Damned touching video : " Spirit of Tasmania " is spirit captures ! 😂 😮 Definitely awe-inspiring video and unrivaled work ! I feel pleasant goosebumps... Well done ✅ Thanks dear Friend for Your golden hands and for Your creative passion 🙏 God bless You richly 🙏👍
Wow Fantastic footage mate , she seems to be handling it very nice , earlier today I was thinking it would be a bit rough doing the crossing. Before covid I used to come down to Willy and grab some fish n chips every week and take photos from the strand of the ships coming in , sometimes from the Altona side of Williamstown , on one occasion there was a gigantic colourful rainbow out on the bay , after a bit rain in the afternoon sun , and the tassie boat drove right under it 😊, I took about ten pics as she got closer to the rainbow , what would have been my best shot of the lot was just as the pointy end hitting the beginning of the rainbow , but the sun reflected hard off the broadside of the boat and ruined the shot😮, oh well , therms the brakes 😊. Love your work mate.
@@daff.wallace2267As long as the water line is below the Plimsoll line, named after Samuel Plimsoll 1824-1898, introduced through British Parliament an Act under the Board of Trade to introduce a mark on the side of the vessel to indicate the maximum loading. Measured every out of water survey to ensure tht mark has not been raised further up towards the deck line. (The Oxford Comanion to Ships and the Sea)
Great footage makes you feel nice and warm at home. This piece of music is Cheliers de Sangreal .Lessen to anna lapwood play the same on the royal albert hall organ slight differance but both are great.
Another great video Wally' Thanks Buddy .The Spirt looks Impressive coming through the Rip and the skill of the ships crew to navigate that dangerous stretch of sea unassisted day in day out ,Makes one proud to be an Aussie.
I had some friends on it a couple days ago, there regulars to the crossing...he needed some heavy medication and his wife who has no issues was a bit wobbly, she retreated to there cabin and stayed in bed....no damage this trip to there car luckily...no way would I get on the boat
Come on @Aprilsraven629, you can do better. Think of all the years (at least sixty), that TT Line have been doing these crossings twice daily almost every day - by my reckoning, more than 40,000 crossings and not a major incident. Surely, it can't be that unsafe? I have to say, I do the crossing regularly, but I've yet to experience it 'rough.' Maybe I'm a masochist, but I do look forward to having that experience.
Great vid 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Obviously a pilot never needed. Well filmed. 👍
Exempt masters trained in all the local knowledge of both ports for safe navigation.
Great editing
Amazing footage, so close.
Smooth sailing.

The power of the sea captured on this video.
Does the Spirit take the short cut to Geelong or does it have to go via Dromana?
Via the South Channel.
Excellent vid!
Thank you.
Great video. It looks a bit front heavy, but I am no expert. Or maybe that’s How they load it for rough crossings?
Ship level to it's waterline markings most of the time.
