RIP Paul Vasquez. Like this foamer, his ecstatic joy brought so much joy to other people. Good reminder to find something that makes me this excited and post a video of it :)
I love the fact that the majority of us, myself included, have absolutely no idea why the train(s) are so special but the guy loving it so much makes this really wholesome. The other day I found my original “big box” copy of Command and Conquer in the loft and it made me cry with joy. Everyone’s got something they absolutely love deep down you just gotta find it, and even if you don’t know why the other person loves it so much appreciate it together ♥️♥️♥️
It’s like seeing a rare vintage car, especially in working condition. Private car owners who have sentimental attachment, restore their cars. But in the case of locomotives if the company that bought them couldn’t afford to maintain them they were sold or scrapped. Some lucky locos are restored by folks that care about the history and love trains and are still used for excursions and even some freight work. The BL2 is rare compared to most vintage diesel trains, there’s only 7 that have been preserved out of 59 built. Out of the 450 E8s that were built, about 58 survive. Seeing the E8 move is a treat but to see a BL2 is really special.
This is hilarious. But at the same time, I'm genuinely happy for this guy and that something this innocent can make him so happy. He doesn't sound like a bad guy, he just likes trains.
Hakeem Sd70M And what makes you think I care about foamer being derogatory? There’s a difference between foamers and railfans. Railfans are ones that use common sense and don’t scream their heads off for trains, foamers are dumb and yell at trains. Foamers also treat railroads as if they were their own, not using common sense and logic to understand why certain decisions are made. Stereotype or not, it’s true, and I know that because I’ve been there myself. As soon as I realized how problematic being a foamer was, I had a much better life and social skills became easier. Come back when you know what you’re talking about.
@@amtrakinoscale9811 I didn't say you had to care. There's a lotta jealous folks out there that lump all railfans together and I thought you were one of those people, but now I can see that you're not. I know of the foamers that scream at trains and act like they know everything there is to know about the railroad, telling guys and gals how to do their own jobs. That of course isn't me. Using common sense around railroads, keeping distance when filming and/or watching, and not trespassing is what keeps people alive. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.

I've seen this video a couple times, but never read the comments. I fully expected everyone to be tearing this guy apart. I was very happy to see the opposite. I actually helped restore the blue and grey 1949 BL-2 10 years ago. It was 1 of 49 built and 1 of 7 or 8 left in the world. It brought tears to my eyes to see that it making this guy so happy has made so many other people happy.
I'm not a train guy, and I find trains boring. That said, my world is better off with every single train guy in it and I find them entirely heartwarming. So this video rules.
That’s amazing! And you did a great job restoring that train as it brought so much joy to this man and you further helped restore a bit of genuine social kindness and humanity, and we thank God All-Mighty for allowing us to share this happy moment with an unknown man, and this is something that only the Mercy of Allah could do, and we were happy and grateful to be part of this experience. Thanks again for your endeavors. Take care!
Well, I don't know about the anal part, but I know the multiples part, because I was a 14 year old at one point. I don't know who "they" are, but they're talking nonsense.
The way that he says "Aghg! Oooh~ but that doesn't stop a foamer, Oh~ ESPECIALLY when it comes to heritage equipment" at 1:15 just sends me reeling every time. It's is joyous and wholesome and genuine!
He's so freaking pumped, I love it The fact that somebody could get so excited about something so obscure to the rest of modern society is proof that our species still has some interesting people left Keep chasing trains bro, don't let anybody keep you down
That's awesome! He probably raced home. Kicked the back door open and yelled "You will never guess what I saw, honey!!!" Three hours later she says " Ok. Ok. You can stop hootin and hollering now." That guy made my night. Good for him 😃
Although it's funny, it also shows us that this guy is SO wholesome for a heritage unit he sees for the first time! I would be excited like him if I see one of these. There are so many things you have and also full of surprises, and you can't be this thankful enough!
chaser This is because spontaneous emotional expression is almost impossible to mimic or fake, originating deep in the brain stem. We instinctively recognize this as witnesses to a situation, employing an innate ability to sense harmony and discord or "spot a liar unless otherwise misdirected" and due to general empathy and mirror neurones our brains have a hard time actually making distinctions between what is happening to the other person and ourselves. Moods consequently are neurobiologically contagious in a quite literal sense. This should have far ranging consequences for how we build societies, as the suffering of others essentially, whether we like or consciously realize it or not affects everybody with normal emotions, feelings and empathy at some level. Even the ones who may be causing the suffering.
I could probably listen to this guy talk about trains all day as long as there is wine and beer available. It's great listening to people passionate about something.

As a self-acknowledged railroad nut (note the profile picture), I'd say this is a standard reaction for "foamers" who are very enthusiastic about trains, though it's more likely that I'd react like this if I saw a steam locomotive in action. By the by, to answer this gentleman's question, T.C. Durant was vice-president of the Union Pacific Railroad Company at the time the Transcontinental Railroad was completed.
You're so right. I have this friend that I used to work with, Adrian, and he looooved trains. They were also a great escape for him from his controlling and chaotic family! My ex and I used to take him places with us, bring him over to roast marshmallows and let him tell us all about his trains.. and whenever we took him to a place that just happened to have a train, he would loosen up and be loud and proud in his demeanor! It was amazingly refreshing and his innocence was truly remarkable 💖 Whenever we took a video of a unique train, or of a model train, we'd wait to show him in person so we could experience his benevolence and passion 🤩 I swear, I never expected my xbf to be so fond of him or to actually want to hang out with him, but he just absolutely loved Adrian 🥰 Although, once you spoke with him, it was hard not to relish in his excitement and wonder! The kid made everything better
1:51 Thomas Clark Durant (February 6, 1820 - October 5, 1885) was an American physician, businessman, and financier. He was vice-president of the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) in 1869 when it met with the Central Pacific railroad at Promontory Summit in Utah Territory.

Dude loves trains, it's the same for certain people when a new console is released. As nerds we really should see this guy as a kindred spirit, we love obscure shit that most of society gives no fucks about. Keep chasing those trains my friend
Only problem I have with this video is him saying “ I have chills...and it has nothing to do with how cold it is”. I fact checked the video. And it violates community standards. 🤣. 2 older people seen in the video. An older lady wearing short sleeves and capris. And an older gentleman wearing short sleeves. With that being said. I absolutely love this video. Every time I need a good laugh and smile in life. I watch this video. Cheers me up every time. Everyone in the world needs to be as happy and excited in life as much as he is about those trains. What a wonderful world this would be ❤️
THANK YOU, HANK! I was just talking about this today!!! I don't know why people think it's fine to go through life without uncontrolled and real excitement about the great things that happen to us everyday and the rush that comes with it, but it seems a lot of people around me end up taking that road. I'm not saying it solves all the problems in the world, I'm just saying that having experienced that in some occasions makes me really wonder why some people do drugs when there's this alternative that is just SO FUCKING BETTER!

The BL2 is that blue & gray locomotive. 59 BL2s were built from 1947-1949, and only 7 exist today
A BL2 is a type of a locomotive, like a car how it has certain types. For example, a Honda Civic. Is just like this which is a EMD BL2.
The B.L.2 is the second locomotive in the lash up. It’s the one painted silver with blue and yellow stripes, with a blue cab.
I just love this, it's just so heartwarming to see and hear someone so consumed with joy for something so trivial.( at least to me.)

I am not much different. I was jumping when I saw a P-40 fighter plane.
Is it like... Some kind of fetish or...?
I'm surprised that someone who is this excited about trains doesn't know who Durant is. Y'all need to watch Hell on Wheels
iwanttosmell Apparently enthusiasm for something is considered fetishistic now.
Back on topic, please?
Some guy with red eyes brought me here.... #EqualsThree
Me too.
I'm pretty sure ray reviewed this already, I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure he did
Alexander Bianchino I thought the same thing...
Yup same here.
Satan?
The world would be a better place with more of this guy. God Bless.
I honestly wish I could be as excited about things in life as this man is with trains
This guy is just like my grandfather. He LOVES trains SO MUCH it's adorable.
Brings a smile to face when I see this. I'm really happy for him. I hope he sees more cool trains soon.
We all need to allow ourselves to be excited about something we love like this guy.
That was so dang awesome. Made me feel like a kid again for a few minutes! Train lovers are in a league of their own ❤
You're so right.
@@iUnderstandHaha that's awesome! 😂😂😂
That moment when he noticed the other train XDD
SuperGameEskimo he nearly had a cardiac arrest
SuperGameEskimo The BL2
If I was someone on that train I'd hop out and ask if the guy wants a ride
Edvin Söderman and then you and every crew member on board the train would stand a high chance of being decertified.
Edvin Söderman yeah ... He would have probably died

Thomas Clark Durant (February 6, 1820 - October 5, 1885) was an American physician, businessman, and financier. He was vice-president of the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) in 1869 when it met with the Central Pacific railroad at Promontory Summit in Utah Territory.
I absolutely love this guy. Follow your passions.
"especially when it comes to heritage equipment!"
The enthusiasm is truly infectious. Legendary commentary. Should be the geekiest, lamest clip on the planet. He actually comes out of this sounding awesome. Cracks me up.
I just want to be this happy about something.
I lose it whenever I watch this.Bless this guy 😂😂😂😂🤤
BATCHEST WOOHOO!!!
I love this guy so much! I hope you're just as happy today as you were on the day you recorded this, sir. You are awesome and make me smile.
I've watched this video many times since it was posted and it still makes me smile and chuckle every time!
0:34 that horn was so loud that it probably jumpscared us
bro is genuinely happy, and im happy for him.
I didn't realize Bill Murray loved trains this much.
Dude loves trains, it's the same for certain people when a new console is released. As nerds we really should see this guy as a kindred spirit, we love obscure shit that most of society gives no fucks about. Keep chasing those trains my friend
Thia video is just so wholesome and cute
Only problem I have with this video is him saying “ I have chills...and it has nothing to do with how cold it is”. I fact checked the video. And it violates community standards. 🤣. 2 older people seen in the video. An older lady wearing short sleeves and capris. And an older gentleman wearing short sleeves. With that being said. I absolutely love this video. Every time I need a good laugh and smile in life. I watch this video. Cheers me up every time. Everyone in the world needs to be as happy and excited in life as much as he is about those trains. What a wonderful world this would be ❤️
you all just watched a dude having a railgasm, dude straight up went loco
my friend: _starts heading towards him to tell him to shut up_
me: _stops friend_ "No, don't ruin this for him."
Just watch him go, he’s in a safe place now, where he’s happy. This would be me if I was in a Union Pacific railroad yard. Just see the rains go by

........ LISTEN TO THAT HORN!
Genuine footage of Alan Fisher in his natural element. 👍
I got to see 518 in-person in August 2021 and I pretty much had the same reaction lmao
That train was like FUS RO DAH!!!
We all need to take notes from this guy. He finds joy and enjoying life. Something like this is making him happy. Good for you
