AS disturbing and sad and unfortanate it has been to watch blade decay in real time I will say its been a FASCINATING testament to the resiliency of the human body. People were SURE he was on deaths door 3-4 years ago and just last night he was live, finishing a hlaf gallon of jager, drunk driving, and chainsmoking relentlessly. He leaves his diabetes and high blood pressure completely unmanaged, drinks jager by the gallon daily, and smokes like a chimney. APL is now toiling away at streaming to a couple hundred viewers every night, Hutch is a wacko leftist that is obsessed with politics, Seananner was massively successful but couldn't deal with the pressure and left it all behind, Sark is arguably the most successful of them and now streams to thousands of viewers at a time and Blade is just a massive drunken mess that has become a lolcow. They all still interact with and stream with each other on occasion, Sark/APL/Seananners still play with each other all the time but it's wild to see where that original batch of content creators ended up.

As interesting to watch, I do feel very sorry for Blade. He's trapped in this life he's created. I dabbled with Twitch and streaming around 2015. I drank a lot at the time and at one point considered making that my "thing" to entertain people. Long story short, I've been sober for 4 years now and I couldn't be happier I didn't go down that path (or become a popular streamer 😅)
I usually can only stomach around 10 mins of these disgusting reprobates, however the beautiful and poetic narration in this video helped me to watch to the end. I did nearly bail out during the goocheese incident. she is a woman that makes me feel everything from attraction to disgust, to pity and despair. Geez, this was more depressing than the Boogie video. With Boogie, it feels more like he just continued making the wrong decisions, enforced by his body problems. With this guy, he willingly sunk into depravity that was emboldened by his addiction. I retched pretty hard at the part where his tooth fell out of his mouth.
I guess I can take some comfort in knowing that my life will never be this rock bottom, no matter how hard it gets.

Really what is just so tragic about Brian’s alcoholism, is that he’s convinced he needs streams for alcohol and needs alcohol for steaming. He has said it time and time again that streaming only makes him money if he’s drunk. He will still deny he’s an alcoholic to this day, it’s just so tragic. Nothing changes if nothing changes.

It’s so silly hearing people say that the person you are when you’re blackout drunk is the “real you”. Because it’s nonsense. Alcohol intoxication shuts down vast swaths of the brain. Including major parts of your personality.
You drunk is no more the “real you” than someonr who’s got severe brain damage from an accident is now the “true them!”. There’s a reason people who get get extremely drunk have a very real possibility that they could stop breathing in the middle of the night. Is that also the “real you!”? lol. As interesting to watch, I do feel very sorry for Blade. He's trapped in this life he's created. Anyone who knows anything about addiction knows that its not that simple for him to just stop at this point. He's done some shitty things, but as someone whos watched Blade since his CoD days, deep down he is a good person, his life and persona has been twisted and distorted so much over the years, he's finds himself where he is now. His life is streaming now, drinking on stream to make a living. Its a sad existence, I hope he sorts himself out at some point, but I fear hes too far gone now. I really do wish the best for Blade and I really hope he gets it together before its too late. He needs to quit streaming completely and just live a normal live. I dont think he will ever stop drinking but I feel like he can get some control over it if he stops doing it for an audience. I really hope to see the day we get a Blade redemption. It's easy to just hate, point out his flaws and laugh, but as a human to another human, it really is so sad to see what he's become. I pray for you Blade, I do hope you "figure it out".
