These both turned out gorgeous! I collect all things peacock, from art, to home decor items, to the feathers themselves, so when I saw that on the thumbnail, I knew I had to watch this one. I'm glad I did, because I Love both projects! You have a real talent for embroidery. I'm just starting to get into it, myself, but you've given me so much inspiration with these two cardigans. Thank you for posting this video! ❤🦚🌻
Thank you so much IImalind, I am absolutely blown away by your exquisite embroidery skills. Both these pieces are very beautiful and uniquely gorgeous and pieces of artwork, and the Peacock is outstandingly stunning too. I’ve subscribed because I thoroughly admire and enjoyed watching you create such beautiful pieces out of very ordinary pieces. That they’re now treasured items. I absolutely love ❤❤❤❤❤ your style and talents I’ve given you a thumbs up too
UA-cam random just spit this video out for me and I’m glad I clicked. I really love the floral worked you did! I never thought about felting on cloths but now I want to thrift some wool yarn when I can find it to give this a try! Currently the thrifting gods have only given me 1 skein of burnt/autumn orange but I try not to buy too many craft supplies unless I have a project clearly planned for it. I guess I could try with my (thrifted) embroidery thread for now.
Thank you so much for watching ❤️ I'm glad this video has encouraged you to take an interest in felting! I feel like it's the most underrated fibre craft even though it's so versatile and in addition to simple decorations (like I used it for) it can also be used to sculpt 3D objects and even as a way to mend things😀
@Ilmalind it’s also good for repairing holes in wool and cashmere. Just lint shave the sweater and use the fibers to fill the hole and felt it into place with the surrounding knit. Add more lint if needed. 👍
Me too. I've been knitting and crocheting a lot this winter. I've got a couple sweaters that I love, from the thrift store, wool. An going to embellish then with embroidery in wool, and/or knitted or crochet things like contrast color cuffs or applied flowers. Many of my favorite things, most, are thrift store treasures. I haven't bought many clothes in the past ten years, yet I still own way way too much.
I totally relate to having too many clothes! Especially too many items where the style doesn't appeal to me anymore. These two rescues were really eye-opening in how simple it is to refresh items whose style I've outgrown. I absolutely love your idea of crochet flower appliques!
That second cardigan is absolutely gorgeous and I desperately want to try making one for myself now! Thank you for including so many details and instructions so I have some ideas on how to go about it. Cottagecore, for sure, but I also think it'd make an amazing sweater for a hobbit outfit!
Hobbits are the the blueprint for cottagecore I think, they're absolutely undefeated when it comes to putting together a gorgeous outfit😆I love that you're inspired to make something beautiful too!!

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Well done!
Beautiful embroidery on both sweaters...the colors, designs and skill are all wonderful. It's fun to see how others work and pick up tips, thank you.

I truly enjoyed watching

@Ilmalind I certainly don't need more crafts, have a closet full of things to do already haha but do want to try this.
