Tieflings are awesome... if you play the way they were intended when they came out with Planescape and if you don't go with the usual boring Asmodeus Tiefling look. In Baldur's Gate 2, Haer'Dalis is indeed a tiefling, as is Neeshka in Neverwinter Nights 2... the problem with modern tieflings is that they all look the same, players play them in a very boring way and they are being androginized for no reason at all.
The Spider-Man show has nothing to do with the MCU Shad. There was one Easter Egg where this Spider-Man caught a vehicle the same way he did in a video Tony Stark played in Civil War... but nothing else lines up with the MCU timeline. It's just supposed to be a new stand alone show. Which is how they will defend the race swapping, by saying "Its an alternate timeline" or something..
"Accidentally" breaking things because you're strong is a load of shit. I can hand you a cracker or a paper crane and you can toss them and juggle them without breaking or crushing them even though both will crush with even the pressure of scratching an itch. Only babies that don't even have developed motor control or children that understand that different materials have different durability will break things by accident. Superman always believing himself to be weaker than he truly is, because of holding himself back just like we all do in our everyday lives, is a great story beat. This can be explored with brilliant stories. The opposite idea is the one that sucks, "oops i broke it again i'm just too strong".
Any game that has me playing in 3rd person perspective, I actually make a female character. If I'm going to spend most of my game looking at the backside of the character, I prefer to look at a female one. Unless the game has romance options, then I play a guy.
Space marines aren't just all male because of the physical requirements. Their geneseed is based on their primarchs which are all male so the geneseed is incompatible with women. Might be remembering wrong but I think that's the main reason they are all male
That and also the surgery to become a space marine has like a 15% success rate, and that's after extreme physical and mental training. So if a male at peak physical proformance can only max out at 15%, no way a woman is going to survive to process.
The military released the attrition rate of the special operations units recently. The start of their pipeline to the end from 2001 to now the seals have lost about 70% the green berets loose about 75 to 80% and the airforce commandos loose about 85 to 90 % of their candidates. They have a selection period where they are just constantly smoked and harassed.
18:27 I knew about Geek and Sundry being little scoundrels when they bought and killed Nuka Break. 44:00 I saw a compelling argument today that 40k Orks would be good Paladins in D&D (See Cinderblocksally's video "40k Orks in D&D -- Paladins or Barbarians) 1:45:00 (ish) You reminded me of the best version of Superman: Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. I'm a-go watch that now (Tubi has it, I can't find the torrent)
And he's goblinboy this time... Why can't they just do spiderman anymore? Why does it have to be billionaire protege every time? Ironboy. Goblinboy. Just have a dude in college who gets bit by a radioactive spider, whose also really smart and makes a costume and webfluid.
Babylon 5 is a slow burn in the first season, it gets way better. The fifth season does drag a bit as well, but mainly because they dumped a LOT of story from S5 into S4, due to concerns that they wouldn't get the last season (it was planned to be five seasons from the beginning).
1:24:38 If your sons love Spider-Man and Batman but want really good shows that are slightly more modern, I'd recommend (if they haven't seen them already) The Spectacular Spider-Man (2008) and The Batman (2004).
As a fan of spiderman and a general watcher of marvel classics, I think the Norman Osbourne knowing about who spiderman is and giving him a suit is a neat concept... Everything else about it is mediocre or shit.
In regards to australian politics in 2024, at least the liberals won queenslands state election. Yeah they're not that much better than labour, but they are an improvement.
The Spider-Man show was originally titled "Freshman Year", so the idea was it represented Peter's time before Iron Man discovered him in the MCU, but they took some liberties, so it's an offshoot reality, not the MCU proper. Hence why Norman Osborn and Oscorp are in the show at all, as they didn't exist in the MCU (as established by No Way Home). Regardless, they probably won't include MJ, the dark haired girl is probably Liz Allen (who was a blonde in the comics, but whatever). I don't like race swaps, but I wouldn't care to much if they left it at that. The most egregious thing is Harry being... ugh. The dialogue sounds dogsh*t, the voice acting subpar, the animation is too slow and smooth with actions and frankly looks amateurish. The whole thing looks like a dumpster of cringe. That being said, the racial makeup of the show probably isn't too far from New York's demographic. It's a bit less white, perhaps, but Northeastern big cities like NY have a heavier concentration of "minorities" in their demographic. So I don't personally hold that against the show. I absolutely agree that they're trying too hard to make every character snarky and sarcastic, while failing to make Peter as witty as he's supposed to be. Spider-Man's a smartass, and while nerdy, he's not as awkward as they keep making him out to be. Rant over.
I liked the look and feel about the Spider-Man show. I like the animation style and the cell shaded look. But the blackwashing kills it for me so I won't watch it. 1:18:09 No, I think that's supposed to be Nico Minoru.. I mean, them race-swapping MJ would not be surprising (they did it in the movies) but I read somewhere else it's supposed to be Nico.
I can count the number of frames in that Spiderman trailer on one hand... 😂
Have a happy new year Shad!
Happy New Year Shad and panel!! 🎉🎉
You really need to talk with the UA-camr Arch Shad. He will be the best resource for 40k lore you can find.
At least Peter doesn't have to worry about Harry stealing his girl.
This spiderman animation looks so much worse than the 90s Spiderman cartoon. What the hell?!
1:13:51 Why would Spider-Man need to dodge a punch from a normal human? He would break his hand trying to punch a super hero.
Shad you miss the lazer groove respond for the drawing, he draw a sister of battle kick the wheelchair marine... Awesome
2:00:40 at least LitDev mention it

You just reminded me I bought the first 2 Baldur's gate games a while back, I gotta give them a proper shot.
The character that Peter fistbumps is Tombstone pre-accident.
Lol and with that bit of WW2 history from Mike, randomly for no reason at all, Candace Owens is against Anime for some reason 😂

That was the original plan though back when this show was announced in 2021 or 2022

29:03 technically every seal dies in training. There's a portion where you have to drown yourself.
The racism between Elves and Drow, Elves and Orc's, Elves and Humans, Elves and Gnomes, Elves and Halflings, hmmm the Elves are REALY racist. LoL
Forgot the dwarves. how could you forget the OG beef between those two!
1:37:19 Superman is one punch, without training. How does he become multi punch hero?

Why are you gay?
This is what I keep telling people.
Happy New Year and be healthy

Are you looking forward to 2025?
And he's goblinboy this time...

Ironboy. Goblinboy. Just have a dude in college who gets bit by a radioactive spider, whose also really smart and makes a costume and webfluid.
27:33 female SM wouldn't happened in 40k lore.
But since it's Primaris heresy i don't care.

Babylon 5 was a great TV show! There's a tiny slog in the middle but it really works out in the end.
As a fan of spiderman and a general watcher of marvel classics, I think the Norman Osbourne knowing about who spiderman is and giving him a suit is a neat concept... Everything else about it is mediocre or shit.
Looks like i just missed it😅
