This guy knows his stuff. He could tell from the sound of the horn that it was an Alco apparently before he could even see it clearly. I'm so happy for his excitement--seeing the things he loves so much!
Used to go to the gym and workout with a 70 year old dude who could lift the weights...and he would just drive out and record the audio so he could listen to it later. Must be something to it!
A BL2 is a rare EMD Branch line model unit built in 1948. There are only 7 remaining in the USA, and they are becoming rarer, especially now that the SNCRwy is now out of buisness
@@meesterSmeeth4182 It's offensive to most railfans, but back in the day there was a scenic route with a chemical or coal burning plant that it serviced. when they burned the coal or chemicals it left pollutants in the local rivers, creating foam, but railfans who wanted to see the trains on the scenic route waded right into the foam, hence the name, foamers.
