Ms. Lolly I've researched and viewed UA-cam videos for TN Faux Dori & Faux Bonichi type of covers for the past 2-3yrs. Your video is by far the most effective, simplistic, easy to understand and follow step by step (minus the sewing) video I've every come across. It's great to see you didn't sacrifice function or creativity. Thank you so much, love your concept. Excited to see and learn from the rest of your content. Really enjoyed your video, new subbie TFS 💓 ~ Sara

Thank you for explaining how to use the crop a dial. I bought one not the big bite but the other and could not figure out the correct way to punch the holes. Now I know. Again thank you. And you note book is beautiful. I am new at making them with fabric.
Thanks so much, dear one. :) I had purchased a stack of precut fabric. They are all different designs, but I CAN get two covers out of this one pattern!
This is exactly what I was planning on making. I love my store bought but I prefer to just fold copy paper in half so I need to make my own size. I also love the fact that with 2 attached elastics and 2 extras you can easily attach 6 books without any trouble. Since I love my books nice and fat, that is a huge advantage for me. Great work. Nice to know what I am planning will work.
OH!! This is exactly what I needed. TY for sharing, your is super cute! Also, something I do to string things through holes is I use a crochet hook!! There's small ones out there that can pull that 2mm elastic string though that tiny hole! Jules😉
Do it! :) You can do it without sewing. Just don't topstitch. I am thinking of also testing sealing the cut edge with Mod Podge, since the threads do fray.
So cute! I love it. ♥️ I may give it a try. So far I’ve only made notebooks. One thing I now do is measure mine in metric. Much easier to do as midori notebooks are 11cm x 22xm. No more fractions to deal with. An added bonus for us internationally is that an A4 sheet of paper folded in half is automatically the 22cm measurement. Only the 11cm cut is required. 😊
I used to offer measurements in both cm and inches, and I quit because all I was doing was searching online to convert the measurements, which anyone can do. It does seem though that most TN sizes were originally in metric, due to Midori brand. Thanks for watching!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it, too! :) I purchased a lavender and blue notebook that I want to make my fairie notebook, but I realized that it sounds like I was going to make the notebook, too. Great idea! Can I replace the fabric stabiliser with some thick felt and sew it together because I can’t seem to find any at my local stores.
you can use thin stabilizer, too -- to adhere felt -- I would use wool felt, though, so that it can be ironed.
I love this idea❤️

Can you tell me please what the white word beads are in your charm box as I would love some I’ve seen many people use them and I’ve no idea what to look for? Thank you x
unfortunately I got rid of the original packaging, but I believe they might be at Michaels with the embellishments.
Do you use fray check on the edges to keep the fabric from coming unraveled at the edges?
I have not, but it's definitely something you can do
What if you don't have an iron? Could you use interfacing to make the fabric thick?
Like a sew-on interfacing? It would toughen it, but it would be more floppy than this --- this stuff is really thick and sturdy
Hi Lollythat was a fab video,
I would like to try and create one.
My question is which needle size did you use in your sewing machine to pierce the thick Pelion?
I am new to sewing and am still learning, so much I need to ask. Any tips would be helpful.
I actually don't change my needle out. The Pellon is easy to sew on. I think there's a 14/16 guage in my machine?
J'adore ❤
