- Bad endings. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. Just when the hero(es) thought everything was finally right, just when it looked like peace had finally returned to the world, something happens that, at best, creates a bittersweet victory and, at worst, spoils everything and the enemies win, despite everything that happened throughout your adventure. Bad endings don't give you any second chances, you screwed things up for everyone and you must pay dearly...

Look, I normally wouldn't ask this or care, but to all the people disliking the video, would you mind actually explaining to me through a comment on what I did wrong with it to warrant it so I can possibly improve enough in future to make something more to your liking?
I have always hated likes and dislikes on this website because I think they are utterly USELESS: they don't inform video makers of what they did right or wrong, especially not compared to a detailed comment, but I guess many people prefer to drop dislikes anonymously to be a dick instead.
It's for these reasons that at one point, I disabled likes and dislikes entirely when it was an option, (Thanks for taking that away, UA-cam; if they really don't want people to see the dislikes for some videos, then why won't they bring that back?) but apparently, anyone using a basic function of a website is a "coward" because they're "afraid to get dislikes", even though they're ALSO denying themselves the chance of getting likes, but no-one ever views it that way, for some reason - no, only video creators can be cowards, not the people dropping dislikes without explaining why, oh no, no, no.
Honestly, if UA-cam really did remove likes and dislikes one day and it encouraged people to actually comment more instead of doing this, then that would be for the better, in my opinion.

bro! I totally agree! I also hate likes and dislikes, in addition to not informing, it also puts a lot of emphasis on things that don't matter, like a stupid meme joke that someone comments, which has been seen a thousand times elsewhere, zero originality -_-
I don't feel there is anything wrong with your videos, I love them, and I even feel motivated by them, I want to make my own, talking about things that I found creepy in video games as a child.
Thanks, and I totally agree. I'm so sick of seeing the same meme jokes get posted everywhere. I disabled comment voting as soon as it was introduced because all it does is make people afraid to have a mind of their own, but of course UA-cam eventually decided to force it as well, for some reason. Comment voting is the reason Reddit is the stinking pile of crap that it is.
Likes and dislikes are manipulating people into following trends
The screen makes me think Scab is about to kidnap Soccer Kid while he's vulnerable, but then it shows the map and he flies home to England. Maybe Scab gave him a ride home? Like "No hard feelings kid. I didn't get the trophy either, remember?"

The bizarre and unnerving feeling you describe is a common phenomenon dubbed “Eurojank”.
The first time is always the most jarring, isn't it? I guess my first encounter with a Bad Ending would be Castlevania: Symphony of the Night where you kill Richter. I later found stories and audio from a cut ending that was even worse where you can get Maria killed too. Great job, Alucard!

For those curious, the true ending after you fight Scab is just a still image of Soccer Kid with his foot planted triumphantly on Scab's head, smiling as he hands the World Cup back to its rightful owners. No "Thank you Soccer Kid" text or anything of the sort.
Then it shows the "Soccer Kid flies back to England" sequence and the high score table, just as in the bad ending. Bit lame, which is probably why Git didn't feel like showing it.

Dude you mention that the Amiga games have this bizarre atmosphere to them, REALLY hope you do creepy bosses on Wiz n' Liz. Every single boss in that game is creepy as hell lol

Idk if the game ever showed what the alien looked like up to that point or if you neglected to show it but only seeing his design after failing was weirdly effective for me. Idk if it was because he was about to abduct that innocent kid or Scab’s weird hook hand but something about this didn’t sit right with me and I’d have to agree this is kinda creepy.
Don't even need to get to the ending, that opening graphic is creepy enough.
Hey Whoisthisgit, remember when you did Bubble Bobble's bad ending video? Well, I think you might be freaked out if you see Bubble Symphony's bad endings. Bubble Symphony is the sequel to Bubble Bobble and its bad endings have some unfortunate implications for its Bubble Bobble's heroes and heroines.

5:23 The reason for the opera singer is that's supposed to be Luciano Pavarotti, whose performance of Nessun Dorma was used on the World Cup UK coverage in 1990 and resulted in it becoming ludicrously popular and well known. The boss music is actually Nessun Dorma in rocked-up Amiga style.
I'm surprised this game actually has a backstory complete with a real villain! I thought this would just be another Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde where some innocent kid is just trying to play soccer and/or get to a soccer game, but every living being cold and warm blooded alike, is hell bent on making sure this child breathes his last breath by any and every means necessary.
I guess it still DOES suffer from the same hilarity to an extent. But maybe Lord Xenu, or whoever had his trophy bits scattered, also possessed all of the inhabitants in this game to become blood thirsty and aggressive. It makes a lot more sense than an entire town all coming together to ruin the happiest day of a man's life, like in Jekyll and Hyde. 😂
i always get that unnerving feeling with n64 games. mario 64 is terrifying for me
Tbh the concept of Mario 64 is kinda creepy to say the least
N64 has a particular set of qualities that makes it feel creepy and lonely. Off the top of my head, the primitive 3D models are uncanny, the games have a lot of dark/foggy environments, and they often have ambient music and basically no voices, which makes them feel very quiet
ParagonX9 did an amazing cover of the Bowser's Castle theme from Mario 64 back in the 2000s, wouldn't normally mention it but it really hits that "spooky, lost, uncanny" vibe in places.
I don't get that feeling from Mario 64 at all, for some reason, it seems very light hearted and cartoony to me. But Ocarina of Time was based on Mario 64's engine and I never shut up about how creepy and sad the game seems to me.
The actual '94 World Cup? It was against Brazil and Italy, and it went 0-0. Brazil won via penalty kicks.

Played that too. Kind of surprised to find out it was not the only football/ platforming game in existence!
I looked into the 1994 FIFA World Cup after this. To nobody's surprise, Brazil won. Yeah, when it comes to football, you're either good at it, bad at it, or are Brazil.
Being humillated in a stadium like that sounds pretty horrifying
The whole game makes me wonder why FIFA wouldn't just replace the trophy, or try to fix it themselves... wait, right, it's FIFA, they probably would try and make the host country pay for it instead.

Never heard of the game. I usually only cover games I've played myself before so I can naturally give my own perspective.
@@whoisthisgit The Fear and Hunger duology (at the time of this posting) is relatively recent starting at the tail end of 2018, and not even that expensive ($20 USD for both games). They ARE geared towards being hard for a variety of reasons, though, so be warned.
Oh, and also, there are censor mods, 'cause oh boy... for the sake of monetization, you'll need 'em.

It's an incredibly dark indie game series that's gotten a lot of attention lately. May be bleaker than you'd like to show fully (like Waxworks). but you'd probably have a lot to say about it, and it would be cool to see you cover it one day.

It all starts with this...
Yoooo I used to play a badly copied version of this as a kid! Couldn't finish the levels because it was bugged so I had to rely on the crack's built in cheat codes to play them all. Blew my mind to find out it wasn't anything to do with Sonic Team, thanks for the nostalgia and making me watch the ending finally.

I feel a ending that creeped me out is in Undertale, not genocide, but two neutral routes, Alphys route (obtained by killing everyone but muffet) is a route in which only alphys talks with you, talking about how she changed from all of her friends dying, there are two certain lines that make this ending really creepy, I wont spoil them, the second is the Leaderless 2 route, which is by killing all boss monsters + 20 individual monsters, it has really eerie ambience to go with it, as sans talks about how everything is chaos, all thanks to you. with a special line at the end of the ending, please check these two out for the next creepy endings
bro the world cup was a year ago already! This video makes me feel nostalgic, 'cause my country was victorious, I remember that in my neighborhood all the people went out to the streets to celebrate, they were really having the time of their lives.
About the video, if I was experience this bad ending as a kid, I would be scared too, it's pretty uncanny the feeling, that hooked, freaky hand, and his murderous face xD
as a kid I was the same unsettling feeling with the nes, I remember that the lose life tune from Circus Charlie used to freak me out along with the lion face xD first you have a normal looking lion, then BANG! it turns into a bug-eyed freak with no pupils and spiky hair, brrrr, the music weird too

1:20 I think the 3 make the whole experience weird. I watch an Amiga stream and it feels just like you said, and I haven't played anything from that system.
My first bad endi g was o. The SNES playing turtles in time. If u beat it on easy mode, at the end shredder laughs at you and tells u u have to beat me on a harder difficulty ... that shit ahook me in my boots😅😅😅😅

I feel like this makes more sense on the Japanese version of the game
Amiga always strikes me as a bit unnverving because the whole "demoscene" atmosphere thing that doesn't seem to really care about the player.
Awesome graphics but disconect level design and awesome music but also disconected to the theme and aesthetic of the game is the reasonm I think. You're playing something that is alienating itself from you, as a player.

Hey! I remember this game! Though where I am it is The Adventures of Kid Alerts for the SNES! Though the Amiga version is still superior I will admit! Just one of a few games we got on the other side of the pond that were on the Amiga originally.
Avenging Spirits (both the Arcade and Gameboy versions) has a bad ending, by the way
