Building a *CLEAN* Honda Civic in 10 Minutes! (Less is MORE!)

- From a $900 sidewalk special to a CLEAN Honda Civic Coupe! My 2000 Civic build was a good example that sometimes less is MORE. After a little bit of time, a little money, and a lot of effort, I was able to transform this car into something I'm proud of! Here is the 10 Minute Recap of the build!
For those new to my Honda Civic Videos, I'm a big fan of OEM+ modifications for my builds. This particular Civic project was built on a $3,000 budget in TOTAL. I have plenty of videos documenting this project and all that went into it. It might be easy to see this and think "ok so he just lowered it and put wheels on it," when in reality it was so many LITTLE things that add up to the big picture. There aren't too many clean examples of 96-00 Honda Civic's running around anymore, and I think people appreciate the simplicity.
I understand that this 10 minute car build may lack the speed that others have, but don't let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's and ordered three T66 turbos with NOS and a Motec System Exhaust. You're one of my inspiration to do whatever I want with my 98 ek hatch. Even all the haters around me, people I know, always says sell it in the scrap and get a car doesn't require a fix. All I said was, "where's the fun in that?"
I know that feeling and now we just have to prove them wrong with the dream we have with the vehicle we got.

There are some cars that we have something for them and we just don't have the courage to sell them. We wanna keep them and do the best we can to make them look better.

Ive had a white 2000 honda civic coupe for 2 years and loved it dearly. sadly i crashed it 2 days ago. i hadn’t replaced the headlights after being stock and ended up hitting a highway sign pole at 70. watching your videos is really helping me remember the times i worked on it and all of the fun I had in it. so thank you 🙏

I just bought a SUPER CLEAN 00 Civic Ex almost completely rust free. This video inspires me to build her into something special! I love the simple look of your white civic, but like everyone, we all have different personal mods we would do a Lil different.. but truly, after seeing this makes me want to hop to it FAST! HAHA btw fr your Hondas are a couple of the better looking ones I've seen that don't have MAJOR mods! Good job hoss!

Just wanna say, i love the lower control arms and subframe brace. I have a ek hatch down here in pocatello, we got similar setups. I just couldn't get my subframe brace to fit with my yonaka exhaust lol. Awesome builds though.

I recently bought a white 99 civic LX for $1000 and it's in immaculate condition on the interior as I literally got it from my grandma lol. The outside is a bit dirty and mechanically it's near flawless. The only issue it has is the valve cover seal needs replaced and that's on the to-do list. It has 130k miles on it too which is fairly low considering it's age. All in all I love it so far despite not being a previous civic guy. After seeing just how much of an improvement your civic looks after some the mods at the relatively low price I'm definitely gonna be shooting for that. It will also be my first real "project car" so there will definitely be a learning curve. My only complaint with the car is the 4 speed auto in it. I don't mind it being auto, I'd prefer a manual but I'm ok with auto but it just needs 1 more gear in it. Just doesn't feel right only being a 4 speed. Can't complain tho and hope to have it looking as good as yours in a year or 2!

I couldn’t help but to get a little emotional watching this. In a way I feel a special connection to Civics. Growing up I used to ride around with my mom in her Gold Civic EX from 2000. I LOVED that car. Even if it was simple to me it was really cool. While it’s not the same as the one you fixed up the video the interior was practically the same and it brought back such a rush of nostalgia. She’d had the car since before I was born and had to sell it when I was around 11 years old after someone cut her off and forced her to jump a pretty tall curb which ultimately blew the suspension, steering alignment, front axle and driveshaft. It was gonna be too expensive to fix. As a result my parents ended up getting a new 2013 Civic EX or rather an FB2. While it wasn’t the same as my mom’s I liked it and thought it looked cool and felt fast too! Fast forward nearly nine years later and that FB2 Civic became my car. I still remember my dad taking me out to drive it in an empty parking lot during the height of the pandemic and those first few drives made me fall in love with her even more and moreso when I started driving with my permit. I got my license in that car during my road test and I’ve driven her everywhere ever since. She’s been beyond reliable and fun and I have SO MANY memories with her. Honda really knew what they were doing with the Civic and honestly I’m very grateful that they’ve made this amazing car. They really are something special.

Thank you for this video. Just purchased the exact same car and I see the potential it has. So far after market headlights and rims. New alternator and head gaskets. But I’m so lost on what and how to modify my car, this is my first time with any vehicle adding modifications. Now I have an idea of what I wanna go for with my own twist to make it me. But now the question is, do I hire someone to do it or try and do it myself ? I know body work is extremely difficult so I’m not sure. But I’m also on somewhat of a budget.
