It's very hot and very humid, and most of the cars are not in climate controlled storage. It is said to be a 5 billion dollar grave yard...
yeah cause everyone wants to interview a slave driving madman who trafficks women. in the last several years hes gone hardline muslim and wants to start stoning people for having sex out of wedlock.
I actually knew of 3 of these cars thanks to video games! The Cizeta *and* the Cadillac Cien were featured in Gran Turismo 4, which I played to death as a kid, and the Nissan R390 is notably in Forza Horizon 5. Notably, the Cien could be won in GT4 pretty early on, and was a super overpowered car in the early stages. In my first playthrough, I drove that thing almost exclusively, it was a monster.
The Cadillac Cien was a great mention. The car was so futuristic at the time they used it in the movie “The Island”. It was also in some racing games along with some of these others back in the early 2000’s. Super cool car.
Doug, the Cadillac Cien was actually produced. GM made three of them. They were featured in the movie "The Island" starring Ewan McGregor & Scarlett Johansson. The V12, and two versions with a V8, one manual transmission, one automatic. In the commentary for the film, Ewan even goes in depth as to how cautious everyone on set had to be around the car & yes, he did drive one of the three...though he never states which version. GM went so far as to accept deposits for the car (I should know as my father put down a deposit & still has the deposit paperwork somewhere. If I find it, I'll email to you). A interesting sidenote to all this, GM kept all three at their Detroit facility where they stored many of the important & unique cars. About 5 years after being stored GM wanted to show them...and one of them, the V8 manual transmission was missing. To date, it has never been found or seen.
Not only had I heard of 9 out of the 10 cars on the list (I'm sad) - I've actually been in one! My Dad worked for the Australian Lamborghini importer at the time the Silhouette was made and they imported at least one into Australia. I remember being in the passenger seat when Dad drove it in to go on display at the Sydney Motor Show.
Cizeta Moroder V16T was also connected with Sammy Hagar and Edward Van Halen since their Italian car mechanic, Zampoli was one of the guys responsible for the car. At the time the car was revealed, the designer Gandini said that this was what he envisioned for the Diablo, but Chrysler (then owner of Lamborghini) watered down his design to the softer Diablo.
Of course we never hear of them. Were any of these ever sold in the US when new? How about 10 super cars we never heard of that were actually sold in the US when new.
@@robertlian2009 Why would that be a criteria for a car enthusiast? It doesn't matter at all where or even if an unusual car was sold. If you're actually into cars, you've heard of most of these.
Just looking at this comment section, it's obvious that the ME Four Twelve isn't a supercar that "nobody has heard of". In fact, anybody who is into supercars is almost certainly aware of it. It was pretty big news at the time, and Motor Trend even got to drive it at Laguna Seca. But there was never really any hope of it actually going to production. It would have cost something like a billion dollars in development work to get it production-ready, just to sell a few hundred cars. Their German overlords were also not exactly thrilled that Chrysler was building a better car than anything Mercedes or AMG could come up with. I'm guessing they weren't exactly overjoyed that SRT took the best engine AMG had and re-engineered it to make it better. Even if it had made economic sense to build this car and sell it as a Chrysler (and it absolutely did not), it seems unlikely that it would have actually happened because of the internal politics, and Mercedes not willing to be outdone by Chrysler. And so the company that designed and actually built what would have likely been the greatest supercar of its era in 2004 will go into 2024 selling the 4th best of the 4 minivans on the market in North America.
@@megachonk9440 yeah I've heard of the ME412 and its incredible performance, but I didn't know why it was cancelled as a project. The Daimler connection makes sense, but it's disappointing that it got in the way of this noteworthy supercar
Fun fact, the R390 has been codeveloped by Nissan and... TWR ! The same ones who helped Jaguar to produce the XJR15 that Doug presented a few months ago. The R390 is directly inspired by the Jaguar that had just retired from the 24h of Le Mans after many successes in the 80's and early 90's.
Even funnier fact - the rights to the engine from Nissan R390 (VRH35) was purchased by McLaren from TWR and is currently used in everything from the 12C to the 720S
No wonder it looks so amazing! I have always loved TWR's for their styling. Horrific running gear, but just gorgeous. With a Nissan engine and trans, it would be perfect!
i love all the Cadillac concepts, the Cien and Sixteen, but the concept i love the most was the line up introduced in the 2010s, the Ciel (convertible), El Miraj (coupe), and Escala (sedan), i hope they can put those into production, i'll kill to buy one of it
Another car i feel like should be on this list is the Ford GT-90. It was a concept car, meant to be the spiritual successor to the original GT-40, that never went into full production but one model was made for show in 1995. It has a quad turbo V-12 which is crazy to think about coming from Ford especially in the 90's and is currently on display in Oklahoma. There's at least one video online that I know of showing the car running with its proper drivetrain and it sounds phenomenal. (there was a top gear episode featuring it but the engine wasn't properly set up for the road test and didn't have the turbos hooked up)
Was about to mention those, along with the Maybach Coupe (excelero?) and the Yamaha super car they designed and built but ultimately killed. Funny how the Sultan is the reason for most of them in the 90s
Another interesting supercar is the Venturi Atlantique. It was made of fiberglass and had a mid-engine V6. There were also the East German Melkus sportscars, the Czech MTX Tatra V8, and the Russian Marussia supercars.
I remember the Cien from Midnight Club 3! I think it was one of the most powerful cars in the whole game, but I never knew how many HPs it actually produced. Back then over 700 was a crazy outlandish number!
Got to see the Cien (as well as the Cyclone, LeMans and Sixteen concepts ) at the Gilmore museum in Michigan in 2021. It was surreal having both the Cien and Sixteen in front of me, as I LOVED both of them as a kid in Midnight Club 3. The door is power operated (at least the passenger one is. The handlers from the GM Heritage center overlooking the concepts were getting in and out from the passenger side), and it sounds like a real hot rod. Runs and drives just fine around the museum campus. I should upload the videos I have of the concepts.
Damn, the Sixteen is one of my favorite cars of all time, at least in the design department. Too bad that it never came out, Cadillac could try it now as an eletric car, its design is awsome.
The Aixam micro cars weren’t electric, but instead had like a 400-500cc twin cylinder engine. In Finland you used to be able to drive them with a moped license (50cc bikes), which you can get at the age of 15 (vs 18 for a regular driver’s license).
Yep, p much the same across the EU. Afaik here in Portugal (in Spain and France as well), you could drive these with a 50cc license which you could have by the time you were like 15 or 16.
The Cadillac Cien is so amazing. It actually has a great amount of screen time in Michael bay’s the island. Ewan McGregor get to hoon that thing around Los Angeles a bit and it’s awesome. Between that and the Chrysler me412, we could have had such an incredible era of American HyperCars…
@@JasonStaffordMaccadam Like Doug said, it still looks pretty modern. Put some modern LED lights on it and update some of the styling cues to look more like the CT4 and CT5, and it would be perfect to rebody the C8 E-Ray with.
I remember the Cizeta Moroder V16 making into the cover of popular car magazines back then. It was the actual design that Countach designer Marcello Gandini had for the new Lamborghini Diablo. When the latter "watered down" his radical design to suit new owner wishes, which was Chrysler, he turned to CZ & Moroder to make his envisioned dream come true: The V16T. It also had another major quirkiness: That massive engine is mounted transversely and the output shaft draws from the middle of the conjoined V8 blocks that comprises it.
I remember reading a lot about about it in Car magazine as a kid, more recently there were news stories about 1 of the built cars being seized as it was a UK registered one that had been imported to the US on a temporary import (it was at the time under 25 years old) to have work done on it, and they kept it beyond the time limit (i believe it was Zamopli himself that had imported it)
@@jtreut I've seen one in person. i went to a cars and coffee at canepa a couple of years ago, and there was one there. they actually started it up, too. it's bizarre looking in person
I've seen the Monaco-based Aixam-Mega Track you mention, Doug, and it staggered me by how enormous it was. I love the idea of a huge go-anywhere off road super-coupe with a Mercedes V12 (if it's from the S600, then it's the engine that would end up in the first few 6.0-litre Pagani Zondas and it sounds AMAZING with the right exhaust on it). And then, while snooping around Monaco on a day trip, I also saw an Italdesign Aztec parked discreetly in an underground car park. I had thought they only ever made one, so I was stunned to find it. Even then, until seeing this video I thought there were only four or five - I had no idea there were as many as 18 to 20. Because of the alphabetical list, I'd expected the final car to be the amazing Yamaha OX99-11 (and was slightly disappointed that it wasn't!) Another very obscure but incredibly cool car which I really wish had been made.
Bristol Fighter Panther Solo Venturi 400 GT HTT Plethore MG XPower SV Panther Solo Gillet Vertigo Lister Storm De Tomaso Guara Great Video Doug, hopefully you do a second installment. So many more obscure/forgotten/unknown supercars out there. Some im surprised weren't on your list over some that where.
@@mortensenvick5711 yeah, I used to read a lot of car magazines and Stuff magazine, and play a lot of Gran Turismo 4...so I heard of most of these too. They sure are rare though.
there are a fu*k ton of unknow car brands and constructors, especially in Europe and latin America, I remember I met a guy who still run a small car company, it used to be called Faralli&Mazzanti now is just Mazzanti Cars. they still produce a car named Evantra that is Pagani level of details, literally there is leather even in the engine bay. I also met a Venturi 400, Alpine A310 and a 3 seats Matra Bagheera in my life, cool cars.
Giorgio Moroder was the winner of 3 Academy Awards, 4 Grammy, 2 People's Choice awards. Basically all of Donna Summer's mega disco hits were written and produced by him. Giorgio's personal Cizeta-Moroder was auctioned at RMSotheby's Jan 2022 and fetched $1,235,000 USD - pre buyer's fees; It was Claudio Zampolli connected Eddie Van Halen and Sammy Hagar. Pretty cool car and its over all story.
I always loved the Cadillac Cien. I remember seeing it gran Turismo back on the PS2 and loving it. And it's so bizarre because the more and more I see car companies having thinner headlights and tail lights, it always reminds me of this car. 100% agree it still looks incredible to this day.
The design of the Cizeta was disapproved design for the Countach successor. Marcello Gandini finished the design and made the Diablo. The original design was bought by Moroder for his supercar. That’s why the Moroder V16 looks so much like the Diablo. Specially the front.
If I recall, the Cizeta's design came from an early Diablo concept that Lambo turned down, so Claudio, in traditional Italian spite, decided to make his own car with that styling
Venturi Atlantique 400GT is another good choice; beautiful French-made front-mid engined supercar with a twin turbo V6, looked like a slightly more modern Ferrari F40. Saw one in a parking garage in Munich back in 2002 and took me 15 years to figure out what it was.
You got me curious with your F40 mention (my favorite car). Just did a Google search images of the Venturi Atlantique 400 GT... Wow! I had no idea! Amazing design!!!
I knew the Cizeta thanks to GT4 and 5, the Silhouette I knew thanks to watching a history on old Lamborghini cars, the R390 I know thanks to GT3 for winning either an event in Professional or Endurance race in Simulation mode, the Vector M12 knew thanks to GTA3 and LCS since some influence was used for the Infernus for these games, and the Cadillac Cien I knew thanks to Midnight Club 3 since it’s the first Exotic car to get after you win the tournament in Detroit another supercar that he should have added on would be the Chrysler ME 4-12
That Aixam Mega Track was WAY AHEAD of it's time, with companies like Lamborghini, Porsche and Morgan making offroad-able sports cars(Huracan Sterrato, 911 Dakar, Plus 4 C-XT) and with performance SUVs, this thing was a Genesis moment for a class of go fast anywhere supercars, what a MONSTER.
Huracan Steratto, was made inspired by many older prototypes (first was made by Giugiaro called Pininfarina Parcour that latter was restyled for Audi as Nanuk quattro that declined to build it and in 2019 was again presented as Kangaroo Hypercross-UV) but Doug also missed Isdera Comendattore, Bugatti had few secret prototypes Galibier, Atlantic & last one Bugatti Edonis created by the engineer that was working to many Ferrari -Nikola Matterazzi (RIP), Devel 16 a car made in UAE that has a second facelift, also latest supercar comes from Afganisthan called Mada 9 .. In motorsport all Rally Group-S were secret cars : Audi Sport Quattro RS 002, Lancia ECV1 & ECV2, Ford RS200 S, Toyota 222D, Peugeot 405 Ti - Quasar, Opel Kadett RS 4X4, Seat Ibiza Bimoto, Mazda RX7S, Mitsubishi Starion 4WD-S, Lada Samara EVO and Australian (Giocatollo made from 1986 to 1989)
What an interesting list! I’ve seen a Cizeta-Moroder V16T at the La Jolla Concours in California, and a placard described the details well. Fun fact: the “T” means transverse, since the V16 is mounted sideways as seen at 5:38. The power takeoff to the transaxle is from the CENTER of the engine (splitting it into two V8s), not the end of the crankshaft. Bizarre…
Can't wait for the SHO review! The Lamborghini Silhouette looks pretty cool too. I can see a little bit of a Countach in the back a bit, and the rest going up kind of reminds me of the Jalpa and a Miura. The Cian is one of my favorite Concept Cars. It was too bad it was never brought into production.
I've known 3 of these cars in the list just because of Gran Turismo 4: Cizeta V16T, R390, and Cadillac Cien. I even hated the fact that you could win the Cadillac Cien (or obtain the Volkswagen W12 Nardo) but you can't use it in races that is restricted for production cars only (e.x. Supercar Championship in professional hall).
There's just something incredibly wrong to my brain as I know them all 🤔 But wait, there's more: the Ascari KZ1, the Bristol Fighter (love this one), the F4/5, the Sesto Elemento, the 33 Stradale, the Zenvo, the Lykan, the Veneno and the Maybach "Jay-Z" Exelero. Make more of this type videos for the sheer joy of ours
The Cizeta, the R390 and the Cien were in Gran Turismo 4 and the M12 was in Gran Turismo 2. The Cien was in Midnight Club 3 too, that's why I know them.
YES! I'm glad someone else also remembered them from those games! The only decent one of those to actually race was the R390 though (because of the Japanese bias)... although the M12 had a pretty wicked top speed on the GT2 test track, if I recall. The Cizeta handled poorly, and the Cien had to be won because it was a concept car...and was no match for the Ford GT90 concept car...which was pretty sick.
For part 2 I suggest the - Gigliato Aerosa - Lotec C1000 / Sirius - Tommy Kaira ZZ - Yamaha OX99-11 - MCA Centenaire - Venturi Fétish - Spectre R42 And why not trhrow in a Koenig Competition Evolution 🤪👍
It would have been cool to include or talk about the Vector W2, the original copy/prototype of the W8. According to wiki, they ran an absolute monster amount of miles of testing before getting the W8 into production. The W2 was even featured in a NES game "Formula 1: Built to win"! :)
A few that I would include in my list that weren't in Doug's: Italdesign Nazca C2 Chrysler ME Four-Twelve Isdera Commendatore 112i Volkswagen W12 Nardò Ford Indigo Ford GT90 These were some memorable cars from games I used to play, iykyk
You want weird? I'll give you weird. The Isdera Commendatore 112i is DEFINITELY a weird one that the vast majority of people are ignorant of. ... Unless you grew up on NFS2
Correction about the Aixam Mega: the company Aixam is still very much around and their cars are not electric but thermal (I think they use 50cc engines). As for Mega, IIRC they're a subbrand of Aixam and not a separate company, which they created to do other stuff than 50cc cars.
An unknown supercar i really like is the Rossin-Bertin Vorax, a brazilian supercar that looks gorgeous and has the same V10 from the BMW M5 E60, but making around 570 hp. I think only one was produced, and sadly it's abandoned in some garage in São Paulo. You should check it out online, it's pretty interesting.
I'm not sure if I should be proud or concerned about the fact that I knew about all of these, even though I did not know a lot about the F90 and the XJ220 Pininfarina beforehand. It would be cool if you made a video about more prototypes, one-offs and concept cars like the Cien. For that list I would suggest the Volkswagen W12 Nardo, the Mercedes C111 and C112, the Isdera Imperator and the Giugiaro Parcour Edit: I'd also like to submit the Covini C6W, Spada Codatronca and Tramontana R for a part 2 of this video

The Vector M12 was on the cover of Road and Track magazine in 1996. Not many would remember or know that, but I do. Probably one of only 2 or 3 that subscribe to Doug would know that.

The Mega Track is one of the coolest supercars I HAVE heard of and I wish somebody would make another car like it. Shame about the tires that basically don't exist anymore.

Chrysler ME 4-12, Spyker C12 Laturbie, Maybach Exelero, MG X Power SVR, Brabus Bullit, RUF CTR3. I wanted to say the McLaren tuned Dodge ACR Viper Diamondback, but I’m sure most people are aware of that one.
I loved that Nissan in gran tourismo. Other odd super cars that come to mind are the Panther solo gumpert apollo Nazca c2 And the Caparo t1 I do think a vid of the concept cars that never were would be neat like the Cien gt90 me412 VW nardo etc.
If the Cizeta is in the list, you should check out those: Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 - in my opinion with elements of Ferrari F50 Spiess TC522 - very cool, for me a teaser for what then became the Koenigsegg CCX Last, but not least: Isdera Commendatore 112i - crazy techy and progressive back in the 90‘s, think you can see elements of it in Gordon Murray‘s T33 Cheers
I'd heard of 4 or 5 cars on the list, but it was still nice to include them. I'd always wondered about the Lambo Silhouette. If you ever make a part II video, I wouldn't mind seeing the Sbarro Challenge (odd Swiss "supercar") as well as a few from Aston Martin. Namely the Bulldog and the Victor (both one-offs) as well as the late-80s V8 Zagato - one of the ugliest Astons, yet touted at the time as a potential candidate for the "fastest production car." I'm guessing that never came to be as the car appears to have largely faded from history.
Doug should make a Part 2 for this. I was waiting for him to mention the Lamborghini Cala by Italdesign or the Citroen GT. Also I have so many childhood memories of the Cadillac Cien, I remember it being in video games like Midnight Club 3 and Test Drive Unlimited. Very Nostalgic
One of my personal favourite supercars that no one has heard of is the RH Alurad Rhapsody (also known as the RHapsody) RH Alurad is a German wheel manufacturer which decided to create a crazy supercar during the early 90s. The car itself is based on the chassis and engine of a C4 Corvette ZR1 but tuned to ~550hp. It had an extremely smooth body designed by Scala Design resulting in a low drag coefficient which helped it reach a claimed top speed of 355km/h while testing at the Nardo Ring, this would’ve made it the fastest production car of all time up until that point. The engine was later detuned to 408hp as the car suffered reliability issues. Rüdiger Höffken was the CEO of RH Alurad at this time but it later went bankrupt in 2008 and he was charged with tax evasion. RH Alurad would be revived two years later although Höffner no longer had any involvement in the company
The interesting thing about the Cizeta is that the V-16s are two V-8s (albeit with a total volume of 5.6 liters) docked longitudinally. And they stand across the body! And the 575 Zagato always reminded me the Russian Volga 3110 car. Moreover, the rear lights look like the front lights.
The Cien inclusion also made me think of the Chrysler ME four-twelve. They had it on Midnight Club Dub Edition Remix, and I always thought it was cool.
Doug is pretty much the only content creator you can trust to actually tell you 10 cars you've never heard of with a title like this, anyone else would have just listed mildly obscure cars like the Xj220, the one 77, or the Vector W8
I'm glad to say I knew all of these & the history on them! Except the mega track, had 0 clue about the history. Cool video, nice to see people take interest in learning about these forgotten cars.
My favorite childhood concept car was Ford GT90. I played NSF II back in the day and this GT90 was there. Absolutely love the car. Really sad that the car never went on production.
I'd love to see a "10 Concept Cars that didnt get produced" episode. For me: 1 Buick Avista 2 Cadillac Ciel/Elmiraj 3 Chrysler Firepower 4 Cadillac Sixteen 5 Chevrolet Code 130R / Tru 140S 6 Ford GT90 7 BMW Nazca C2 8 Bentley Hunuadieres 9 Ford Interceptor 10 Mazda Shinari
I love these list from Doug but these cars are so low production some even one offs that it doesn't really count. Even today there are dozen of boutique hyper cars you have never heard of.
Fun Fact: The Cadillac Cien is seen by thousands of people EVERY DAY, some are just unaware what they are actually looking at. At gas stations, there's a popular brand of registers by the name of Verifone. The touch screen models are widely used and the software doesn't change much even when updated. When a customer picks up the nozzle and wants to fill first and then pay inside (something many stores do not do, or is reserved for well known customers) an image of a car comes up on the pump button, as the register dings to alert the attendant someone wants approval. That image is of a tiny Cadillac Cien driving up.
All fine and dandy, Doug, now let's see a second episode with Heuliez Pregunta and the Monteverdi HAIs, the 962 conversions and the Lotecs of the world :)
If your gonna talk about a prototype super car, then you gotta mention the Chrysler supercar, if you played midnight club dub edition you know what I’m talking about
The car in the thumbnail i thought it was some random art of a car that didn't exist from some 2000s racing game that uses non licensed cars in it but i was wrong, once again Doug never disappoints me.
Long time fan here (before the videos even) If you plan to make a lot more videos in the garage I would suggest some sound panels to improve the audio recording. Thanks for all the years of entertaining content!
I'm surprised Doug did not mention that the V8 in the Nissan R390 is what all current V8 McLarens are based on. That is the definition of "quirk and feature".
Supercars are meant to be scary. The last real analogue supercar is the F40. The CGT is amazing, awesome and fabulous....but easy to drive? Not a quality of a proper driver focused analogue supercar Doug. The idea of the F40 having mega lag, then boom all the torque in one go, coupled with no driver aids makes me so exhilarated just thinking about it🤣🤣🤣

@@vancetuber7305 probably because Doug lives in California.
@@robertlian2009 Why would that be a criteria for a car enthusiast? It doesn't matter at all where or even if an unusual car was sold. If you're actually into cars, you've heard of most of these.
16:42 I was so hoping he was gonna mention the Chrysler ME-412 but I'm glad the Cien is getting recognition too!
The ME-412 would have been legendary if Daimler had allowed Chrysler to build them. They were afraid that it would beat the Mercedes-Benz Mclaren SLR.
@@transientfire8962 very interesting indeed!

i love all the Cadillac concepts, the Cien and Sixteen, but the concept i love the most was the line up introduced in the 2010s, the Ciel (convertible), El Miraj (coupe), and Escala (sedan), i hope they can put those into production, i'll kill to buy one of it
Another car i feel like should be on this list is the Ford GT-90. (there was a top gear episode featuring it but the engine wasn't properly set up for the road test and didn't have the turbos hooked up)
The Isdera Commendatore 112i and the Isdera Imperator 108i are worth mentioning. Beautiful supercars that few know about.
Was about to mention those, along with the Maybach Coupe (excelero?) and the Yamaha super car they designed and built but ultimately killed. Funny how the Sultan is the reason for most of them in the 90s
The Commandatore was probably driven by Paulie Walnuts😂😂
Did either of those cars have the Zonda engine?
Another interesting supercar is the Venturi Atlantique. It was made of fiberglass and had a mid-engine V6. There were also the East German Melkus sportscars, the Czech MTX Tatra V8, and the Russian Marussia supercars.
Was hoping to see that one in the list too
And the Pininfarina Mythos
And the Chevrolet CERV III (yeah the Test Drive 3 cars)

There was also the Polish Hussarya abortion.

I remember reading a lot about about it in Car magazine as a kid, more recently there were news stories about 1 of the built cars being seized as it was a UK registered one that had been imported to the US on a temporary import (it was at the time under 25 years old) to have work done on it, and they kept it beyond the time limit (i believe it was Zamopli himself that had imported it)
The only reason I knew about this car already is because I saw it in grand turismo lol

The design of the Cizeta was disapproved design for the Countach successor. Marcello Gandini finished the design and made the Diablo. The original design was bought by Moroder for his supercar. That’s why the Moroder V16 looks so much like the Diablo. Specially the front.

Fun fact: the “T” means transverse, since the V16 is mounted sideways as seen at 5:38. The power takeoff to the transaxle is from the CENTER of the engine (splitting it into two V8s), not the end of the crankshaft. Bizarre…
Cizeta V16T has 500+ bhp.

One of my personal favourite supercars that no one has heard of is the RH Alurad Rhapsody (also known as the RHapsody)
RH Alurad is a German wheel manufacturer which decided to create a crazy supercar during the early 90s.
Damn, now that's a car I haven't heard about in a long time
Can’t believe you didn’t mention the Wolfrace Sonic. It was in a book I bought back in the early 1990s. Craziest car I’ve ever seen.
Thanks for sharing this, just looked it up and it’s the craziest thing I’ve ever seen
I just googled it. What the hell on earth is that lmao
Doug is a type of guy who break into your garage and check you tyre pressure
Tire?
huge fail on your trying to be or original
The interesting thing about the Cizeta is that the V-16s are two V-8s (albeit with a total volume of 5.6 liters) docked longitudinally. And they stand across the body!
And the 575 Zagato always reminded me the Russian Volga 3110 car. Moreover, the rear lights look like the front lights.
The Cien inclusion also made me think of the Chrysler ME four-twelve. They had it on Midnight Club Dub Edition Remix, and I always thought it was cool.
For a future video, check out the British built, Cadillac 8.2l powered, Panther 6. The clue's in the name, as it had six wheels! They built just two.
Gran Turismo is helpful in remembering some of these supercars.
Great list. I remember also the V12 Yamaha OX99-11 tandem seat supercar, of which I think only 3 were ever built
yep 3 prototype only,,
Doug is pretty much the only content creator you can trust to actually tell you 10 cars you've never heard of with a title like this, anyone else would have just listed mildly obscure cars like the Xj220, the one 77, or the Vector W8

Doug, you didn’t mention the most insane thing about the CZ Moroder V16 T. The T stands for Transverse! It has a TRANSVERSE V16. Insane.
Remember the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve ? I sure do. I miss that. Looks better than the Cien
I'm glad to say I knew all of these & the history on them! Except the mega track, had 0 clue about the history. Cool video, nice to see people take interest in learning about these forgotten cars.
I love how the Dog chills inside the Ford GT while Doug does his thing. 😄🐕🦺🏁🚗
I love it when i get into one of these videos and there is at least one car that i had *actually* never heard about. Great video as always
The chrysler me412 is one a lot of people don't seem to know about either. I love the styling on it
Chrysler ME four- twelve and the Volkswagen W12 seem to be forgotten nowadays
My favorite childhood concept car was Ford GT90. I played NSF II back in the day and this GT90 was there. Absolutely love the car. Really sad that the car never went on production.
I'd love to see a "10 Concept Cars that didnt get produced" episode.
For me:
1 Buick Avista
2 Cadillac Ciel/Elmiraj
3 Chrysler Firepower
4 Cadillac Sixteen
5 Chevrolet Code 130R / Tru 140S
6 Ford GT90
7 BMW Nazca C2
8 Bentley Hunuadieres
9 Ford Interceptor
10 Mazda Shinari

If your gonna talk about a prototype super car, then you gotta mention the Chrysler supercar, if you played midnight club dub edition you know what I’m talking about
Doug the type of guy that likes watching people drive his cars
The car in the thumbnail i thought it was some random art of a car that didn't exist from some 2000s racing game that uses non licensed cars in it but i was wrong, once again Doug never disappoints me.
so everyone's gonna ignore the dog sitting in the car behind him during the intro
Not only have I heard of the Cizeta Morauder V16T, I still have the magazine that it was featured in. Badass.
Long time fan here (before the videos even) If you plan to make a lot more videos in the garage I would suggest some sound panels to improve the audio recording. Thanks for all the years of entertaining content!
I knew at least 5 of these but still one of my favorite doug videos
I'm surprised Doug did not mention that the V8 in the Nissan R390 is what all current V8 McLarens are based on. That is the definition of "quirk and feature".
Supercars are meant to be scary. The last real analogue supercar is the F40. The CGT is amazing, awesome and fabulous....but easy to drive? Not a quality of a proper driver focused analogue supercar Doug. The idea of the F40 having mega lag, then boom all the torque in one go, coupled with no driver aids makes me so exhilarated just thinking about it🤣🤣🤣
McLaren F1 had no driver aids. Pure analog.
