  • In this video, we delve into a ground-breaking statement from BYD CEO Wang Chuanfu, who discloses a revolutionary new engine that threatens to destabilise the electric vehicle market as we know it. This innovative idea is poised to challenge not only electric vehicles, but also the whole market, which is dominated by behemoths like as Tesla, Rivian, and Lucid Motors. With BYD currently a market leader in the EV space, this new engine aims to change the power balance, rendering standard electric motors outdated in contrast. How will competitors like Tesla's Elon Musk and Ford's Jim Farley react to this latest development? Can other companies such as General Motors, Toyota, and Volkswagen keep up with BYD's ambitious quest to transform the automobile industry?
As the electric vehicle race heats up, the importance of BYD's new engine cannot be overstated. Major EV competitors, like as Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi, are likely to keep a close eye on this technology because it has the potential to transform their strategies. The ability of this new engine to not only lower prices but also increase performance could signal the end of EV dominance in recent years. Stay tuned as we look at how BYD's recent move could change the automotive landscape and what it means for the future of electric transportation.

I don’t want an EV; they just don’t make good sense. “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”
Why transfer energy from fuel, to a grid, to a stationary charger, to a car? Then there’s the hassle of limited range and battery replacement costs, and cold weather.
I can better understand where a hybrid might simplify things but manufacturers won’t be passing on those savings; they’d manage to find a way to complicate it and keep it expensive. (-compare the price of auto A/C system to that of a house a.c. window unit). Why is it necessary to have expensive and complex onboard computers at all ? ‘Vintage Retro’ is the best way to go, and retain value. A bad computer absolutely destroys the value of automobiles. I’ve been through fleets; and I will never do it again!

Why transfer oil from the ground to a pipe to a ship to a pipe to a train to a refinery. Why heat it to 832 degrees f to crack it into gasoline and diesel. Why then ship again by train or pipe to truck to a service station why do this when it requires on average per nhtsa data 11 kWh of energy when that 11 kWh will propel my Tesla further than a gallon of gas I your car, and the Tesla doesn’t need the poisonous gas at all. And I spend less time filling my Tesla than you do filling your polluter. I get up every morning to a full battery and can drive over 225 miles and do it again the next day. All while saving 4/5 of your costs plus no oil changes.
