- In this video I will be comparing the factory exhaust system with the new Gibson Performance Exhaust system. This is a bolt on replacement exhaust system with no welding or cutting required. We will be installing it on my all new 2019 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 crew cab short bed, 5.7l VVT engine (Non E-Torque), with the 3.92 gears.
Overall the installation was easy. It can be done by yourself as long as you have the right tools but it’s much easier and quicker if you have helping hands. My buddy Jacob aka @ThatBlueSix helped me out with this install as well as many other installs on multiple projects. He too has a Gibson equipped ride. Make sure to go check him out on Instagram.
Big thank you to Gibson Performance Exhaust for supporting another one of my projects and for letting me test out this new exhaust system for the newly designed Ram 1500! Not only do they have great quality product, but they are a great company to work with and they stand by their product. I have been using Gibson products since 2011 on multiple projects and I have nothing but good things to say.
Make sure to go check out their line of products on gibsonperformance.com
Also here is the direct link for the exhaust system used on my 2019 Ram 1500

Sounds really really good nice deep tone. I love it
I enjoyed the sound of it.
The whistle noise is a characteristic of the muffler, I'm guessing it has to with how the inside of the muffler is. I've got the mwa race on my 16 ram hemi, doesnt brother, great sound with minimal highway drone
On these babies take out the two bolts connected to the muffler and turn it on sounds sexy Af i love how mine would sound before i put a performance exhaust on it.
Any update on that whistle noise?
What's that high pitched whistling sound after the install?
hochhaul at first I thought it was an exhaust leak. Rechecked and retorqued all the bolts after a couple days. Ran truck on cold start idle and no noticeable leaks. After searching the forums some say it’s because of my active noise control. So trying to figure out if it’s that still. Only happens when I floor it.
Would it sound the same on a 2019 ram 1500 big horn?
cali kali yea absolutely. As long as you have the 5.7l. But, if you have etorque with MDS it will sound different when mds kicks in. I don’t have etorque or mds.
Ninja Ed cool man. Thank you.
@@NinjaEdsBuilds25 which model is your truck?the non etorque have mds still, mine does and i dont have etorque
TheIamdevin you’re correct, me being a n00b to rams brought me to believe I didn’t have MDS because I thought it was only on models with etorque. But I haven’t even noticed my truck kicking on mds with or without the new exhaust lol. The sound of the exhaust hasn’t changed while driving either so that’s a good thing right? Lol
@@NinjaEdsBuilds25 haha no worries seen a few people so far think the same thing!
Did you delete all 3 of the Resonators
Steve Johns no just the two in the rear.
It is louder than the carvan exhaust ?
Ryan Williams I’m not sure. Haven’t heard that one in person.
