Looks good man. Very simple, clean build. Just enough stuff to make it look sharp, but not too much to where it looks over the top. These kinds of builds are the best because you can drive them and not worry about the miles.
Nice, clean, tasteful build! Paint looks great, even with the hard line. I honestly didn't even notice that until you pointed it out. I recently got into enjoying cars when my dad gave me his old 09 civic. I've cleaned that car more in the year since I got it than he did in the 6 years he drove it. 🤔 it's nothing crazy, but i love that car! I just put a bluetooth compatible touchscreen radio in it, and had it detailed and waxed and it looks brand new. And of course the gas mileage is great. I got almost 45mpg on a turnpike a few weeks ago!
So clean! definitely want to touch up my '04 civic with some similar improvements to you...mine started with 117k miles but bought used from a dealer for closer to 5 grand so it's crazy you picked yours up for so cheap!
That car didn’t even look that bad bro haha 😂 look up 79 productions he’s a beast at full restoration and he ends up putting on a turbo and he painted it himself btw
For the door, after doing the bodywork to the damaged area you should have painted it by spraying the inside perimeter of the fender for the hard to spray areas, then mounted it and got everything fitting nicely. then tape up the car leaving the fender and door exposed. then when you paint the fender you can blend the paint with the door and then clear coat over both complete. Thats the correct way to do it and even with a rattle can you can get some really good results if you do it right. Especially if you order the paint color matched to the cars paint code and have a good proper automotive clear to match. Both of which i know you can get in spray cans from a place like NAPA. Doing it this way (even easier and better results when you use a can of blending agent) you can then wet-sand with 2000 grit sand paper and polish out with G3 compound... the results would really surprise you.
I got mine too for $1500 with upgrades already, like lowered suspension and a extra set of 4 rims with winter tires.. Then I added others stuff like roof spoiler, aftermarket front grill, and I replace the stock Air intake into an aftermarket cold air intake.
I had one of these in high school. I both loved and hated that car. Mine had a lot of problems even two years after a graduated it still was down on a weekly basis but I kept it right till the deer took it out. Caved in the roof the hood bent a control arm and I still have flashbacks from the antlers being less than an inch from my face. That car sat in my yard for another 6 months untouched then one day I took a Kia sorrento and tried to jump it. Car barely turned over. So my reaction was leave the Kia hooked to it and at more charging power with my gmc envoy. After a few minutes the two suvs basically scared that car back to life. I drove it around in the yard for a few weeks and out into the pasture I ended up scraping that car and didn’t get near the $10,000 I had invested in it back out. In fact I barely got $100 out of it
About to get a 2004 manual soon to start building on since my 1999 has too many issues to see the value in building on. Nice set up thanks for the motivation
When you painted the car you should've also painted those paint less spots. If you still have the car, and don't have any paint, maybe a little bottle of paint from a dealer isn't expensive. Maybe some clear coat too.
