- The previous episode of Creepy Bad Endings was focused on the Sega Genesis adventures of a music-loving duo who practically embody the spirit of the 90's, so it's only fitting that the "sequel" should focus on the OTHER duo who met all those requirements, though this one is portrayed under a much more negative light...
Bad endings. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. Just when the hero(es) thought everything was finally right, just when it looked like peace had finally returned to the world, something happens that, at best, creates a bittersweet victory and, at worst, spoils everything and the enemies win, despite everything that happened throughout your adventure. Bad endings don't give you any second chances, you screwed things up for everyone and you must pay dearly...

Guess one of the reasons why this ending isn't as creepy as previous ones is because these guys clearly aren't taking their deaths seriously. Either they've yet to grasp the finality of death or they just don't care. The latter seems like the most plausible.
Do Beavis and Butthead care about anything but rock music and breasts? Hell usually has neither.
In Beavis And Butthead world, everything is cool or sucks. Death sucks and that is the end of it
Then again, their the same people that didn't took the whole "bomb" thing way too seriously in Do America.
Apathy is like breathing air in this setting. There's very little that excites or terrifies, except maybe that nightmare Beavis had where his tombstone reads 'Here lies Beavis. He never scored.'

I played this as a kid, I remember by sheer guessing that the password to the inside of Burgerworld was BUTTHEAD. I don't think the game tells you and is a pure strategy guide moment.
There is bathroom graffiti that tells you for a good time try BUTTHEAD.
Than again it's the same devs behind Mario's time machine and Mario is missing so of course it's cryptic.

I remember one game magazine I used to read justifying it by something along the lines of "what's an 8-digit password that those two morons would actually be able to remember".
The way you can fish with the boot to spawn an invincible 1 hit kill Earl in your house would be like if there was a way to make Pyramid Head guard the front entrance of Peach's castle in Super Mario 64.
I understand wanting to come back to an old game you never finished when you were younger. Happened to me with a niche rpg called Saga Frontier 2. Had a huge difficulty spike at the end I was never able to get over as a kid. Eventually got the game and finished it like 10 years later, lol.
Its such a good feeling haha. I finished Breath of Fire 2 for the first time like 8 years after playing it as a kid. My problem was that the language barrier made it impossible to understand what I should do or who I should interact with. 🤦🏻♂️
Sonic The Hedgehog. I could never get past Marble Zone. When I found out about the mobile port, I played it until I finally beat it. That is one of my favorite achievements to date.

Seeing a Creepy Bad Endings video on Demon's Crest would be awesome, especially because there's 4 unique endings depending on how far you progress through the game before fighting the final boss.
Agreed, underrated game. I'd also like to see his take on the various horrific bad endings in the SMT, Devil Survivor and Persona series'.

The ironic thing is, in the episode "The Final Judgement of Beavis", Beavis winds up condemned to Hell, and upon arrival, Beavis is actually very excited to be there! He sees skeletons rocking out, demons whipping women as they scream in terror, plus his fetish... "FIRE!!! _FIRE!!! _*_FFFFFFFFFFIREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!_* " Beavis actually thought Heaven sucked, so Hell was a better place for him!

@@omegahaxors3306 He just gave a half-assed eulogy for Beavis, then said "Later, dude!" But then seconds later, Butt-Head wakes Beavis up from a dream, just because they're missing Iron Justice on TV.
Ohhh man, this game. It ticked me off to no end, lol! It's the perfect example of a game that players almost always need a guide on how to complete because of how obscure things are. But even having a guide, the game's unfair difficulty still keeps you down. It's a pretty funny game though so I can't say I didn't enjoy it at all. It just has got a lot working against it.
To others who want to try this game, here are some tips to minimize headaches:
-Get a guide of course, lol!
-Try to do each area by taking as little damage as possible. This may take a bunch of tries. Generally just charging through when you have it memorized is key while picking up health recovery along the way.
-When you do, get the password written down when you go back home to change locations. That way if things go awry, you have a checkpoint of sorts even if the password is a chore.
-It's not a long game if you know what to do, but given the difficulty it's probably best played across multiple sessions so you don't get burned out.
@Hi_Nu Ver 0 Zero_Tester I normally wouldn't use a guide either. But some stuff in some games are so obscure like the things here that I had absolutely no idea what to do a lot of time. It may as well have been in another language, lol!

@@AA4AA4 Very long; the first CBE was released at January 2010. There will always be bad endings to be found wherever multiple endings are possible.
I hope it's Army Men. Game over scenes in this game are pretty... disturbing, to say the least.
@@Robsonski96 Oh, I saw the defeat scenes in Army Men alright. But I feel that a Pyrrhic Victory can be an excellent contender for Creepy Bad Endings.

The concept of seeing the main characters of a game dying and getting sent to either heaven or hell always freaked me out. And that's not different with this game. It's game over screen still freaks me out up to this day.
Most Video Game Character Deaths: *Dies in unthinkable agony when facing either a swarm of baddies, bosses, going into traps, making bad choices, and so on and so forth*
Beavis & Butthead: Easily just spend their time in hell, working 24/7 to pay for a home rent here, and nothing else aside having demon neighbors & The Lord Of Hell.
I played the SNES version of this game. Very sliiiiightly different plot. Gwar concert is still a thing, but here they decide to try and get in free by taking pictures of what they think is cool, such as chopping down all the trees in one location for example… with chain saws. It’s basically a straight up beat’em up game.

Since I just beaten it like a few days ago, I would love to see an episode or a few episodes dedicated to the sequel of Nine Hours Nine Person Nine Doors known as Virtues Last Reward.
Damn yes some of those bad ends and even some of the regular ends were... oof. No spoilers from me, go find them yourselves.

My gosh this game is so unfairly difficult it isn't even funny and it has one of the WORST password systems I've seen in my life...
And wow I never knew you got punished for pause buffering in the Billy Bob chase I just kept dying over and over trying to try it the legit way lol

This true ending clearly has some "Leave My True Ending Alone" material.
There's a Beavis And Butthead game where the super secret ending is that Butthead pulls out a shotgun, says "Fuck you, Beavis," and murders Beavis for no reason.

I loved this game as a kid. GWAR was my all time favorite band and they played a 16 bit version of my favorite GWAR song "Jack the World." Now the lead singer is gone and things aren't the same. RIP Dave Brockie.
I really hope he ends up covering BAD END THEATER. It feels like it'd fit in perfectly as the choice for the big 100.

6:39 It's actually possible to kill Earl if you use the boot with the fishing rod if you have the boxing glove stick weapon. He dies in 1 hit from it.
When I was 4 or 5, this at 0:49 scared me a lot lol.
I think seeing the lawn mower, made it look like they got chopped. And then their
faces on red, with the "loud" sound effect freaked me out lol. I think I ran out of the room lol

I think that if you take the boot to someone specific - I think it's the pawn shop guy; I vaguely remember he'd give you some somewhat cryptic advice regarding anything he wouldn't actually buy from you if you showed such items to him - he'll give you a warning that you REALLY want to just ignore using the boot. Your video shows the consequences of not heeding the advice you may never have actually received.

It's an old game but are you going to cover for Spec ops the line? That game has one early ending (bad) and in the end depends on your last choices 2 more bad and 1 kind of relaxing ending (kind of)

How does Earl even know they found one of his lost boots? Their Gwar costumes look terrible, just leftover bondage attires.
The fact that this game is so unforgiving as to require using savestates makes it seem more like the programmers were assholes who trolled the gamers on purpose.
But at least it makes the SNES version look easy.

A 90s licensed game where the source material isn't combat focused, and it's halfway decent? Gwar must truly rule in order to achieve that. Rare to see an adventure game with a harder alternate path to solve.

I don't find the game over to be much of a creepy bad ending, but the game over and endings sure are worth talking about. I think that the reason the game over doesn't disturb me is how little Beavis and Butthead care. They react like it's an inconvenience rather than eternal damnation.
I remember how much that ending scared me I didn't watch Beavis and Butt-Head because of the thought of them in hell disturbed me when I was younger

One game (or is it series) that would be good for Creepy Bad Endings would be The Binding of Isaac. Many endings and not much happiness.
Aside the True Ending is very hard to unlock since in order to do so, you'll have to constantly kill the heart multiple times to unlock the later stages while getting specific items to enter The Corpse & The TV.
