Nice video guys but I’m a little disappointed that you didn’t show the true manual mode in action in detail. It would be nice to see how you guys engaged manual shifting plus a few pulls from low rpm and high gear. Currently the transmission auto downshifts in S-mode when I give it throttle and doesn’t hold the current gear. It would be nice to see if this tune actually locks the gear and doesn’t upshift nor downshift unless the paddles are pulled.
True manual mode is just that. You hit the sport button and you HAVE to use the paddle shifters. There is no automatic gear shifting that occurs at ANY RPM. No down shifts. No upshifts.

I assume the car will still auto shift down instead of letting the car stall? Will the gear display also indicate down (because stock if it says S4 and auto shifts down it will still read as S4)?
Whoever installed the back middle seat head cusion on almost all 2018-19 Camrys was extremely high... We have 3 10th gen Camrys and they are all slanted as well lol.
Well, their stock official numbers are basically the same, which is around (or just under) 6 seconds. I was surprised to see over 7.5 seconds in this video, even with 3 adults in. Maybe they're at elevation...?
Hey guys question, I have zero tune experience so is this a pretty simple process to set up and all like straight forward or do you recommend I have a shop do it.
I didn’t know how to do it but the instructions were easy and the d3 support was awesome when I had issues loading when they came out with an update. I would highly recommend makes a big difference
Glad you guys did a video on this. Been hearing about this tune...one thing I’m trying to understand. Sounds like a stupid question but I can’t seem to find the answer. Can you switch between each tune without changing the type of gas? Or do you have to first fill up your car with 93 octane gas then switch to the 93 octane?
You would have to switch top 93 or put octane booster in. Although you could have 93 in on a 87 tune. Has to be higher, cannot be lower. No question is a stupid question, hope you enjoyed the video!! Don5 forget to subscribe!

Can I do this tune on a 2019 camry se or should I look for another tune?
This company is going to do a 4cyl. This tune is v6 only.
Performance On Wheels thanks for the fast reply! I will be waiting for that tune
@@urfaceistoofunny let us know what you think when you get it!
Will the tune work for a 2014 v6 Camry
Finally some hope for my Camry . But I have. A19. I guess I’ll just update the cool led tail lights .
Whoever installed the back middle seat head cusion on almost all 2018-19 Camrys was extremely high...
We have 3 10th gen Camrys and they are all slanted as well lol.
Here in Australia we’ve got 91, 95 and 98 octane available, no lower than 91 octane.
I thought I have read it is a different measurement though? I would have to look it up. 98 Octane here is pretty much race fuel.
Yup. Different method used. In Australia they use RON. In the US we use AKI, also called (R+M)/2. That means a 91 AKI is about 95-97 RON.
Got 4.5 seconds, with D3 and TRD
What can I add to my Toyota Camry TRD 2020 to make it a bit faster ?
AEM cold air intake and magnaflow exhaust would be excellent choices!
Hey I have a 2015 Camry would this tuner you used work for me?
Is this for the V6 only ? Would it be a good idea to install the D3 on a 2.5 cyl?
They have said they are and will work on the 4 cylinder. For now it is only V6 Camry.
Nice upgrade (y) I wonder is this tuned camry can be compared 0-60 run to mk4 lexus gs 350 ?
I'm not sure🤔
Well, their stock official numbers are basically the same, which is around (or just under) 6 seconds. I was surprised to see over 7.5 seconds in this video, even with 3 adults in. Maybe they're at elevation...?
Hello friends this d3 performance tune eliminate the 136mph speed limit??
I want to say yes. I would need to look back into it to verify. It has been a minute.
@@PerformanceOnWheels if this tune eliminate the speed limiter i buy in a few days, please tell me
It does
@@PerformanceOnWheels and with the spped limit remove how is the top speed?
Hey guys question, I have zero tune experience so is this a pretty simple process to set up and all like straight forward or do you recommend I have a shop do it.
Just loading a tune? It is pretty simple. Follow instructions. If you don't follow the basic instructions then you can brick the ecu.
I didn’t know how to do it but the instructions were easy and the d3 support was awesome when I had issues loading when they came out with an update. I would highly recommend makes a big difference
Any update on the Camry?????
😎🤥🤷♂️
Will this be available for the 19 se Camry ? Maybe?
You will have to contact d3 performance about that
Glad you guys did a video on this.
Performance On Wheels oh for sure, already subbed. Gotta follow my Camry clan lol
@@darktatsu2894 😁😁😁
where do i get the tuner?
Wow! Love it!
Hard not too right?
Hello friends this tune eliminate the speed limit of 135mph ????
Have not tried that out for verification purposes..........yet.
Just subbed ... great video !
Glad you enjoyed it!
When switching to the 93oct did you put 93 gas in it
Wondering the same
Yes
If I have a 2020 Camry TRD, it comes with sports tuned suspension and TRD catback exhaust. I wouldn’t need to upgrade anything else right? Just the tune should be okay?
Well no you don't need to upgrade anything at all... check our our most recent video comparing this to a TRD
ua-cam.com/video/8dKycbfo7lI/v-deo.html
Can you put the links where you bought the D3 tuner and cold air intake?... I’m going to put it on my TRD, would love to get some more power. Thanks!

Not sure if you tested the top speed but has that changed at all or was it still limited by factory ?
There website claims it takes off the limiter
Does the 93 octane one cost more?
Why do these camrys always seem to kinda hesitate on the shift when floored? 😒
The lame traction control system
How much horsepower does the tune add
Not much
I need this on the 2.5 4 cyl, and pops and crackles!!
A 7 sec 0-60.....i was pretty sure this car was a 2.5.......
That would be sweet!
@@mrdudelove1 Sorry, not following?
@@PerformanceOnWheels
Hahaha sure i will
Can this be done in a 2016 camry se 2.5L?
They are making a different tune for the 2.5
Performance On Wheels can u make a video about that one, please?🙏🏻
We would but we don't have access to the 2.5 nor or we sponsored by d3 performance
did you have the car in sport mode while doing the 93 octane cold air intake true manual clips? i have 19 xse v6 with this tune and im very in press!
Yes we did testing in sport mode, I did accidentally have the camera in the wrong setting so none of the clips ended up turning out. Very impressed for sure!!
@@PerformanceOnWheels nice another question since you are changing wheels could it help with the pull when doing a 0-60 because im sure factory rims weight more then aftermarket?
@@cameronlharper yes but not only that. We are putting substantially wider rims and tires for more grip and a very sticky tire. We should see a very large improvement in acceleration and turning
@@PerformanceOnWheels what will be the specs on wheels and it being wider?
@@cameronlharper So the new rims are 19 x 8.5 (1/2 wider). Tires are P245 (stock P235). That's 10mm wider or .3937".
That would be nice for all 2arfe 2.5 motor
Yuhh
Does this work with the same year Lexus es350?
No it doesn't
What cold air intake in installed
AEM
Anybody know if there’s a burble tune for Camry’s?
I am not aware of one
Can I use this tune for a 2015 se Camry?
No
How much more torque steer did the 93 tune add?
Absolutely none
If i was to do this, does the d3 have to be installed at all times after or can I box it up after?
You do not need to leave it plugged in.
Impressive
Very
How can I get this tune??
Right here Daniel!
d3performance.net/index.php/product/camry-performance-tuner/
Any tunes for a stock v6 xle?
I'm not sure
Great video,
Does the D3 tune void the warranty of the vehicle?
Yes
How would they know if you switch back. It happens but yes it does but perhaps they won’t find out
So with the 93 tune am I able to put 91 octain gas in it still or no?
No you would need 93. You would need to put a 91 tune on to use 91
@@PerformanceOnWheels okay thats what I thought I waa just checking since 93 isnt super readily available where im at. Thanks!
It isn't here either unfortunately we switched it to 91 after the video
What octane fuel ⛽️ did you guys use
91. We don't have 93 here in MN at least not everywhere
Thanks guys keep up 🆙 ⬆️ the good content
Snake oil does make it 93 octane and MMT is terrible for the engine
so what’s the hp now from stock v6 to tuned?
Not sure...
How much for this tune??🤔🤔Been looking around a while now for a good tune for my Camry.
$600
Bet
Can put this without a cold air intake?
Yes
I'd be interested in seeing how quick it is with a Pedal Commander!
Would be interesting🤔
Why so slow even after the mods?
You guys need to drop a supercharger in this thing from underdog racing.
You need to subscribe then😳. We like how you think!
If only underdog made something for the camry....
Hmmmmmm
Is this tune worth purchasing? Did it meet your standards?
First impression were great. Huge improvements with shift points and response. We will see how big that power difference is when we take the tune off coming up. Subscribe and stay tuned??
Would you happen to know if the 4cyl option is available yet
No not by d3 performance it is not
