So safe to say, all of these work safely on paint at 10:1, what would you suggest for foam cannon pre-rinse? 5:1
I prefer Super Clean. It is a very good cleaner for tires, removing bugs and also for the interior. For $9 a gallon it is a steal!
+Jason Tubbs definitely!!!
You didnt spray the same amount of sprays
8:00 - 8:30 You could have sprayed them all with the same product to get that result. You didn't TIME which was on the longest, so the one left the longest might have cleaned the "best" anyway.
Would these degreasers damage clearcoat?
That’s what I’m trynna figure out
I used several on old stained dirty steel wheels and bar far PURPLE POWER dissolved the stains and dirt best by far. It was used Concentrated full power. Zep 505 is great as well but didn't test it.
No purple power is a knock off Castro super clean that leaves residue. The real battle is between super clean and super degreaser. There's a reason "purple" power decided to make their product purple and "super" degreaser used the word "super" in its name. They both started by chasing super clean. I've used super clean in the 90s but it was expensive then. So I opted for the cheaper purple power amd got by. Now it's cheap and readily available where's super clean is very effective but I can only get it on Amazon.
You are diluting wayyyyyyyy too much. I very rarely ever dilute purple power, and if I do it’s like a 3:1. Three parts purple power to one part water.
How did the friend pay you for detailing😬😬😬
I definitely use purple power can’t beat it
Not saying purple power wasn't easier on the trunk section but maybe running the experiment in opposite order would've had a different result because of the dwell time. Love the vids and have been using them for my own detailing.
I like the way you think!!!
Hey Luke, can I use super clean diluted 10 to 1 as a apc without damaging anything interior wise?
Ramesys Bauza That's all he does in all his videos, dude.
How do you get the measure 10 to 1 on a 32 oz bottle my friend.
30:3, waste 1 oz
Chemical guys make a spray bottle with markings on the side for different dilutions.

Hey Luke - I understand this is an older video... Hopefully someone or yourself can answer how one cleans their expensive brushes with caked on black break dust, and everything else that one cleans off dirty wheels - Much appreciated - Great videos !!!!
Mesaboogieman1 I’ve seen simple green works really well while being gentle at the same time. Same with dawn dish soap.
Stick to use the same dirty microfiber for wheels and tires just super rinse it with water after youre done and repeat to use the same one for only that and use a new clean microfiber towel for other tasks like drying , another for detailing another for glass / windshield and another one for detailing the inside dash
Use a drying mfiber towel to dry after wash , use a different new clean microfiber towel for getting the dirt off and detail the exterior. Then at last when it's detailed use a different better microfiber towel for a better shine / no streak look and feel the towel sliding with zero effort very smooth
I use a 5 gallon bucket with hot water, Add some Dawn dish soap and a Degreaser. Let everything soak for a few hours and rinse clean. That should get them as clean as possible.
These all say on the labels in big bold headings not to use on cars. I’m having a hard time understanding why so many guys do anyways
I love this guy! I’m going to his site whenever I have any questions about my car.
Would any of these products be safe to use on ceramic coated paint?
Simple green is good.
They're all good... So whatever one is cheapest and available is the best one.
+Des420 definitely one way to go about it!
Dri Wash N guard hand's down especially on Chrome.
They might all have different dilutions. AND definitely there are some things you cannot/should not use them on, stainless, aluminum etc.
Did you not watch the video??? Idiot
@@Wildcard518 You need to grow up boy. Then get the logic you have lost, right after you pull your head out, talk about idiot, you moron. I can't be the first to tell you. Dense and ignorant.
Ever try pure blaster??? Thats a beast
I got brown stains all over the front of my car after driving to nevada for thr weekened it seems as if i was driving behind someone who was leaking oil or something, luckily i was able to remove most of it that were hit on the sides of the car with just wax, however some of the stains that were hit directly towards my car such as the grill, hood, front bumper, looked as if those stains penetrated quite deep into the paint and was wondering what might help to remove these stains thanks!
is Rubbing Alcohol (95%) a no go?
Yes. That's too harsh, and a bit of a fire hazard.
Yes that's perfect for windows/windshields. It's what you're suppose to clean windows with , use it before using rainx or any other wax / ceramic water beading product
What chemical do you use with your extractor? Do you use a degreaser?
I only use it to extract with water
Purple Lighting 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
any one know where purple power is sold in Australia i sure ant paying over $50 to have it shipped here.
i find it at walmart
What’s your thoughts on Simple Green for bug removal as well as interior detail? Have you ever compared it with the others?
I havent but I am definitely getting to it!
I have used Simple Green, it's my favorite!
I like the fact it's non-toxic, with different dilution levels it safe on paint, auto-leathers, tires and interiors.
But you have to let it sit for 90 secs to 5 mins and agitate/lather for it to work well.
@qazmko22 yeah I love simple green as well it's stupid cheap and really powerful and you can use it on everything
So let me ask you what do you think it's the best one for the best buck?
I acutally use them all! Just depends on the situation!
thumbs up in 2022
Not what I was expecting. Comparing degreasers and not a single greasy part used. This was more of a car wash video. Could have just used dish soap. Next time try it on something like an old engine or tx.
Comparing "Degreasers" and not actually using them on "Greasy" surfaces. That makes sense!
+Brian D. Pretty bold assumption for looking through a screen
I'm sure he'd say it to your face. It's just true. Those degreasers are not for washing your car.
@@Thirdgen83 Meguiars Super Degreaser is not meant for washing your car?
Great video as always...and nice shirt!!!
Where do you get these degreasing/cleaning products ?
Nvm thanks for the links!
So can you add degreaser in your car Wash?
+Bmcb6232 definitely!!
How much should I add
@@Bmcb6232 a lil not too much
Hey Luke ....I have a APC that is yellow in the bottle and I was just wondering if I used food coloring just for the sake of it not looking like pee in a bottle....would it be ok to do that?
+Edgardo Lopez hahahahahahaha I'm honestly not sure! I know most colorings don't stain but I think I would just deal with the pee color cleaner 😂😂😂
I agree, just accept the color. This sounds a lot like "La's Totally Awesome All Purpose Concentrated Cleaner Degreaser Spot Remover". I'd advise getting it Amazon is super expensive, try other places first. It should be around a $1 for a 20 oz or so. Making this a killer deal. Or if your store has a "As Seen on TV".
Sorry I meant I'd advise not getting it on Amazon. Obviously if you can't get it elsewhere, then get one of the other cleaners Luke used.
I am a huge fan of purple power. But, I should say, the best to remove anything especially under the hood, I would recommend “black max”. It is the best cleaner I have found.
I’ll check it out!
What’s your favorite for under the hood over all
Hey Luke, can I use "super clean" without diluting on alloy wheels and tires? This will be only once, I buy and sell used wheels and some times they need a good cleaning.
+Mario Camey i wouldn't 😬😬 I would use meguiars wheel brightener coupled with a steamer! Check out my video on it: it's called extreme brake dust removal!
Mario, I've used SuperClean for years and would say you'd be fine using it diluted 8:1 without worrying, and you can always go stronger if needed.
no doubt my man!!! Love the tips!!
I thought you weren't supposed to use degreaser on paint because it eats the polish and paint?
Not necessarily, it depends on the dilution ratio, the amount of time you leave it, which specific degreaser youre talkking about, lots of moving parts
Jody Sailor *He clearly says he's using it on an experimenting car... Clean your ears!!!!!!*
Next time test on something that is dirty
Foreal
Hey bro I have to detail a truck that has ashes from a fire in California do you recomend purple for the whole body of truck
Yes
Over sprays.
How much do you dilute them?
/
Hey bud ,how can I remove purple power streaks from a center console Ac panel!
..HELP !PLEASE!
You didn't clean the brush .
He said that he rinsed the brush in between cleaners
In the last segment he was wiping the brush.
Watch the video again. It was edited. It skips a little when he moves on to the next section. He did clean the brush but it just wasn't shown
yes I did... no I did not just wipe it with a towel
*sigh*...... 4:08
