New Zealand Backcountry Huts: Woolshed Creek Hut

In this episode we visit Woolshed Creek Hut at Mt Somers, Hakatere Conservation Park.
Woolshed Creek Hut is a Serviced 26 bunk hut located near Mt Somers in the South Island of New Zealand.
The hut is built next to Woolshed Creek to the west of Mt Somers. It is a very sunny location with excellent views of the mountain ranges which surround it. It is a very popular hut located at the end of a 2-3 hour tramp from the carpark. This is the second hut at this location.
Here in New Zealand we have a network of government owned backcountry huts which are available to use for a nominal charge. I will be visiting a number of these huts and giving you an overview of their location, amenities and other relevant information.
