Still the best, all this needs is a little bit of a graphic update, few new maps and guns. They got the TTK correct with this, weapon feel, sounds and no stupid slides, diving etc.
The level of the game details and other mechanics are absolutely perfect for today's reality. None of the modern game can replicate this gameplay abilities. Thanks to this game I started wondering the WW1 history, and I can say it has become one of the favorite chapters of world history. Thanks DICE❤
As a die hard COD fan during my teen years, convincing me to buy BF1 was the best thing my friends ever did. The game changed my expectations for FPS games. It felt like I was a character in a movie with how incredible the audio and graphics were. Truly a fantastic game.
This game could pass for releasing today. Still looks phenomenal. Plays great too. If they'd just release a BF3/BF4 "Reboot" within the BF1 engine...I, for one, would be content.

Bf1 including all the dlc goes on sale on Xbox for like $7 every so often & I finally got it again & got some friends to download, easily still one of my favorite games even tho there's not too many servers left unless it's the weekend

The omni-movement in bf5 was much better imo, just being able to aim behind you while prone is enough. Being able to shoot dodge like max payne on top of slide canceling in CoD is just gonna complicate things more imo
I hated bf1 at launch because the maps were significantly smaller than bf4 and I struggled with being a sniper. There are hills and obstacles that obstruct long range sniping. Your scope glint is atrocious. But then I learned about aggressive, short range sniping, and I haven't gone back. Sitting 1,000 yards away is boring and you generally get less kills.
Looking forward to the anti cheat. I play with the same people all the time, and a few are a little suspicious. Nothing obvious though. It will be interesting to see if there are players that suddenly disappear once the anti cheat is introduced. There also seems to be more suss players since BF5 got the anti cheat.

@@crusader8308 mixed review because way to arcadey ,painful reload animation and janky movement, as you know Verdun was released 3y before BF1, but those games got more realism model and historical accurate loadout than BF1
not sure battlefield devs will be able to top BF1 or BF5,they would be better off just creating more maps and weaponry for both maybe extra elites,some more tanks,planes etc...not sure why they have not already...only squid seems to be uploading BF2042 consistently...but the game just seems boring...even to watch
the anti cheat is a bad thing tbh. the community servers are alr cheater free, since there is almost always admins on standby to ban them. this is just pointless, letting EA have kernel level access to ur pc.
