Hi @jremiahjones - thanks for this video - I’ve used it last year to purchase a bunch of the products you recommended and they worked great, so thank you. On a separate topic I have revived a referral link from Tesla and have only used 2 referrals out of 10. I wanted to see if you would be interested in aligning on this opportunity and find a lucrative way to post my referral link in your post and
I turned into a car wash geek since your video last year and wash my car every week now. I found out too late there’s no need for dozens of products. (At least I’m stocked up for a couple years) Like you said there are tons of methods to wash a car and you really don’t need any more than the stuff you have mentioned other than maybe a small soft brush for small crevices a mitt or sponge can’t reach. Amazing video like always! 🙌 you showed us the best method
@@fmip1036 Hi there my car is deep metallic blue so it’s a little dark. I recommend CarPro spotless 2.0 or 3D eraser gel water spot remover. If it’s some kind of tree sap I use Eulex from Koch chemie. If those don’t get the job done you may have to clay it and do a light polish if needed
Tire cleaning steps (Jeremiah Jones method): 1. Tire Prep (deep clean, maybe 6-12 months or every ~16,000 km): * get some rag towels to wipe up excess cleaning product. * spray tire down with Optimum Power Clean (full strength). * let sit for a few seconds. * use tire brush to scrub in power clean all over tire. * expect to see whiteish foam turn brownish in colour. * after scrubbing all over tire, wipe wheel and tire clean. * repeat 2-3 times or until tire browning color reduces in scrubbed foam. * (move car to get underside of wheel if necessary) * WAIT ~30 min / until tire is _completely_ dry 2. Apply Optimum Tire Protection & Coating (the "sealant", every 3-6 months): * WEAR gloves! (solution will stain hands). * use blue foam Opti-Seal applicator. * add quarter sized amount of product solution to applicator. * for first-ever application: apply 2 or 3 coats to each tire. * for subsequent applications: apply 1 coat to each tire. * work in / rub the solution to the tire, wiping any excess which drips onto wheels. * expect initial blue tint to dry to black. * let dry MINIMUM 30 mins, ideally no driving for 4 hours (NO RAIN!). 3. Apply Opti-Bond Tire Gel (the "wax", as often as like): * use same blue foam Opti-Seal applicator. * add quarter sized amount of product solution to applicator. * apply 1 coat to each tire. * work in / rub the solution to the tire, wiping any excess which drips onto wheels.
Just picked up my 2024 Model Y from getting PPF, ceramic coating, and window tint. I told the owner about this video and your recommendations and he was in agreement, recommending a minimum of 1 wash per month, preferably 2 or more with at least one "full" wash (not just rinseless) but always avoiding automatic "tunnel" washes.
Absolute game changer for me. I only really cared about washing my car when I got a tesla, went through a couple of (what I thought were) fine methods. Tried yours...blown away.
Just followed your method for washing my new Model Y for the first time after owning it for a month. The car easily looks better than delivery day, and I am sure that it will be much easier quicker to clean in the future. Thanks for the detailed guide!
This video is a godsend for an overachiever like me. I have a Model Y and first time doing this took me alllll day haha. I was also fighting the sun as I don’t have access to the shade where I’m cleaning it so had to scrub it down multiple times. But man, I literally turned a 10-month, never washed Model Y into essentially looking brand new. Never taking it through an auto wash or hiring anyone to wash any car of mine again. Thank you!
You said in between washes to have the ONR bottle on hand but don't recommend to clean the entire car with it. To wash the car don't you use the ONR bottle for the entire car? Thanks so much!
Damn this seems like alot of work, just not to get fine line scratches, but isn't there way to get those fine lines removed or filled in with like a polish? Or wax?
You said to use the towel as an indicator of if you need more passes to wash, then say to add the sealants etc to a wet panel…..Do you dry the panel after ONR or leave it wet and apply the other things? Thanks..
This is amazing, thanks a ton. I washed my Tesla a few times using the technique in your previous video, BTW, and this video answered all the questions I had from it, great stuff!
This video is insanely helpful (and all your other content for that matter) as a new Model Y owner as of this week. Question: can you use ONR on headlights and taillights too?
Exactly the video I needed to wash down my new baby. Any temporary alternatives for the Optimum Tire Protection and Coating since the company doesn’t seem to be selling it for the foreseeable future?
Wow glad I found you! There’s a convenient touch less car wash with a human that hand pre scrubs. Would you allow that before I wash with your method? Or do I need to do it myself with a pressure washer? Or just skip the human swirling before the touch less wash? Thanks
Hey, KY girl here and I love your videos, for the great content and the extra bonus when I recognize your locations. Could you clarify? I’m confused about why you rec both 500 and 300 microfiber and when to use them. Thanks!
Jeremiah - Thanks for the follow-up video! One question: when using the diluted Power Clean for hard to remove bug accumulation between washings, is the dilution 3:1 water:Power Clean:water or 3:1 water:Power Clean ?
I do both - I wash the glass top with the ONR just like the rest of the car, then when drying, instead of using the car wax or optiseal, I use invisible glass on the glass top, windshield, windows, and mirrors.
Could you update the link for the water bottle? It goes to the Chemical Guys one. And also add a link to the small bottle used for the Power Clean? Thanks!
Great video thank you for it, my wife just got a black M3 and how fast it gets dirty drives me crazy haha. Does that spray bottle last you the whole wash or are you filling it multiple times? And does this method keep the dust off it for a while? You said you only clean the high traffic areas once a week and not the whole car as needed?
Any other recommendations for the leather cleaner and protection since the one on the link is no longer available? Also can this be done with the new 2024 Tesla 3 heated/ cool seats ?
Can I do dry on dry for say brushing off pollen? Or should I ONR that with the GSM 500 towels still? Not sure how to deal with all the pollen landing on my car every 15 seconds. Thank you! Nick
Thorough video as always. Safe to assume all your guidance here can be applied to a MX Ultra red? I have been following your process on my MY since June with great results. Thanks again and keep pushing the great content.
Awesome video! So I take it you believe ONR is superior to a foam cannon wash? I'd be curious to see if ONR actually does what you say it does, and then compare it to a popular foam wash, like Chemical Guys. There seems to be a lot of opinion in this stuff. You aren't alone, a lot of detailers recommend ONR! I'm just unsure about it. I hear a lot of claims that it does what you say, but is it really better? Looking for experts to show me!
Great vid (I came here after watching your old vid from a year ago and glad I did!). I'll be taking delivery of my highland model 3 in a couple of weeks x) Regarding colourlock, it looks like there is also a cleaning set specifically for vegan leather vs artificial leather. It's more expensive, so would you say either is fine (tesla advertises vegan seats so I was curious if there is a big difference).
what do you do if, like me, you have a used model that already have the swirls? I haven't taken the car to an auto wash since I got it and have been hand washing.
The seat cleaner doesn’t have many reviews on Amazon, how did you know it would work well when you first got it? Solid complete video on car care cleaning though - I’ve watched several and I learned a lot on this one. Thanks! 🙏
They just recently began selling direct on Amazon, hence the low reviews. Prior to that you had to order direct or via a certified 3rd party. I had known of them for a while but didn’t really give them a shot until a few years back after of an interview they did with obsessed garage.
Worked nicely. Have to wait and see how it does over time, but it did remove some scuff marks from the dealership easily. Is there a substitute for the Optimum Tire Protection until they are back in stock?
@JremiahJones, love the content. Thanks for putting this together. I’m thinking about getting some third party wheels for winter. Any suggestions who to get from, or should I stay away from third party parts?
Forgot to mention that anyone that uses the referral link gets 1k off I get $500 towards Tesla products. Anyway let me know if you would be interested in discussing further
Excellent video instructions. Love it. By any chance do you have a list of the steps you take to wash a Tesla in order? Forgive me, I'm too old to remember them. I bought everything I could from Amazon and they are ready to go.

Great video. I used your 1st video when I got my MY. This is video clarifies some questions I had. Thanks!!
Just FYI with ONR you wont get water spots. ONR softens the water so worst case is polymer spots, which will wipe right off.
Literally got all the the stuff for a rinse less car wash! About to go in on this! 🙌🏼
What do you use now since Colourlock is no longer available?
Colourlock had been discontinued! What do you use now??
Do you dry each panel immediately after washing, or do you wait to do everything at the end?
This is crazy comprehensive
You said in between washes to have the ONR bottle on hand but don't recommend to clean the entire car with it. To wash the car don't you use the ONR bottle for the entire car? Thanks so much!
Can you please provide a recommendation for the ceramic coating your use for your winter wheels. You mention it but don't provide the product you use.
Just spent over 200 on these things, nice video. Should have the new Tesla staying clean!
What’s the best way to get colourlock? Amazon not selling anymore.
7 months later, seems like their website isn't selling anymore either. Must have gone out of business.
Thanks for making this video. I am receiving my Tesla model 3 the beginning of next month😀

Do you use the Opti-seal on the exterior glass?
The seat cleaning kit is unavailable on Amazon,do you have a discount code if we order from their website ?
I think the onr bottle says 1oz/2gallons for wash. Is this a mistake in the video or is it coming out more concentrated now?
Does the door suede/alcantara fall in the ONR or the Colourlock category?
Colourlock unavailable. Any alternatives?

Do you need to hand wash your car right after you clean it up with a pressure washer? Do you dry our your car after using a pressure washer?
I didn't see anywhere in the video where you had to rinse off the soap with a hose. Is it not necessary with the soap you use?
a capful of onr is half an oz, not one oz. Your reco of a capful per gallon is right though.

Hello, can I also wash the same way and use the same products for a vinyl wrapped Tesla?
Thanks for this - just to confirm, 3 capsful of ONR for 3 gallons of water?
I wish we could get a straight answer on this. Based on the 1oz/per 2 gallon instructions seems it should be 1.5 caps of ONR to 3 gallons
Does washing it with a pressure washer run the glass on the roof?
Most of the items are “currently not available” I’m guessing everyone went to buy them through your links
When using ONR with GSM 500 towels in between washes, what do you do with the towels afterwards? Just rinse it and put it back in the car after dry?
Can I do dry on dry for say brushing off pollen? Or should I ONR that with the GSM 500 towels still? Not sure how to deal with all the pollen landing on my car every 15 seconds. Thank you!

Yoo I needed this video my 3 is dirty af😂😂😂
Am I slow or is there not a link for the red sponge?
If I get my MY ceramic coated, should I still use the optiseal and the wax? Not sure if this was mentioned
Hello. Thanks for the video. Do you use opti-seal on the glass?
I have a matte PPF on my Tesla. Everything basically washes off with a light hosing. However do you have any recommendations on how I should clean it?
I tried getting the seat clean/protection kit and it’s currently sold out do you have any other one that may work or is it just that one you trust?
To be clear you need 3 capfuls of ONR, not just one?
Came here to find this reply! I believe you are correct.
I think the bottle says 1oz/2 gallons for wash. Is this a mistake in the video or is it coming out more concentrated now?
@@valeband Same as you, and I think you are correct too. Other guides says 1 capful pr. gallon :)
Do u recommend Waterless spray or car wash
Is your car ceramic coated in this video? Is car wax, opti seal worth it to use if I have a XPEL ceramic coating?
If the tires are new less then 1K miles do you still need to clean them with the Power Clean?
How is your steering wheel different? Custom made?
Link for sponge?
