Looks like Kapiton polyamide tape used to mask- we used that in watchmaking school to mask off brushed finish areas on watch cases, jewelry industry also uses it for similar purposes. Only problem with all this is you have to buy rebuild kits and take caliper totally apart to do it 😖 assuming rebuild kits aren't cheap. I wonder if anodizing would work. Cant flake off...
The ''BREMBO'' text is stock from the factory not a sticker. I understand that there are ways to ''imprint'' the text into the paint like from the factory but is quite an expensive process.
Were did you get the pre cut tape for the pistons and mounting points ? Also what did you use on the bridge connection pipes to get them black was it powder coat too ? They came out perfect 😎👌🏼
The pre cut masking tape was measured in the spot then cut on a vinyl printer. Yes the hoses and bolts were all powdercoated black. If you do this DO NOT coat the threads. Just the visible bits. Good luck!
These guys look like they do great work, but the fact that he never had any eye protection on seems very unprofessional. I got excited when I saw the respirator during the painting process but I was blown away by the fact that they still didn’t have any eye protection on. I’m sure the end result is good, but one mistake and the dude could lose his eyesight.
Wow beautiful job!
very clean job looks great!
Loved the article!
Torque specs on the final bolts?
70Nm to clamp the two caliper halves together.
Looks great , any link for the paint strip ?
Oxytech.com.au classique stripper from memory.

The rebuild kit was under 100 for all 4 calipers. Its just a bunch of seals
Where does one find those rebuild kits for the calipers😅?
Brembo sell new seal kits. EBay has heat proof stickers and the rest is just some elbow grease and powder or paint. GL.
What kinda purple powdercoat is this I want mine that color
Oxytech "Toyota Grey"
I need to do this to my Evo, my brembo calipers look SO sad atm 🥺
Do it. You won't regret it.
How much do you charge to do a set of 4 calipers ?
I don't do them but contact a local powdercoating joint.
what type of decals are these??
Heat proof from ebay.
😍
Always wanted to do this but I can't find my shell to shell torque specs
Scour forums and groups for the man service manuals. Torques are all in there.

This is a sticker to replace the original decal

Is there any particular reason why the editor decided to drown the person speaking with music? if i want to hear music i'd put a music video..
Because that person wasn't happy with their narration skillz so threw music over the top.
@@MattSpeedhunters Fact? rather have a good effort with a real voice than the ultra professional ultra geared, ultra edited circus..
Where did you find torques specs on bolts holding calipers together?
Service manual printouts.
background music louder than you voice
Yeah sorry about that. I'll mix it better next time. Video = steep learning curve. :]

Get rid of the music...
