Great video. Really liked that you focused on people with smaller hands. I don’t think many gun enthusiast UA-cam channels take that into consideration.
Thank you for the comment! Tiny hands aren’t something most guys are proud of or willing to admit to, but it’s definitely an obstacle you have to consider when dealing with any weapon system :)
Really enjoy the “How to” videos you share along with your “Don’t do this” experiences. Makes it real for the viewer. Many UA-camrs edit those out and makes us novices feel inadequate. Always look forward to your weekly videos!
Thank you! I feel it’s important to show the mistakes, that way everyone can learn from them. Ultimately, I want to encourage newcomers to just give it a try! If my tiny hands can do it, so can yours!
Cool to see that customizing kits come in all shapes and sizes. Glad to see you got something to fit your needs. Its cool you leave in all the mistakes and roll with the punches. Keep rolling smalls! 😊
Great video. I just subscribed! I need that switch 👊🏽… I love that g17 build you got . I just built one on my channel. Now looks like I’m getting one of theses !! 😊
Thank you! Yeah definitely give it a shot I think you’ll enjoy it! Nice thing is, I believe they now have a pre-installed option too! I’ll have to check out your channel!
It’s doing pretty good, I love how much easier it is to actuate the light and for people with small hands I think it’s a must. One issue that I have, because I did not modify my holster, is that it occasionally catches when a reholster. I believe the company recommended shaving a channel in the holster to accommodate the paddle shifter. Most of the time it is not an issue, but I think they have since updated the design to alleviate that issue, so I wouldn’t hesitate to give them a try.
It kinda looks like a gas peddle and when you have the light activated you definitely can keep downward pressure on it but it is not what it was designed for. I would say give it a shot and see if you like it.
I bought this pistol before the 43X was available but more importantly I wanted a full size pistol because they just shoot better. The tinier you go the harder they are to handle in my experience. I have lots of different sized pistols, from tiny pocket pistols to long slides. If you’re asking which one is best between the G17 or G43x, I’d say it depends on what you’re intending to use it for. The G17 in this video was intended for “duty use” with a battle belt application where as I see the G43x being an excellent EDC option.
I tried to bend it back but couldn’t manage to get it to return to the stock position with the paddle installed. I’m sure this is something people mess up often, because now they offer a pre-installed option that I definitely would consider in the future.

Haha when you got tiny hands you gotta find creative ways to get the job done….if you know what I mean ;)
Very informative, Thanks
You’re welcome!

@@ShortStackSurvival thank you
How is the paddle shifter holding up now?

Can you use it as a gas peddle?

Just a question. Why didn’t you just get a Glock 43X?
I bought this pistol before the 43X was available but more importantly I wanted a full size pistol because they just shoot better. The tinier you go the harder they are to handle in my experience. is there any way to bend the bar back? I just did that to mine as well and Ive got a pretty big gap/wobble

@@ShortStackSurvival does yours have any wobble? like if it rock it from the back the paddle shifter rocks a fair bit
