple question. They just kept bringing up how I was comparing this headset to the USB type BlackShark V2 even though the V2 also has the 3.5 mm analog (the USB is optional).
I love how he just sounds like a jerk but isn’t
End of the day, HyperX makes good peripherals that get the job done very nicely. In this case a headset that is comfy, well built, has good sound and a decent mic.
aye I had to look around for quite some time for decent affordable headset. I'm not much of an audio expert but I do prefer cleaner audio more than perhaps your average "only play games on m" type person. After a day of searching around I came across the hyper x cloud (1) which ive been using ever since and they're still really confortable no issues.
Sir Delta the cloud 1s are very good
one of the best built in mics i've heared ... sounds nice and neutral
colin p the sorry for the late comment, but the Logitech g pro x has a much better mic in my opinion
Hey, that was a really good watch !
Sound quality and low price were definitely the reason I chose this product over others. You definitely reassured me further about these claims being legitimate ^^'
Also, although I really don't care about the mic quality, I did not even think of the fact that it being detachable means you can plug a better one in its stead !
The headphones will be delivered to my home tomorrow, I'm now way more hyped than I was while ordering them; thanks a lot for that !
This will definitely be a huge change coming from 5 years of using a mediocre old version of a Razer Kraken (please don't judge me, it was a christmas gift from my dad)
So glad there is a review on release date Im on lunch break and couldnt wait to get to gamestop today.
Sherri still at work dkny have yhem yet buy my cloud pros are also muddy need a amp dac siund card etc
my turtle beach xo7 were great but plastic = crap.
I dont know why but, when he played with the mic, I laughed my balls off :D
my hyper x cloud is already 3 years old. still amazed how this was only 45 bucks.
frieddayfriday 45? Where? Its for like 80 on amazon
I bought my clouds for like 60$ on Amazon a long time ago. Such a great pair of cans.
Kanyime damn
got it on sale 3 years ago. i think regular price was around 60. im not sure.
I bought the stingers and these are really good but I might want to get the alphas since the build is way better
I just got the headset, i noticed it kinda boosts the lower sounds more (compared to my old logitech headset) it really took me a day or 2 to get used to it..
Mic Test at 5:43
Thanks! Love the audio stuff reviews from you
I love my cloud II's. Best headset I've ever bought. Plus I got a free copy of Rainbow Six Siege.
Hi everyone! He does not explain how to make these loud I will explain everyone’s issues!!
Plug the extension into your tv. There should be a hole specifically for headphones on the back on your tv or side if you have a flat screen. I have a smart tv. Connect the extension to the headphones and play😊
For playing with your remote/microphone make sure its actually plugged in correctly into your headset. I didn’t push it all the way through and I couldn’t hear the full potential!I was playing gta.
Turn up the volume by holding Home on the remote and going into the settings. That’s as far as it goes. To get the very best sound plug it into your tv. If you want to use your mic, plug into your remote 😁
Thanks!
One thing I wish reviewers would mention about this headset is that a lot of people has had problems with crosstalk/audio leakage with these, myself included. Especially when I watch movies on Discord, my friends can hear the audio from my microphone.
did you ever end up finding a solution for this issue? i struggled with this, and then my mic broke. looking to buy a new mic, but if this issue can be resolved i'll just buy a replacement for the original
@@greenthi did YOU ever find a solution? i've got the same problem
@@skrn9935 i ended up buying a vmoda boompro. it works pretty okay, crosstalk happened less often but i would have to put the mic pretty close to my mouth to be heard properly so sometimes it would pick up breathing.
out of the 2 boompros i bought (one as a replacement, cat broke the first) both the mics work well but oddly enough one of them won’t properly play audio through the headphones. unsure if it’s general incompatibility with the models or just a faulty product.
When i think about it, you were impressed with original clouds too I think. But these are better you say? I have them and Im impressed :) Your review helped a lot with choise.
This review was excellent!!! I love how fast you got to the important stuff and gave really concise and accurate descriptions. Thank you so much for creating a valuable video so well. Cheers!
You have been very helpful and I thank you for it a LOT
Damn this guys is still around? I remember seeing a video of hes when i was buying an Nvidia 8800 GTS in like 2008
well, how does it sound plugged into the board? This doesnt seem like the market for sub 100 headphones. If i buy a $250 DAC to begin with, i dont think i wanna make compromised with the cans. Might as well go mod mic
well you could try them on a motherboard, but then the limiting factor is the dac on that and it's only really indicative for motherboards with that dac - at least with a decent external dac you're taking that variable out of the equation and just getting the maximum potential for the cans.
tl;dr - if you use motherboard sound then the question becomes "how good is your motherboard dac" and not "how good are the headphones"
IMO anyway.
Sure, and im not saying dont test it on the dac, but do iton the Mobo too cause thats where the target audience is likely plugging it into
well which motherboard? different motherboards have different dacs and you know if he tests it on an ALC1120 or something someone with a low end ALC887 or something will reply "well you said it was goof on motherboards so why does it sound shit logan is a shill etc etc"
My review is live at legitreviews. I provide samples of the mic across a regular input on a Katana and used onboard audio for listening tests.
@seanOMatic... Thanks for your review. Very helpful.
Sweet! I am a big fan of Cloud 2s for the same reasons (doesn't break the bank, sounds decent, good build quality, comfort), so I am following this line closely. I'm glad they went back to this design rather than the Cloud revolver. They departed quite emphatically from the cloud formula and it kinda bit them. Very glad to see this is more an evolution from the original Cloud(1/2), and a possible candidate if mine ever give up the ghost (2.5 year report, all I have to say is that the padding right underneath the top of the headband has started peeling, but otherwise still in excellent condition). Thanks for the review!
I came for the headset review and left wanting that portrait of Skeletor
vanilla XD 6:01, btw I bought this headset before seeing u had a review, im glad u recommended it!
great review man !
"built poorly"lol. ok
Yes
Is it worth getting this now in 2021 ?
@@baconsauce32 absolutely. Mine is a UNIT and has taken a beating.
@@Stalonage Tysm man will get mine on the 27th 🙏🏻
@@baconsauce32 of course! I’ve talked a few friends into getting them and they also like them :).
Tek Syndicate, I know you previously reviewed the original Clouds; concerning sound, which are better in your opinion. I have the Clouds and love them, but if the Alpha's are that much better, then I'll pick them up. Thanks!
Just got a cloud II LAST WEEK
I would also like to know
Will Sterricker see comment I made before this please
legit just got these, im no audiophile but damn these sound amazing!
Max Payne 2000. My childhood game! 90s kid here.
i just bought a pair of clould 2
True
Don't feel bad those are a badass headset.
I've had a pair for a couple months now and it's probably the best headset i've owned yet for gaming.
cloud 2 are still best overall headset out there for 100 bucks because alpha doesnt come with velor ear pads nor discrete sound card, so they are pointless for anyone rly; any decent sound card and(or) ear pads are the hidden cost for any Cloud alpha buyer
I'm gonna get myself tomorrow the cloud 1's
I can't buy this one yet in Europe, should I wait for when this one releases (not known when yet) or get the cloud II?
Still happy with my cloud revolvers. Honestly think that Hyper X is pretty underrated in the peripherals space
5:42 for mic test
This is the best review by far on this headset👍
How do these compare to a pair of Cb-1s with a Vmoda mic? In terms of sound quality for gaming
5:43 mic test
This is the sucessor of the cloud 2 i was waiting for.
These are nice Logan!
Are these good with the PS4?
Do these work well with the ps4?
Whats a good amp to pair these with??
Dude me watching this video in the same headset just laughing
All I know is this headphone shines when I listen to my movies and music. I just love the sound profile of these over my Ang q701. I just got the Status Audio cb1 and was falling in love with these before I got the Hyperx cloud alpha. But the Hyperx cloud alpha are so much more pleasing then the cb-1.
Long time since your comment, but right now I am debating between the alpha and the cb1, have you used both listening to music on tidal? I would like to know how they sound with high definition music. Any advice on this, I would really appreciate it.
@@AlEstiloDelCielo I do not use the cb1 or cloud alpha anymore. I do not remember what tbe cloud alpha sounded like. I remember the cb1 had more bass then the alpha. I use the AKG Q701 now. This headphone sound much better then those two headphones. That's all i can say.
doesnt you end with a extremely long cable to put the two 3.5mm jack for the mic and the headphones? you have to kinda put 2 of the logn cables togheter?
Love my super lux headphones. It will take those headphone disintegrating before I give them up.
I've been using the Tritton Pro+ headset (boooo, I know) for a few years now and was thinking of upgrading to the Clouds Alphas. Is this going to be an upgrade? My main worry is that the Clouds are 3.5mm stereo and the Trittons used the optical output from the consoles. Surely the Trittons are going to sound better as a result?
how would you compare cloud alpha to the cougar immersa pro? I'm trying to finalize this but can't decide. which headset would you buy and why?
one thing to note and i know this is like a year later but if you wear them over and over again the clamping factor will lessen as it does with all headsets or headphones ive used so after a few weeks it will lessen most likely.. probably
Can you change the earpads on the alphas like the one on the cloud I and II's?
Can a PS4 controller fully power these on when plugged in?
I using this for play pubg console ...very detail sound
with the filters on obs this would sound brilliant
Can anyone tell
Me if i use 7.1 sound card with alpha will it give better performance
These or Astro A10?
Miro I Just bought the Alpha's and It has a better sound in general... I'm F*cking in love!!!
The sound is so crisp and clear that almost has a natural 7.1 emulation!
Yuri Sonnengruber ok. Which one has better mic
Miro Both have decent mics, but the Alpha's feels more clear to my ears and the astros feels a little bit louder !
Astro way better
Yuri Sonnengruber are u on ps4?
HyperX Cloud Alpha or Superlux HD668B w/ Modmic? Which should I go for?
good question
Who else is watching this wearing hyper x cloud alphas lol
same
my mic won't work and just bought them :( anyone know how to fix it
I'm getting mine soon
@@luisjurado2055 i just bought another one
Fez On Osu! I fixed mine :)
When i plug the mic i can hear things perfectly fine but the mic dosent work at all can anyone help me
i was thinking about getting the schiit fulla 3 to put with these headphones for gaming is the fulla 3 a worthy purchase or wont it make that much difference?
I had the Xbox headset that cost $60 for 3 years and they finally broke. Picked up the alphas today and can’t wait to use them when I get off work. Just hoping they were worth the money.
Victor Hernandez HOW ARE THEY? SOUND QUALITY??
I have just opened the box, have alphas from GF as a holiday gift. Replacement for my 5 years old Logitech G230 with realy killed earpads. I must say, Logi's had great sound for it's price, but in these .... it sounds much richer in all sound sources. Logi has much punchier bass, but when i can compare it straight to alphas, bass here is not as powerfull, but more cleaner and softer with no limitation for other sound that you can hear (especialy in music, where you can better recognize difference between lows and highs. They are a bit heavyer than all palstic Logis, but nothing cracking insiode of them when u move your head, minimum of artifical sound from cable scratching your shirt and pads are realy supersmooth. Especialy on top of my head, where pad on Logi was to narrow, and after some time I felt it on my head, not on Alphas. Mis is way way way better. Overal ... I'm not as audiophil as Tec, so I can't say, if aditional 50$ difference is that big deal , because i will play with smile with every tools that will be on table :D .... but If you will try to listen Ennio Morricone on these and on regularbudget gaming headset, here you will deffinitely hear difference and tried only Fortnite and Paragon until now, but I can say, if you are ready to spend that amount on headset, I can only reccomend it.
Did u guys ever do a video on Sennheiser GSP 300 ??
Just wanna know that's all.
is the mic recording the Gamesounds too or did you fill them in couse in the past ive got some headsets that records the gamesound pls answer
what mic do you use
Dual chambers with a side of bacon and cheese. Epic.
it makes all the much difference when you have these headphones connected via logitech usb soundcard (or similar) so you have more control over the equaliser, treble and bass. (not that i had adjust anything to begin with) but your PC will think you're (still) using a logitech brand headset, lol.
my microphone stops working randomly while im talking and when i try to move it or something it stops working, i have hyperx cloud alpha on windows 10.
What switches do you have?
Cloud 2 or alphas and why i need a headset for streaming so a good mic and good sound too whic one is better and why help me please lol ty
After 2 years no one answered, go for alpha man.
Yo how is the mic? Is the mic good?
just got these. I was disappointed with the amount of bass they lack. Do you think they would benefit from an amp or would a modern motherboard's sound card be good enough?
I have a problem with mine. I think I needed an adapter, so I bought a 3.55 mm jack and it's still not working. The quality of the sound is poor (with the adapter) and the mic STILL does not work. I use the extension cord and I'm not sure which adapter to use. Any suggestions?
my mic is absolutely quiet. dont know how to fix it also have the cloud alpha...
Been using Sennheiser pc 360 G4ME for years, still enjoying the experience, although i do sometimes wonder what kind of difference the other headset/headphones got around the same price range.
Love my cloud alphas
Should I spend the extra for a Beyerdynamic dt990 pro or should I get these, I would use them for gaming.
Hey, I bought this headset and the headset is working perfectly fine but somehow my laptop does not detect the microphone. Do you know what the issue is?
U face the problem of crosstalk ?
*5:50** what is that pls and thank u*
does a headphone splitter come with it?
Does it work with external USB Microphones? Because the other Hyper X Headset makes some problems with external USB microphones.
I just bought Cloud Alpha yesterday and it has marginally good quality sound cause i tested Cloud II too in a tech market. But I have little cons about Alpha, it has a clamp force on just bottom of my ear and jaws. It is of pressure a lil bit and that makes me feel uncomfortable. I cant be sure it goes off ? Cloud II had more comfort. Will it go off ?
Do they sound better than the superlux hd 688b?
Just ordered them with a 30% discount, can't wait. Got some steelseries right now and the plastic broke on both sides within the first 2 months, shouldn't happen with these.
Lmao dude, my steelseries broke in both sides too! Im thinking about alphas. how are they?
They're great for me, not had any problems yet, music sounds amazing, they feel amazing and my friends say the mic sounds a lot better. No problems yet, I definitely recommend. The bass is great compared to my old steelseries imo and I have no worries of the metal breaking :D
Ziaria Have you had any problem related to crosstalk? I was going to buy these but I want to be sure before there isn't any problem.
@@diegovespa3383 YO IS THERE ANY CROSSTALK ISSUES??
Do the alphas have different volume knobs or sets? Like the PlayStation headphones do?
Can someone help me? I'm choosing between the two HyperX Cloud Alpha and HyperX Cloud II
I have this board ASUS EX-H110M V do u suggest I get HyperX Cloud Alpha using my motherboard audio jack
or you suggest I get the HyperX Cloud II which has a soundcard included on it ? which would sound better thank you esp in PUBG I can't track where the footsteps or gunshots are coming from. :)
My audio broke after one day, and all my friends complain about the echoing, any solutions?
hi, can you help choosing between sennheiser game one and the new hyperx cloud alpha, or there´s somehing better at that price?
I already have cloud core and a mix amp, it worth the upgrade?
LicKevin Burboa senhizer has a better mic but its ogly and dosent do a god job with mucik and sckoll son alpha for life
hey where can i get my hyper X ckoud alphas aux cable .. noone of them in market suits it coz of the extra lenghth in plugin side
Do I get this or the Kraken 7.1 v2? They're both discounted to 70 Euros for black friday atm and I'm having trouble choosing lol
Does the mic work with the connector that doesnt have the two ends one for the mic and other for sound?
I’m just wondering, is this headset good for singing?
I ain’t no singer, but to record your voice if that’s what you mean you probably need a better mix such as an XLR mic or even a really good usb one would work
no headset in the universe is "good for singing"...
ammm i have this headset for some time and im trying to record but my voice a buzz in it eve when i muted or plug out the mic from it can some1 help plz?
does any of the hyperx headsets allow you to turn down incoming chat audio and sound audio seperate like the sony ps gold wireless ?
I have recently bought the clouds 2 and with the toggle control panel , you can't control chat and sound like the PS golds . But I did buy Astro mixamp pro TR , and you can control it when connect to the amp . Sound is clearer, louder and amazing .
So do these sound better then the stingers? You've probably already answered this but I dont wanna read all the comments.
Bought the Alpha today, I prefer the Cloud II's tbh, blocks out more sound, and some music sounds off somehow.
is it 7.1?
KssarPlayz no
i was going to get a pair of Turtle Beach for my PS4, but i say these on sale for 100$ CDN at Staples and i don't regret this buy at all.
StormtrooperYD do they work with the ps4 plugged into the controller?
they do, i can't comment on team speak yet because EA didn't think a game like BF2 required it(idiots)
How can I reduce the bass? It doesnt help at pubg.. when u try to locate footsteps and gunshots are involved.
Do they sound good on mobile
what kind of mobile do you have?
are the controls on the 3.5 mm cable and do they work with PC
they work on all platforms and the controls, no clue
my hyperx is working only in one side who can i fix this? and if i use the 7.1 surround sound it gonna fix?
I need help everytime when I play games everybody say that they can hear my game so pls help
Sry for my english
I had same problem on xbox one. Asked hyperx customer support, they told me to press xbox button to get the menu up. Then press RB until you are on the far right menu(make sure headset is plugged into the controller otherwise the option for Audio won't appear). Then select "Audio" and then you can adjust the game sound from that menu. Set the main volume to about two thirds and this should cure it. It worked me. Most people have that volume set max and it creates the problem you have. If you're on PS4 try the same but I do not know where the sound options are on PS4 so you'll have to find them yourself. Hope this helps, just keep reducing that volume until your friends can't hear your game sound. Then use the inline volume to turn up your game sound to compensate for the volume you lost by turning down the sound in the xbox menu.
The same happens to me, but in pc, any solution? I’ve already tried modifying sensitivity
@@DavidRodriguez-yf1df I fixed it somehow but I dont know how in what games do you have that issues
ProMix_ YT in all games i play, usually shooters. when there’s a loud sound like explosions, guns, etc, my friends can hear it.
